Plants transforming from seedling to vegetation stage. They started to look hungry and light colored mid week so i gave them a spray with mealworm guano and blackstrap molasses(1.3.). Two days later i took off the germination- and the first set of leaves on every plant because the started to turn yellow and i would have take them off anyway later on. i guess like i previous did that my plants got exposed to too much light, causing the first set's of leaves to be lightly burned. also most of the stems are deep purple up to the first node, showing now some cracks with fresh green caused by growth and swelling(check picture). now moved up my light to the maximum distance of 45cm to see what the effects will be. as mentioned this is the first time for me to start my plants under a led light additional to natural sunlight throughout the window. in the past i had the trouble that they stretched too much with only natural light this early in the season, now it's almost the opposite. i guess the further they grow the more they will be comfortable under the 100w led light but next time i have to be more sensitive when it comes to light in the early stages. sprayed them twice this week with EM- Pflanzenfit to support beneficial bacteria on the plant tissue. also gave them the first time EM- mikrodünger(NK fertilizer that supports and feeds microbes) as the first real feeding after 21 days. this week i also harvested 2kg of high quality homemade worm castings, will use them to transplant the plants into 9l air pots next week. will transplant every plant to a richer soil mix even if some off them are still small and a little behind and see if they can catch up.

Grow Questions

How big are the chances to bounce the plants back to veg after preflowers by the end of april and 14h of day length? Mostly cloudy weather, warm day temperatures (30c) and cooler nights (8c)in the old greenhouse simulated probably to much end of summer vibes.

What Creepy_Steve says. Btw, you can clean it more effectively with hydrogen peroxide than with baking soda and lemon. However, it's important to note that even after bud washing, it won't be 100% successful, and there might be a strange taste due to the remaining proteins inside the bud

I like what you’re doing with the mainlining. I’m running a mainline vs prune experiment to see which actually produces better quality/quantity.

@Todzilla, thanks. i never done it before and there is a lot to improve for the future, but the preflowering din't help for sure. exited to see how the buds will turn out and at the end. i mainly decided to use this technique to grow more even plants and for the ones direct on the house wall to be very space efficient.

@Shooey, give thanks. Same here, only pure cbd plants are allowed to grow. I only wanted half of the plants but they started to flower and as i never experienced this before i started some for back up as well. Now it is overall way too much and it makes me nervous sometimes i have to say. But on the other hand i am super happy and if it would be legally i would grow even bigger. Maybe one day in our area as well🤞🏽

Gran trabajo, me gusta tu sistema de protección para granizo, prevención como base 🤞 Excelente cuidado a tus chicas y ellas lo demuestran 👌🎩 Esos rayos son una verdadera locura
Humble_Lion
Humble_Lion
@MiyaguiOkPolilla, Give thanks. Hail protection became necessary over the last couple of years because the storms include it more and more often in our area. This is why i usually like to keep my plants to a size where i still can protect them. The three ones in the garden bed will have outgrown the protection cage pretty soon and will only use it as a trellis cage from then on.

Looking great! I need to try these airpots, heard good stuff about them
Humble_Lion
Humble_Lion
@mcflow, thanks! they do well and i like how they provide better rooting and provide easy handling for transplanting. i grow tomatoes in summer in the 9l pots and experience great results with them as well. the downside is that they need more water this way because it tends to run out while watering sometimes quick out of the side holes and the soil drys out quicker in hot conditions like my greenhouse in the summer where i grow my tomatoes. exited to try out now the root pouches and see how they work.

BT is for caterpillars. Spray in evening to give it time to work before sunlight photodegrades it. It’s a non-toxic soil bacteria used on vegetables in organic farming. Nice garden. 👍
Humble_Lion
Humble_Lion
@Northern_Ent, thanks for the advice. sounds interesting, will see how i can get this over here in the alps. cheers
Northern_Ent
Northern_Ent
@Humble_Lion, bacillus Thuringia (top of my head) but BT is the main organic farming pest control. It’s a soil bacteria discovered in Japan that kills young caterpillars by forming crystals in their gut. Can buy BT here in Canada at regular retail places like Canadian Tire that sells Safers BTK. It’s non-toxic and photodegrades so I have no worries about using. Once or twice a season at the right time is all it seems to need. Spray stems and fan leaves and avoid the buds (but even on the buds it would be fine). Cheers.

Humble_Lion
@Northern_Ent, appreciate the advice, thanks. what BT stands for? sounds interesting! but i have to say i really try to avoid any kind of spraying on the buds this late in flowering. took the sherbet down this morning. pictures and comment on that matter will follow in the next update soon.

Awesome outdoor grow humble Well done mate the whole backyard looks outstanding I especially love those setups, are they homemade?
Humble_Lion
Humble_Lion
@Shooey, give thanks, yes they are. i used spare wood from my work place. the structures turned out pretty good and i think i will use them this way for the upcoming season as well in my pots, but this time i hope to fill and outgrow those wire cages without preflowering plants. the ones out in the garden i built in a hurry before a big storm to protect the plants from hail. never thought that the plants will explode that much and outgrow them by this far, so i started to use them as a trellis structure as well.

Hi, it's beautiful and healthy garden! Plants seem to be happy:) what are the names of plants around used to cover crop? I mean there are clover, and ... :)?
Humble_Lion
Humble_Lion
@OG_Mane give thanks, different types of clover(white, red and yellow), broad beans and i planted some marigold and basil. the clover was very dominant and took over. the beans i copped and dropped for mulch as soon as they got to big

sorry for the missing updates in my diary! i am super busy with work and the harvest in the garden. in addition i can't add more weeks to my diary, only harvest reports. i will cover the last weeks of the grow in my last week of flowering entry. check there for more grow pics... in time i will add the harvest reports with more pictures as well.
