THC Bomb X (Critical Orange Punch x Bubba Island Kush)
One of my favorite breeders is undoubtedly Dutch Passion, I've gotten spectacular results from every one of their strains I've cultivated and, although this will be my first time with this particular strain, I'm sure this Sugar Bomb Punch won't disappoint!
"Sugar Bomb Punch is a cross between THC Bomb and Critical Orange Punch x Bubba Island Kush. This ‘3-way cross’ has created the very interesting and diverse odour and taste profile. Critical Orange Punch is super fruity and the Bubba Island Kush is more earthy, sour and kushy. Both the THC Bomb and the Bubba Island Kush contributed to the potency of this new strain and the relatively fast flowering time. The Critical Orange Punch, on the other hand, has slightly increased the volume and thus the yield. Combining these 3 strains has created a new strain that is unparalleled. The combination of potency, taste and heavy yields is usually the blend that every grower wants."
"Sugar Bomb Punch is an Indica-leaning hybrid cannabis strain that was created by carefully crossing different types of genetics. This strain belongs to our "USA special" family and produces some of the most potent cannabis buds you will come across. THC values are between 20-25% without too much effort.
Sugar Bomb Punch shows more of a hybrid leaf structure during the vegetative growth phase. This leaf structure is somewhat thinner/slimmer than you might expect from such a relatively fast bloomer. In late growth, as well as in bloom, the leaf structure changes slightly towards the Sativa side. She remains fairly compact, which makes her easier to handle than most Sativa dominant hybrids. Her branches are strong and respond well to bending and cracking.
Most phenotypes start to bud early in the flowering phase, usually after 2 to 3.5 weeks. At that time they also start producing trichomes very rapidly. After a good month of flowering the buds are already full of resin. Even the leaves seem to have been snowed under. When you touch the plants your hands and fingers stick together and you understand why we named this strain Sugar Bomb Punch. Some plants can be ready within 7.5-8 weeks, these are the fastest phenotypes. Others really need at least 8.5 to 9 weeks. Most plants remain fairly compact, so it is recommended to take this into account."
"Sugar Bomb Punch has a very complex aroma. The most dominant is the fruity scent reminiscent of a sweet rose. But there are also phenotypes with a more sour, citrus or berry aroma. During flowering most plants smell very fruity and sweet. Some plants have a cherry yogurt aroma, very creamy and sweet.
Once dried, the buds again have a mainly fruity and sweet character. This is accompanied with floral, creamy and berry-like notes. In terms of taste she also leans more towards the fruity side of the spectrum. Some phenotypes also have a slightly skunk-like taste, with notes of earth and grass."
"Sugar Bomb Punch can grow slightly slowly in height during vegetative growth. This is because she grows in very bushy structure, compact and with a lot of leaves. That is why we recommend defoliating the plant several times during the growth phase so that the side branches and buds will receive more light. Topping or fimming is possible and will increase the yield."**

Weekly Updates:
1/31- Week Six of veg is here for the Dutch Passion Sugar Bomb Punch and this girl is doing fantastic and looking amazing!
I now have the lights on a 18/6 schedule and the tent environment is now on point with RH running 47-52% and a temperature range of 68-75℉ resulting in a weekly averages as follows: Temperature - 73.7℉ Humidity - 49.5% VPD - 1.44kPa
I watered the Sugar Bomb Punch today with .5g of well water which I ph'd to 6.4 @ 74℉ half of which I poured in the drip pan, the rest through the top. After watering, I turned its pot 1/4 turn.
2/2- Yesterday I did a little LST on the Sugar Bomb Punch, doing some more manipulation of her four main branches, which had quickly recovered from their previous training, bend/twisting them to keep her canopy even and letting ample light down into the center of the plant.
Today, I watered the Sugar Bomb Punch today with .5g of well water which I ph'd to 6.5 @ 72℉, half of which I poured in the drip pan, the rest through the top and turned her pot 1/4 turn.
2/4- Yesterday I watered the Sugar Bomb Punch with her usual .5g of well water which I ph'd to 6.4 @ 74℉ after adding 5ml/g of Earth Juice OilyCan (Cal-Mag + Humic Acid). when I watered her I poured 1/4 of it into her drip pan, the remainder through the top to make sure that the first couple of inches of medium stays moist (knock on wood, I don't have any issues with Fungus Gnats). After watering, I adjusted some of the LST and tucked a couple of shade leaves before turning her pot 1/4 turn.
2/6- Six weeks of veg done now for the Dutch Passion Sugar Bomb Punch... Onward to Week Seven!
I'll let this girl veg for another 10-14 days before I get ready to put up the trellis, and start to train the Sugar Bomb Punch's branches into it. After I install the trellis net I'll wait about a week and then flip the light schedule to 12/12 to begin flowering, when this girl will really take off!
Today, I gave the Sugar Bomb Punch a really good watering from both the top and bottom with 1g of well water which I ph'd to 6.6 @ 72℉. She gladly drank up the water quickly, as I had let her dry out an additional day using the weight of her pot as a guide along with a soil moisture probe, which I use regularly. Well this week has been exciting, hope to see you nest week fam!😎🤙💖

Fantastic diary! keep that work bro!
I am really curious of the method of your DARK JAIL hahahaha
Could you explain me a little bit? Or just send me a post where you have explained.. I want to try that with one plant I have that still have left 4 week at least.
@mjumbo, Absolutely! Once the trichomes are developed to a point of your liking, the plants are placed in total darkness for 48-72 hours to basically stress the plant, making it think that the 'end' is near, and as a result the plant goes into overdrive with its production of trichomes (in theory). I keep the plants at 67-70℉, and the RH at 35-40%. Also, I water the plant on the day BEFORE it goes in the dark and that is the last water it receives. This allows the plant to stress a bit more, and starts the drying process before it's cut and hung. Hope this helps! ❤️❤️❤️
