Welcome to Growdiaries Grow 16.
This grow is going to be different from my previous ones. Some FastBuds fast flowering seeds have landed through my letter box, big thanks to Heather from @Fast_Buds your a star. I'm really looking forward to trying these out. If you want information on these fast flowering versions from fastbuds have a look in the breeder section on this site or visit there main website.
I haven't grown a photoperiod for quite a while so it will good to get back into it. I haven't decided on what I'm going to do training wise but I'm only going to run 3 strains this grow and try and fill my tent with the 3 plants.
If these grow as quickly as Fastbuds autoflowers do then i may not do a long Veg cycle, but I'll flip to 12/12 when I feel happy with how much space they take up.
During my last grow I got chatting to a grower called Theia (check out his diaries), and the dude told me how he managers to keep good conditions going in his grow room remotely. Very simple bit of kit that doesn't cost much, easily expandable, and can be controlled remotely.
I took the advice and bought the temperature/humidity sensor and the 8 WiFi plugs he recommended. I ran my previous grow for the last few weeks using this system and it made a massive difference from controlling devices with timers. Having to guess how long to run a humidifier or dehumidifier or radiator for is now gone thanks to this. These devices are now connected to an app called smart life and I can see them and set parameters anywhere in the world. The sensor will remotely trigger devices to turn on or off depending on the settings I use.

All above information is for me to remember what I did.
The 1st week has been OK. I have managed to keep the VPD in check throughout the week with the aim of keeping it between 0.4 and 0.8
I remembered the WiFi sensor doesn't constantly communicate with the app mid way through the week so managed to dial things in closer to the end of the week. How the sensor works is when the temp moves 0.5c from its last sent reading it then transmits the new reading or if RH moves 5% since last sent reading.
The DLI was a little on the low side for the week as 2 strains stretched and toppled over, should have had it set to 12Dli.
#1 Wedding Cheesecake FF has done great this week, she is on to her 2nd set of true leaves. Even though this one had slightly less light then the other strains she has not stretched and toppled like the others. She is where I would expect her to be at this stage in life and looking good.

Wedding cheesecake FF is the smallest out of the 3 strains but is pretty much were I'd expect her to be at this stage in life. No issues with this one and the leaves are looking superb. I'm expecting her to really take off during next week.

This week has been fairly productive, I decided to put a net over the grow to keep the canopy as level as possible. Had a slight accident on one plant. Conditions seem to be fine, I could do with increasing the VPD a bit more and I should have increased the light intensity the day I put the net on.
#1 Wedding Cheesecake FF is still the smallest out of the 3 strains but she is bushing up nicely and with the net controlling the others she should get plenty of light. I haven't really done much with this one apart from remove some lower leaves. Today is the last day of Veg and I'm flipping the light schedule to 12/12 tomorrow morning.

The 1st week of flower has flown by. I'm quite happy with how things have gone with the grow so far. The environmental system seems to be keeping conditions a lot closer then I could manage using guess work and timers, probably the best investment I have made for growing.
#1 Wedding cheesecake FF hasn't started stretching yet and has turned into a proper bush, I have had to remove a load of leaves throughout the week, a few every couple of days and then I removed a load of the lower nodes that aren't going to make it past the screen. She hasn't started showing pistils yet.

The 2nd week of flower has gone well. I have tried to keep the canopy of the overall grow as level as I can, the only problem with running different strains is they all have different traits and grow at different speeds. Nearer the end of the week the weather started getting cold again so the radiator is going to be working a bit more over the next week or 2.
#1 Wedding Cheesecake FF still hasn't started stretching so I'm thinking she is going to be a short and bushy. She is looking really healthy and I think she is spread out enough not to cause any problems with airflow.

That's the 3rd week of flower done, grow wise everything is ticking along nicely. The weather took a turn for the worse this week so the radiator has been working a lot. All 3 pants are showing pistils but 2 of them are still quite squat and bushy. I have been lifting the light to try and get the short ones to stretch a bit more.
#1 Wedding Cheesecake FF is really healthy and happy, she needs to stretch a bit more so the canopy is more level for the grow but other then that I'm really happy with this one.

Another week of flower gone. The grow has really stepped up a gear. Getting a mixed smell when I put my head in the tent, absolutely great smell.
#1 Wedding Cheesecake FF has stretched a bit during the week, started forming nice little flowers by the end of the week, I have had to do a fair amount of defoliation to this one as it was getting no air flow through at all.

This was my 1st photoperiod grow on growdiaries and I'm glad I tried these Fast flowering photoperiods for it. Big thanks to Heather and the Fastbuds team. The wedding cheesecake auto is one of my favourites strains and i have grown it a number of times but now having a photoperiod version is just great and to flower so fast is brilliant. Because this grow was going so good I decided to switch back to photoperiods for the next few grows i just wish i had left her in veg for 1 more week.
