2/1 - dropped seeds in a glass of water to soak
2/2 - seeds dropped to bottom of cup, moved to paper towel
2/3 - transplanted into solo cups, labeled each by how much progress they made during germination, 1 has the longest taproot by far, 2 and 3 just barely showing a root, and 4 has cracked open with no root showing yet. Will be interesting to see if they continue to develop at a relative pace, or if the others will catch up.
2/5 - all 4 have surfaced. Looks like #3 has taken the lead, followed by 1, 2, then 4
2/6 - #2 finally shook the seed casing and looks to have fallen behind #4
2/7 - #2 has a root coming out the bottom of the cup, will pot up for tomorrow
2/8 - potted up from Solo cup to 2 gallon pots, gave each a quart of pH adjusted water, to 6.5
2/9 - starting to get second set of leaves, #1 and 3 looking strong, #4 not far behind, and #2 looking a bit stunted but otherwise still good
2/11 - #1 is leading, followed closely by #3, then #4, and #2 as the smallest
2/12 - gave each plant about a quart of water with nutrients, water pH adjusted to 6.5 after mixing in the nutrients but before mixing in the Recharge
2/14 - really crazy how much these have grown in one week.
2/15 - pinned down the larger leaves
2/16 - #1 is the biggest, followed by 3, 4, then 2. Interesting to see that 1 and 3 both have 3 points on the second set while 2 and 4 have 5 points. Wonder if it's genetic or that they were smaller at first feeding...
2/17 - fed and watered, gave each about a half gallon mixed as stated above and pH adjusted to 6.5
2/19 - #1 continues to lead the pack, followed by 3, 4, and 2. With such rapid growth from the first 3, I'm guessing #2 is the only female.
2/21 - raised the lights about an inch
2/22 - they grew an inch over night after raising the light an inch 😆, pots still feel heavy with water
2/23 - #2 is feeling lighter than the rest and will need to be watered soon. The rest feel heavier. I'd like to water them all at the same time.
2/24 - fed and watered, each got about a half gallon and drank it all
2/25 - raised the lights a couple inches, topped all above 6th node, removed 4-6 large fan leaves from each
2/26 - it may be too soon and this is my first attempt at this... took a cutting off the bottom of each plant, dipped in Foop rooting solution, and placed under 400 ppfd light, scheduled 10/14, to determine sex of the main plants
2/28 - starting to feel light, will water soon, will also remove large leaves at same time
3/1 - fed and watered, gave each a half gallon, also took off 2 big finger leaves from each plant, clones look mostly happy except for #4's, no signs of flower/sex yet
3/2 - still no sign of sex in the clones, #3 was looking sad this morning, reset the cuttings lower to be in the water and they all perked back up
3/5 - fed and watered , gave each about a half gallon. Also swapped positions of 2 and 4 in the tent, seemed 2 dried out faster and 4 stayed wet longer. Removed remaining large fan leaves. Added bloom to the water the clones are sitting in and lowered their light to increase ppfd to around 600, hoping to see signs of sex soon.
3/8 - #1 showing some pistils, no other signs on any of the plants, #4 has a cool variegated leaf, no signs of sex on the clones either 😆
3/9 - fed and watered, gave each about a half gallon. So far, it seems #1 continues to lead, followed closely by #3. We may know #3's sex this week. Then #4 and #2, with no signs of sex at all yet.
3/11 - looking like #2 is also a female, not seeing anything on #3 and 4 yet. Took off all side growth of the main branches below where each plant was topped, hoping to put the energy into the upper bud sites when the time comes. Fed and watered, gave each a half gallon.
3/14 - took some large fan leaves off the top to improve airflow since humidity is getting difficult to control. Fed and watered, gave each about a half gallon. #2 has taken the lead, followed by #3, then #1 and #4.
3/16 - #1 (back right) and 2 (back left) both showing female, still no signs from #3 (front left) and 4 (front right). #2 and 3 are about the same size, with #1 being smaller and #4 the smallest.
