I'm germinating in a rockwool starter cube that has been soaked in 6.0 pHd tap water for roughly 30 mins then lightly drained. Making sure not to squeeze the excess water out, potentially compacting the rockwool. I have an Inkbird heatmat under a Jiffy seedling tray I picked up on clearance. Paying extra attention to moisture levels of my cube since she's all alone and being warmed. Popped on 8/28 Only pHd water at this point

So basically what happened is she got tossed into the cloner seen in this video and remained there for about 5 weeks only receiving water for about 2 of those weeks waiting for some late flower monster clones to take root. Then I transitioned both into a light nutrient mix of FF Grow big and Big Bloom. She stayed in this cloner only receiving mild nutrients and a ppfd of around 250 because I underestimated the flowering time of the tent I had been waiting on. She recieved no attention whatsoever other than periodic nutrient changes. If you have noticed I am backlogging a little bit and working towards the present.

So I finally got around to rescuing this girl and transplanting in to an 8" net pot. I am using Arqlite Smart Gravel a newer media made from 100% recycled plastic bottle caps. It claims to be Inert making it pH stable, dust free, ready to use out of the bag, algae resistant, more lightweight and as good if not better than Leca. Since I am backlogged still I can tell you that it holds up to its claims. Although when working with seedlings I have found that feed times for drippers have to be increased because it's moisture retention level is not on par with Leca. In Arqlites defense I was using the larger gravel as apposed to smaller pebbles they sell. Which would help with moisture retention. I worked carefully to weave her roots through the bottom of the net pot without touching them. After the long term isolation in the cloner I had about 14" of roots (fishbone) to work with and got about root 5 tips hanging roughly an inch or so below the netpot. Then as gently as possible I added the Arqlite Smart Gravel (presoaked in 6.0 pHd nutrients) to the netpot making sure not to damage the roots as much as possible. The tote is a 27 gallon fitted with three 6" disc airstones and holds 10 gallons of nutrients comfortably with an 8" pot. I hand fed her the rest of this week simply taking a cup and dipping into the reservoir and pouring through until her roots made it to the nutrients.

This week I started her LST and bent her top over as far as possible without snapping and locked her in place. I use soft wire "Gear Ties" sold in the hardware section of most places. I got mine at Home Depot. I highly recommend these for anyone serious about Lst. I kept her in this position for about 4 days before adjusting placement and pulling the main top back down below the lower branches. I have been maintaining the same feeding schedule "week 4 hydro" 3/4 str main nutrients, 1/2 str Open Seasame. She started showing preflowers on me even though it's been in an 18/6 light cycle. So that's why OS and week 4 feeding was opted. Even though the plant was technically 2 months old, she's only been fed and treated right for 2 weeks now. So week 7 from seed, I started at the week 3 schedule.

Same feeding schedule. Ph is remaining solid at 6.0. Redirected growth from lower branches to grow opposite the main cola and locked everything down at the same level.

Not much has changed other than size. I have her locked down in a ring to direct even growth. She will stay in the pattern for another week or so before I'll release the branches and move her to the 4x4 flowering tent. I'd like to note that I have also removed the first 2 nodes on every branch on the entire plant. And cleaned up all growth for the first 5 nodes from the main stalk. As well as any branch that is facing down.

Today she moved into the 4x4 AC Infinity getting prepped to be flipped to 12/12 on New Years Eve. It's right around this point I started considering scrog because the growth is entirely overwhelming for LST after this. I'm running an S44 Ionboard from AC Infinity at 18" off the canopy at 70%. 850 avg ppfd. 55% rh. My EC is 2 and pH 6. She is drinking roughly 1.5 gallons a day at this point and my EC and pH have held steady. I don't top up with water. I just match ratios and top off daily until about a week before I plan on changing up mixes, then I top off with water until the change.

Attempting the Scrog technique for the first time. Not very impressed with the net that came with the tent. It's too elastic and the holes are too large to manipulate smaller shoots.

Wasn't satisfied with the net that came packed with the ACI 4x4 so I modified it with some string and zip ties. I find this works great because I have 2"x2" holes now that are partial elastic making weaving the tops much more forgiving on both me and her. I'm very happy with the direction this grow is heading. Along with the massive undertaking of redirecting all this growth. Roughly 8 hours off and on to redirect, defoliate and remove branches. She had a nutrient change and I moved on to week 5 of the FF Hydro schedule. I added about 1/2 tsp of Fox Farm Sledgehammer to the nutrients in my reservoir and let it sit for about 30 minutes. Then pumped out the solution and flushed with roughly 20 gallons of fresh cold 6.0 pH tap water. Then added the new solution with Tiger Bloom.

Day 27 of 12/12 Day 16 Flower Ppfd 950-1050. S44-Ionboard Ppfd 650. S11-Ionboard lightbars EC 2.0 PH 6.0 I finally caught this diary up to the current date. I apologize for my previous entries that were all done last night and kind of vague and all over the place. Today I'm doing a mild defoliation to open up the canopy and get some life pumped into these lower bud sites. She's still stretching some which I'm all for at this point although I have a few colas reaching for the sky that need dialed back a little. I'll most likely just LST them to the net if I can find spots to pull from. Defoliation is a nightmare currently. I need some kind of mission impossible harness to hang above the canopy and save my lower back lol. I ordered and installed the s11 Ionbeam led bars from AC Infinity. I currently have them in my lower canopy just below my scrog net to help her along a bit. The first night I installed them they didn't sync up with my controller 69 and she had a night light for 12 hours. Pisses me off because I should have peeked in to make sure it shut off with the main board. So later on today I'll play around with the setting between the 2 controllers and get this UIS set right. This is a prime example of jumping the gun and letting the excitement of new gear get me doing shit hastily. These bars are weak and have to be placed within inches of the canopy and then will only cover a small area efficiently. I will most likely remove em from the lower canopy and suspend them over the colas on the edges. Not sure what I was expecting from 11" light bars. Maybe I'll add them to my seedling/clone racks.

Been awhile since I posted here just because the activity on this site kind of sucks. There is no real interaction making it worth my while to come here. I love the setup here and ease of use otherwise but the community is kind of lame and lacks community support. This is day 66 flower she's starting to wrap up and will come down in a week or so.

Everything about this strain is excellent. Explosive lateral branching and vigorous growth makes this strain live up to its name. She was daunting to keep up with defoliation at times. Her smell is pure diesel and tastes of diesel and skunk. Smokes great, comes on smooth then busts your lungs.
the end.
