A really lovely smoke. Taste starts off slightly earthy and finishes with the cherry flavour I associate with Wedding Cake, along with some sourness . It burns clean and slow, even at this early stage. After my first sample, I was doing some dishes and my mind was just wandering. Suddenly, I had this aha moment where I thought, "Dang. I'm high." Not recommended for tasks where focus is required. Fantastic stuff 💨

Harvested the Gorilla Cake after about 95 days from dropping the seed. This was by far one of my easiest grows from beginning to end. Germinated the seed directly in a pete plug and transferred her directly to her final destination, a 3 gallon fabric pot. The Ocean Forest soil made life dead easy for the first several weeks as I only had to provide her with regular waterings. I started feeding her REMO nutes once a week 2 weeks into her flower cycle and followed a 'water-water-feed' schedule to the end. No issues at all with this grow - other than me splitting the stem while performing some careless LST, but she recovered like a champ. Buds were well formed and consistent throughout the plant with no larf to speak of; greatly due to the fact she was spread wide open and light was accessible throughout the plant. Very happy with this grow and how this strain performed
Smoke review
Followed my usual harvest routine... hung her to dry in the darkened tent for 7 days along with a mister to maintain humidity levels at about 62%. Temp in the tent was around 66 degrees throughout. Part of this exercise was to see what I could do in my small tent with a 3-gallon pot and some dirt as I wanted to keep things on the smaller side. Very pleased with the results. It was an effortless 87.5 grams and by far the easiest plant I've ever had to trim - no extra baggage on these buds. That's a wrap on this grow. Thanks for tuning in ✌️

So you give this one nutrients once a week? You feed, water, water, feed?

@Oozle, Yup. I started feeding once a week around 2nd week of flower. Leaf tips were looking a bit burnt at one point so I skipped a week of feed and then resumed. I was wondering if I should be feeding more frequently, but she doesn't seem to be suffering any deficiencies so I'm staying the course.

Cute cat. My cat likes to eat the fan leaves whenever she can. On the plant or not haha.

@StunFlower, Lucky you. Mine waits for me to leave the door open and sneaks in. Then heads right to the fan leaf/trim bucket.

@Oozle, Twigs is a sweetie. Fortunately, she's not so much interested in the plants but loves to go into the tent.

Plant looks great. Nice Turgor. Looks really happy. Going from DWC to soil is like 💤💤 sometimes, but I like the break. I think I'm keeping 1 of my tents soil because it breaks up the amount of work I have to do.

@StunFlower, That's a really cool story. I never seen a grafted plant in person. Sealing up the wound is good, less change for molds.

@Oozle, My grandmother used to graft the branches from other fruit trees onto the apple tree in her back yard - she would use wax to help seal up her joins. I figured I would pay homage to her technique and give it a shot. Not that I think it strengthened anything in this case but it did seal up the wound. I always thought it was wild that she had plums and apples growing on the same tree. I did a little bit of research and found that it's also feasible to do it with cannabis - it doesn't seem very practical though 😄