3/17 - #2 and 3 felt light, gave each half a gallon of pH adjusted water. #1 and 4 felt heavy. Raised the lights a couple inches.
3/19 - fed and watered, gave each half a gallon
3/21 - defoliated quite a but, fed and watered, gave each about a half gallon, giving them a week to recover before flipping the light
3/23 - pulled the scrog net down and manipulated the canopy. Hopefully all are female, still waiting on #3 and 4 to show. If size and shape of the plants are any indication, both will be female.
3/26 - watered #2, 3, and 4, gave each a half gallon of pH adjusted water. #1 feeling a bit heavy and still moist.
3/29 - plants woke up to their new schedule and will go to bed 12 hours later, let the flowering begin! Still unsure about #3 and 4, looking forward to finding out their gender. Fed and watered, gave each a half gallon.
3/30 - the plants responded well to the feeding, popping up a couple inches over night, or so it seems. Raised the lights 2 inches to accommodate.
4/1 - raised the light as high as it goes
4/2 - watered and fed, gave each a half gallon
4/3 - #3 and 4 are male, leaving 2 ladies
4/5 - fed and watered, gave each a half gallon
4/6 - defoliated and watered with Recharge, half gallon each, set the scrig net at 24 inches from the floor
4/7 - they don't look sad about the defol.
4/8 - despite the heavy defol, the ladies are pushing forth, seeing more pistils today
4/11 - watered and fed
4/12 - topped off the pots with more soil
4/14 - #1 is really stretching and has some leaf curl, holding back on water at the moment and will flush with the next watering
4/15 - definitely dry, gave them some pH adjusted water, half gallon each. Also decided to remove the scrog net and give them a half turn and pushed back a bit so they don't shade out the bonsai.
4/20 - dis some light defoliating and then watered and fed, gave each about a half gallon
4/23 - defoliated, removed a lot of leaves, then watered and fed to reduce shock, gave each a half gallon
4/24 - so #1 is the taller skinny one on the right, she smells nice. #2 is the bushier one on the left, but has practically no smell when I run my hand through her.
5/5 - fed and watered, gave each about a half gallon. I'm loving the color changes on #2. Both are getting frosty. Also, I removed some of the curled leaves from #1.
5/6 - removed some leaves, mainly lower leaves that weren't frosting over and a few upper leaves blocking light to the lower buds. #1 smells nice and #2 doesn't seem to smell at all, even when brushing against the leaves and getting sticky hands...
5/8 - watered and fed, gave about a half gallon to each
5/11 - fed and watered, gave each a bit more than a half gallon of water with nutes. I'm loving the color fade on #2, and she smells like Fruit Loops. #1 is super frosty and smells more like cat piss, but in a good way.
5/17 - fed and watered, gave each about a half gallon of pH adjusted water with nutes.
5/22 - starting to flush, gave each a half gallon of pH adjusted water, no nutes
5/25 - continuing to flush, gave each a half gallon of pH adjusted water
5/29 - gave each a half gallon of pH adjusted water, seeing some amber trichomes.
5/31 - I'm liking what I'm seeing. I think these ladies are about done. Today marks 63 days of flowering. The recommendation on the pack is 63-70, so these are right on.
She was a stretchy one and could certainly take more training. Strong scented, could smell outside the house with the doors and windows closed when I left the tent open, but easily cleared up with the carbon filter. Pheno 1 smelled stronger and was like cat piss. Pheno 2 smelled more like Fruit Loops. Both were greasy to the touch, as opposed to sticky. I started 4 seeds and got 50/50 male/female. These were probably stunted, but I don't have the room for anything taller. These would probably do really well outside. They seemed to really like strong light.
Overall, an easy to grow strain that can really take some abuse. Training and defoliating didn't seem to slow her down. They grew fast during veg and stretched a lot during flower. They pulled out my training stakes and grew threw the scrog net. Despite their height and being top heavy, they didn't fall over.
