First, a bit about this strain,
It's a bit strange, because usually autoflowering varieties are made based on their non-autoflower counterparts. With Think Fast, it was the other way around; the autoflower Think Different was such a pleasant surprise that a non-autoflower had to come from it! Actually, it's a bit different, although the autoflower Think Different indeed turned out to be a fantastic growing surprise that yields very good autoflower harvests. Still, that's not the only reason the seed makers at Dutch Passion crossed the strain with a clone of their classic Power Plant. There was a special discovery that preceded this.
The cannabis breeders found out that the first generation offspring of an autoflower and a non-autoflower, while not being autoflowers themselves, grow significantly faster than their photoperiod parent. These plants carry the recessive autoflower gene, but it doesn't express itself. Normally, these plants are used for further crossing to create a new autoflower.
Well, in the case of Think Fast, it grows significantly faster than Power Plant. Think Fast is not an autoflower; it needs a light impulse to bloom. However, it does grow faster and more explosively than traditional photoperiod cannabis strains (non-autoflowers, that is). So, you're actually growing a kind of superplant. It becomes large and potent like a non-autoflower but grows with the explosive speed of an autoflower. The number of flowering weeks is still 8, but Think Fast will be quite a bit larger.
Think Fast is suitable for both indoor and outdoor cultivation. Outdoors, it will also be ready a bit earlier than other traditional outdoor cannabis strains. It will reach the same size and produce the same large buds as its Power Plant parent, and is almost just as fast and easy to grow as the autoflower surprise Think Different.

So, that's quite a story, but now you know what’s up, let's get started on the report.
9/8, took one seed of Think Fast out of the fridge (because that's where I store my cannabis seeds) to acclimatize.
9/10, placed the seed for germination using the coffee filter method, the method I always use that gives me a 100% germination guarantee (with a few exceptions).
9/11, put the rock wool plug in water so it can soak up; I prepared water with an EC of 0.8 and a pH of 5.5.
9/12, the seed had germinated and had a little root of about 1 cm, again (as almost always) after 48 hours.
9/13, that evening I put the lady-to-be under the fluorescent light (T5 6400K 24 watts) because she was already about 1 cm above the plug, so she’s eager to grow.
9/14, Today I measured the temperature and the humidity for the first time, temp 26.3, humidity 54, the cotyledons were visible today, I carefully removed the seed shell, but it was hanging quite loose so no problem.
I raised the lamp a bit because she was almost touching it, and I also took some photos, the first of this lady, and added some water to the container she’s in.
9/15, Temp 25.9, humidity 56, added a bit of water to the container today, it was already clean out, I pour about 0.5 cm of water in the container.
The lady was today with her head against the lamp, so I quickly raised the lamp again; luckily, she didn’t suffer any damage, so I was on time.
The first serrated leaves were also visible, so tomorrow I’ll start with week 1.

On 18-6, the plant was transferred to a net pot and placed in the growth container of +/- 5 liters (old ice container), added about 2 liters of water so that the net pot is just touching the water at about 0.5 to 1 cm.
I prepared 3 liters, so I think I have enough for the rest of this week. Added to this 3 liters, 0.5 ml Root Stimulator, +/- 0.6 ml pH- and 0.8 grams Powder Feeding Hybrid, which brings you to an EC of 0.9 and pH of 5.4. The pH will rise a bit and should be around 5.7 to 5.8 by the end of the week. I will measure it again next week and adjust if necessary.
For now, I'm just watering over the clay pebbles until the roots are in the water, then I will lower the water level to about 0.5 to 1 cm below the net pot; when it goes into the big bucket, that will be about 2 cm.

