Hindu Kush a parent strain of numerous hybrids since its release. Hailed as the cradle of indica varieties, it has a range of characteristics. Hindu Kush Feminized plants have compact stature, a short flowering time and a good resistance to less than perfect growing conditions.

1 week to the Day; seed in soil. Off to a get start…still watering with a spray bottle multiple times during the day. Will wait a couple of weeks before repotting. Contemplating 24hr lights, but will investigate. Growing 4 different plants, each have their own diaries but group picture for the record books!

I have 4 seeds that I started at the same time, so they are the 1st class of 2023! Nice root system, added some Rooting Powder to my Ocean Forest soil to prep the new home. I have the lights at 25% on 24hr light cycle. Good start for this lil girl! Gave a good watering, added nutrients 🌱🌱🌱
She’s the top of her class for sure! This Youngin’ has been in this pot for a week, had no problems and I can see she’s grown. I think the Cleaner Kelp and new digs are accepted! Changed to a 18:6 light cycle, added an ExHale bag to the tent…. Progress 🌱
Hindu is still the leader of the pack! I see no signs of stress, growth continues. As I look through other diaries it looks like my girl doesn’t grow as fast as the others. I don’t really ‘feed’ as I should, so I’m looking to improve on providing nutrients. Will add Thrive to the water. 🌱
I agree with growstick, give the girl a week or two in-between toppings and flipping from the topping, can confirm it will give you issues if you top then flip without giving it time to stretch/recover. Hope this helps!
I topped her Tuesday, transplanted Wednesday and she’s already rebounding! I forgot to put the Rooting powder in the soil, so I made a mixture with water and provided it that way. I’ve put the lights down to 75% and gave her some Fish Fertilizer. She’s responding well, her fan leaves really took off. Roots looked good when transplanting, still feeling good about her! Good times! 🌱
Sooooo, topping was a little hard for me, just not good at clipping plants for fear of damaging them. However, the LST clips and maneuvering the stems had me sweating a bit!
After topping and LST it seems this one flourished. I have 4 seeds that I started at the same time, this one has been a good and consistent grow in comparison…. I think she’s about ready to flip but I’m trying to hold off just a bit so a couple of seed mates can flip too. Worm castings and cleaner kelp for nourishment; she’s definitely drinking more!
This Hindu Kush has been a good grow experience. It’s been hard to just sit back and let her grow - inspecting, measuring and watering. I decided to just give her a good soil drench. I trimmed her up a bit, my goal was to remove the largest fan leaves, but keep a good deal of foliage; pleased with the outcome. I plan to flip her and 2 others soon. Want to give it a rest…. I have a net, but I’m a bit anxious about installing it. Will watch videos and do some more reading on it. All and all, great week! 🌱
My Hindu do do! Great growth week over week, she handled the light flip like a champ, added ~2 inches to her height! I’m really happy I invested in the AC Infinity auto watering trays. Without them, I’m sure I’d stress it by under watering it.
Ok… this little lady has been hard to thin out/defoliate, she still seems bushy but she’s responded to everything well. LST and this net install and shes still powering through. She’s stretched through the net well; I don’t like the net, won’t try it my next grow. All and all, I believe I have buds forming! I’m still working on watering, pretty sure I’m underwaterng… fearful of root rot. 😏

I have a lot of little bud sprouts, also looks like I may have a little nutrient/light burn. Lights are at 75% and I’m only giving her water; no nutes.
Well, the buds are growing, but the leaves look curled and a bit stunted. I’m going to skip watering and remove just a few of the skinny leaves that are just in the way. Looks like her stretch is over.. I dunno, I think patience is needed. The lights are at 75% power. Just gonna let her do her thing….and cross my fingers
Welp, the curled leaves are still curled and the bud is still growing. Lights are at 75%, she responded well to that. Still just providing water, no nutes… being calm with her still
The leaves aren’t curling anymore but the didn’t straighten out either! However, my little buds are starting to grow. The stretch is complete, the smells coming out of the tent are incredible! I gave her a few weeks of water only, but today I gave her fish fertilizer… we’re still a grow! 🌱🤭

Don't be afraid to top plants, you are going to damage it. That's the intention, I just take the full bit off, some people will wait for the stigma to come through to split the main stem into two, i prefer just taking the top off fully, when the one branch is split into 2 you need to then top the side branches also, I'd just take the full top off and all the side branches will explode upwards.
