Hi fellow growers!
This grow will be 2 daiquiri lime's from dutch passion grown in plagron promix mixed with some batmix that I had from previous grows.
I'm going to use the advanced nutrients this time, I decided to test it after viewing the nice results here in other diaries. 😊
Both ladies came above soil today so let's see what this gives!
Update day 7 :
The humidity is on the low side for the little ladies. Is there a DIY way to get this up ?
So far everything is going good. The one on the left is a little smaler than the other one. I'm curious how this will evolve, up to week 2 😬
Currently we are halfway week 2 and they got a first feeding yesterday. I got a little heat stress on the little one because the fan inside was not on full speed, this is now under control again so she will recover just fine 😊 The big sister has some light yellow spots on the edge of 1-2 leafs. Should I worry about this ? Can someone tell me what this is ?
The temperature is finally under control and they seem to recover from the heat stress. I boosted up the nutrient a little this week so let's see what this gives.
Started with the lst aswell this week 😊
The little one has become the big one, she grew very nice this week. The big sister has a nutrient burn so I flushed her today. I hope that she will recover just fine and catch up with the other one 💪
The right one seems to recover from the nutrient burn. Gave her only one feeding this week and just some plain water the rest of the time. The left one is taking of like crazy and puts the right one in the shadow 😊 Left one : 65 cm. Right one : 49,5 cm.
Both girls are starting to show the white pistils. Bring on those buds !! 💪
I gave them regular water this week to flush out the grow nutrients and the last day some bloom nutrients. The pistils are starting to show so I'm really excited to see those buds !! 😀 Both ladies where getting really bushy so I defoliated them and I hope this will improve the yield.
Everything is going great in the garden. Flowering has started now and you see al the little bud sites. I'm really curious to see how this turnes out 😊 The left one is 93cm and right one 73 cm so I put her on a shoebox to get them at the same height more or less.
It got pretty hot this week outside so the temperature climbed up to 31-32 degree celsius inside the tent, I managed to keep it 1 or 2 degrees lower by putting some bottles with frozen water before the intake. The buds are starting the swell 💪 The left one has more trichomes than the right one so I'm hoping that she's just a little behind and that she will catch up 😊
Right one : 78 cm
I noticed that the top leafs of the left one are much lighter then the right one. I'm thinking this is light stress. What do you think ?
I moved the lamp 2 cm up since that's the maximum it can go. The next step is to bend the branches if it doesn't get better :)
Buds keep getting bigger and bigger 💪 one branch needs help standing up because of the weight of the buds, if i wouldn't tie it up with another branch it would fall over.For the rest nothing much has changed, i think i'll start flushing next week.
The buds are getting fatter and fatter, I need to support the branches or they are falling over. But you won't hear me complain about that thing 😎
The trichomes are starting to look cloudy to me. Feel free to leave your comments about the trichome pictures. 😊 For me that's what one the hardest parts about growing.
Started flushing this week. I will monitor the trichomes during this week and I'm thinking to chop them end of this week or end of next week.
Nothing much this week, buds are getting fatter and she getting to the end I think. For me most of the trichomes are cloudy so I'm thinking to chop them this weekend.
This was a nice strain to grow without any big issues. One of them got some nutes burn but that''s my own fault :-) I''m really happy with the results. I hope the smoke is as good as the yield :D I''ll update with a smoke report later on. I jared them yesterday so I will test in a week or 2.2391
Looking at your trichomes, you still got plenty of clear trichomes (picture 4 of 13). Your buds looks good and ready for flush. Now it depends on what kind of medicine you're looking for, High or Stoned ?
The hardest part is to finish your flush at the same time than your trichomes preference. The most important part is to finish your flush before chopping her down, to avoid smoking nutrients, to get a nice and smooth smoke.
In soil media , you might need 1-2 weeks of flushing depending on how many nootz you used during bloom cycle.
@Bstoner,you might need a few more weeks then , wait for trichomes to turn amber and let the THC degrade into CBN . 2 weeks flush before harvesting shall be plenty enough.
@JUNGLE_B4RNS,
Indeed I'm looking for a more stoned effect. I need all the trichomes cloudy and a couple of amber to have that effect.
I checked the trichomes on a lot of spots ( top buds, lower buds) and I think the lower ones still have some clear trichomes.
Let's hope she is ready in 2 weeks and otherwise I leave them another extra week, I guess that flushing 3 weeks won't do them wrong ?
@Mr_Matics,thanks, i think i'm gonna tie my side branches to the thicker ones so i'm sure they won't break down, they're really leaning to much outwards, it's getting real sketchy
Looks decent bro! im building my grow space with a week of as we speak :P first time & ill be doing the exact same seed :D advice is always welcome! ill be running it with a 300w mars hydro 👽
What kind of lens did you use to image the trichomes? Thanks to you and @JUNGLE_B4RNS for the discussion of flushing and trichome color, as it's useful for me!
@TheFairyBudMother,
It's a cheap hand microscope from ali express 😀 There is a piece to attach it to your mobile phone but it's not easy to take pictures with it but good enough to check the trichomes.
@BreakingBud,
Thanks man! They start to smell a little fruity when I open the jars, It's a mix between lemon and the smell of fresh hay but the last one is disappearing :)
@Mr_Matics,thanks ! I guess i'll be chopping her down in about a week or 2, can't really tell yet as i'm gonna see how the trichomes develop. I'm gonna try to chop her down when about 90% of the trichomes are cloudy.
I don't know why you're on my diary asking for advice, you have a tent of skyscraper looking buds over here!! What a beautiful sight, you must be feeling good about this 😃
@Book_of_Thoth,hehe thanks dude ! Let's say i'm slowly climbing out of the noob brackets here. Growing became a hobby since i started with it, really fascinated by it aswell, thus i try to learn as much as possible !
@Bstoner,
Neat dude! I just love growing new strains every grow so I can smell the differences. About a year or so into this hobby and it still amazes me how different they can smell.
@Grimbol, I'm curious if you really taste the lemon. You can smell it already which is nice to be stealthy because it's not the typical weed smell :D Thanks! I'll update with a smoke report later on!