The lady was eager and has made some nice roots in the small grow box and still drank about 750 ml of water.
The temperature has dropped a bit from 23.5 to 20 degrees by the end of the week (29-9), but that makes sense because the room where the tent is located is getting cooler and I’m not heating it yet; in the room where the tents and the bucket are, it’s a bit warmer because the lights are on during the day.
In my one tent, it’s still about 24 degrees with the lights on; that has dropped a bit too, but I can live with that. The light is at 100% there, so in my second tent, it won’t be much warmer than around 20 to 21 degrees at the start since the light is currently at 40%.
In the bucket, it’s also not going higher than 21 degrees at the moment, but there’s only a 48W light hanging in there.
28-9, today I prepared a bucket of water (10 liters) because tomorrow I’m going to transfer this lady to the 60 x 60 tent, and then I can measure the values tomorrow and adjust if necessary.
29-9, today was the day; the lady has been transferred to the tent. The light is hanging at 55 cm and is set to 40%, which gives a lux value of 9700, and that seems good to me in the beginning. I’ll keep the light at this height for now because the plant will grow towards it naturally, so the lux value will rise accordingly.
If the lady stretches too much, I’ll initially raise the wattage, which is also better for the temperature. Additionally, I topped her today; if she has any stress from the transfer, I think it’s better to do it just once.

The first week in the tent is behind us, EC is nice and stable but you can tell she wants a bit more nutrients, I started with an EC of 1.2 and by the end of the week it was 1.1 so we’re going to scale up a bit.
The pH fluctuated a bit but that’s probably also because she’s still drinking little and therefore doesn’t get water and nutrients every day, that will change soon when she starts asking for water every day, then it’ll be easier to adjust and it’s likely to be more stable anyway, until they go to 12/12 then it somehow gets trickier to keep it stable.
I do have an idea about why that is, I have another plant going and I’m giving it less nutrients and that seems to have a slightly positive effect on the pH, I need to investigate further if that’s the case by growing this one at a lower EC and only adjusting the EC when she really asks for it and scaling back when it starts to rise, we’ll see.
I also have a small air dehumidifier in there since this week, it’s not on yet because I’ll only turn it on when she’s in bloom.

This lady is doing well, the temperature could be a bit higher but the EC and pH are nice and stable, the pH might be a tad high but I value stability more, so I'm going to slowly raise the EC.
I'm giving this lady Powderfeeding hybrid, so I'm going to increase that a bit now.
This week I also removed some leaves and small shoots, I have the light set at 50% at 18000 lux, and I'll be increasing that a bit next week.
The light was hanging at 50 to 55 cm, I lowered it to 40 cm so I could get more lux without immediately increasing the wattage, the lady is now 20 cm tall.

Also removed some leaves this week, I thought I saw some flowering hairs this week but that shouldn't be possible since it's a photoperiod plant, I'll keep an eye on it anyway because it could also be a mistake, meaning I either labeled the seeds wrong or I got the wrong seeds.

On 24-10 I switched the light to 12/12, I had my doubts if this lady was indeed a photoperiod plant, but I think she is; otherwise, I should have seen more flowering by now.
Other than that, things are moving along, although not much in my opinion. So I hope that now that it's on 12/12, things will change; otherwise, I won't fill my scrog.
Also on 24-10, I set the light to 80%.
Last week I removed the scrog net for a bit, but I’ve put it back now.

This week I removed some leaves throughout the week and tied down some shoots. On the last day of this week, I removed quite a bit of foliage. The humidity is dropping and is now below 60%, so that's nice; now let's hope it stays that way and maybe drops a little further.
I set the light to 90% on the last day of this week; it will stay like this until week 4 or 5 of flowering, then the light will go to 100% for the last 3 to 4 weeks.

The temperature and RH are nice, the EC of 1.3 seems a bit low but she isn't asking for more, and it's very stable; the pH is also extremely stable, which I'm really happy about. I'm starting to figure out how the pH works; from what I see now, I think it has to do with the EC I'm giving. So basically, I want to say that if the EC is too high for what the plant is asking, your pH will fluctuate more. So this round, I've kept the EC a bit lower, just exactly what she asks for, and adjusting it each time results in a stable pH at this moment.
But we'll keep an eye on it, let's see if it stays like this when I start with bloom nutrients in about a week or so because then I'll replace the entire bucket. That's also the time when I struggle the most with the pH, so let's see if it goes better this way.
Additionally, I pruned some leaves throughout the week and secured some shoots when necessary. I don't think the rack will be completely full, but better a bit less full than overcrowded and then I run into a height problem.

The pH values were around 6.0 on most days, with one spike to 6.4.
From 19-11 to 21-11, no more water was added; on 22-11, I replaced the entire bucket with water and added the PK supplement right away since it was blooming nicely, and I always start with the PK addition at this time. It also gets a one-time Calmag boost since it's already in the nutrients, then it only gets 0.2 to 0.3 ml per liter to maintain it.
In the 10-liter bucket, I added the following: Silica power 1 ml, pH- 2 ml, Calmag 5 ml, Powderfeeding 5 grams, PK booster 2 grams, EC 1.6, pH 6.1. In the coming days, I will adjust that so that the EC is back to 1.4, and I will increase it again if it needs it.
Other than that, not much to do this week; I had 3 liters of water left, and it used that for the rest of the week with some adjustments to the EC and pH.

The EC is slightly rising, mainly because I had to add pH+ this week to keep the pH somewhat reasonable.
I'm not too happy about that because it affects the nutrients; you notice that as the EC goes up, the pH drops, so I'm really not thrilled about it.
In the worst case, I might replace the bucket once; it still has about 4 to 5 weeks to go, so it might still be worth it, but the last time I did that, I didn't enjoy it for very long, so I need to think this through. And I also don’t really want to replace the bucket every week, so I’ll keep an eye on it for now.

It's going pretty well, but I have a bit of a phosphorus (P) deficiency that I just can't seem to shake off. I've added some more PK, and since the EC was stable and is now slightly rising, no NPK nutrients.
I'm going to order some standalone additives to be able to administer just phosphorus next time, so if it happens again, I can catch it. I'm also buying some other additives like Magnesium, etc., for the same reason. Maybe it's not necessary, but at least I'll have it on hand just in case.
Other than that, things are moving along. I estimate another week or 2 to 3; it seems to be a bit faster than other strains, so I'm kind of expecting about 7 weeks of flowering. We'll see how it goes.

I measured 5.5 once for the pH, so I left that out of consideration; the rest of the week it was between 6.0 and 6.3.
Not much else to do with this lady, the problem I thought I had (P) might actually be something else, although I'm not sure; it could also be that the light is hanging too low, so I'm going to raise it a bit. Not that it matters much since I estimate this lady will be ready in about 1 to 2 weeks.
I also read that it could be related to a potassium deficiency, so yeah, it remains a tricky issue, but I'm afraid it's too late to solve that now, so something to keep in mind for the next round.
This week I didn't give any nutrients, just water, and I didn't lower the pH to keep it somewhat stable.

23-12, I removed a lot of dead leaves today, also raised the lamp higher, it was at 27 cm so way too low, it should be at least 40, stupid that I didn't check that earlier, so the problem I encountered could very well have been caused by too much light.
The lamp is now at 35 cm but I’m going to see if I can raise it a bit more, once the tent is empty again I’ll adjust the lamp a bit so it can go a little higher.
27-12, Got the lamp a bit higher at 37 cm, I feel like it’s going a bit better and that this was the issue, there hasn’t been much dead leaf growth, but just one more good week and then it’s probably over for this lady, so it’s coming as it comes, but I’ve learned a bit more.
This week also gave little to no nutrients, I think that will count for the rest of the grow since she’s only got about one week left, I estimate.
It's a nice little type to cultivate and I will also replant it once more, if only to see if it can be better, this crop was not disappointing but in my opinion it can be better.

2-1, Today I harvested the Think Fast, there was a bit of amber in it so I thought it was quite good, its successor is already in the starting blocks and will go into the bucket in about a week, I've already cleaned and disinfected the tent and the rest is also clean so ready for the start.
The wet yield of the buds is exactly 400 grams and the trimming waste is also 85 grams, all in all a decent score, I think I’ll be above 1 gram per watt again since I only used about 70 watts on average from the lamp, but I still need to calculate that.
3-1, Just calculated how many watts I’ve used on average from the lamp and that’s 80 watts, so a bit more than I thought, now just waiting for the buds to dry for the final result.
@BLAZED, I hope so too 😁 I'm pretty satisfied with the end result, but it can definitely be better, so I'm going to give it another shot with this strain. 👍
