Humble_Lion First week done. Most of the seedlings start developing the second pair of leaves. One Jack and Sherbert plant are a little behind because they popped last. Introduced some Trichoderma fungi to the soil to promote root development. Earlier in the week i amended some soil from last year to have it ready in about one month when i think i can start transplanting to bigger pots. Already put it in the containers and moistened it with Wormbin- and Bokashibin runoff. For the first time i use a light in addition to the natural sunlight to start the seedlings, using one Horizon x1 100w LED light. Not so sure about the hight of the light and trying to figure out the sweet spot here. I had it down to 15cm but got the impression that the young seedlings got a bit too much stress like that. I think the light at 19cm is still potent enough at this stage of the grow and the plants get quite some natural sunlight at the moment because the weather was bluebird all week long. Thinking about to reduce the high after they developed the first complete leaves from the third node on. Soilmix 100l: 50l Old soil 10l Rock dust (Biolit) 5l Biocar (EM Kohle) 15l Wormcastings 10l Perlite 10l Homemade Bokashi 1l Alfalfa 0.2l Mealworm castings 0.4l Kelp 0.001l EM Super Cera C Powder

Humble_Lion Plants transforming from seedling to vegetation stage. They started to look hungry and light colored mid week so i gave them a spray with mealworm guano and blackstrap molasses(1.3.). Two days later i took off the germination- and the first set of leaves on every plant because the started to turn yellow and i would have take them off anyway later on. i guess like i previous did that my plants got exposed to too much light, causing the first set's of leaves to be lightly burned. also most of the stems are deep purple up to the first node, showing now some cracks with fresh green caused by growth and swelling(check picture). now moved up my light to the maximum distance of 45cm to see what the effects will be. as mentioned this is the first time for me to start my plants under a led light additional to natural sunlight throughout the window. in the past i had the trouble that they stretched too much with only natural light this early in the season, now it's almost the opposite. i guess the further they grow the more they will be comfortable under the 100w led light but next time i have to be more sensitive when it comes to light in the early stages. sprayed them twice this week with EM- Pflanzenfit to support beneficial bacteria on the plant tissue. also gave them the first time EM- mikrodünger(NK fertilizer that supports and feeds microbes) as the first real feeding after 21 days. this week i also harvested 2kg of high quality homemade worm castings, will use them to transplant the plants into 9l air pots next week. will transplant every plant to a richer soil mix even if some off them are still small and a little behind and see if they can catch up.

Humble_Lion Busy week at humble garden. Raised the lights up to 40cm and finally found the sweet spot. Plants still get almost too much light on a sunny day, but as the days pass the sun gets higher and the plants less direct light. The first nutrient supply from last saturday burned some of the plants slightly. The Mimosa Evo reacted in general and one Jack Herer as well a little. The other seamed happy with it. Mid week i transplanted ten plants from 1l to 9l super root pots, and four into 3.4l root pouch bags. Using Mykorrhiza spores and a bit of homemade worm castings. I am amazed how the root system has developed in the first 25 days(see pictures from transplanting). The beneficial bacteria and mushrooms really helped the roots developed. Never had such good rooting in the past. Also the bokashi in the soilmix does a great job and the plants love it. Crazy how well the soil was holding together when i opened the super root pots given it was a bit dry, this is due to roots and hyphae. I noted this in general since i use bokashi in my soilmix across the garden. I also was exited how well they took the transplanting, no drooping at all after it. Watered them in with em-bodenfit and trichoderma and gave them a foliar spray with em-pflanzenfit. The next day i mixed the soil to fill up the final 113l root pouch bags: 50l special claysoil blend 15l worm castings 10l nitrogen rich homemade bokashi from lawn clippings 10l expanded clay and perlite 10l rockdust 10l biochar 1l bat guano 1.2l alfalfa 0.4l meal worm guano 0.4l lime 0.4l kelp 15g super cera c powder Filled 3/4 of the coasters with expanded clay and drilled in some holes to create a overflow waterline within. Put the root pouch bags on top and filled in around 15l expanded clay on the ground, this way i hope to create a good drainage to the pouches as well as a reservoir for runoff. Filled up the pouches and put in a clay pot to hold some space free already for the plants. Filled the clay pots with future mulch material(bokashi, worm bin bedding, horsetail, alfalfa straw) and added some compost worms. Made a small ditch along the edge of the root pouch bag to guide future watering towards the edges of the bag and filled in the ditch with wood wool and carbon rich soil. Seeded in a cover crop mix of different clover strains along the outer rim and covered it up loose with some wood wool and alfalfa straw. The goal is to use this bags for years in a no till way and creating a living soil. The outer ring of the bag will provide a permanent cover crop with beneficial plants. The centerpiece will provide mulch and act as food for the compost worms. At the end of the week i watered in bacteria against fungus gnats and some bacillus amyloliquefaciens again for healthy root growth together with em-bodenfit. Plants are starting to look better and turning more dark green than before. Now the vegetation stage can take fully over. I hope to top them in about two weeks when they have developed seven nodes and expanded the roots further into the new pots.

Humble_Lion Plants seem to like the new richer substrate. Amazing how fast they grow. Super happy. Many plants developed the sixt node nicely. Time to top come soon. Exited to create a manifold and start with mainlining. Side shoots are starting to grow as well. Sprayed twice with Pflanzenfit and watered in some kelp, horsetail tea, homemade worm tea, Mikrodünger and Bodenfit. Took off the side growth from the first and second node.

Humble_Lion The plants exploded this week. No -just two sprays with pflanzenfit and watering with bodenfit- nutrients this week because i want to top them in two days and the plants look like some of them have almost too much nutrients right know. The little bit of nutrients from last week left some little marks on some of the plants and enhanced the microbiology even more. I guess the soil is alive and the nutrients provided by the microorganisms rich. Side growth on most of them. I will try to make clones of some small side branches as well.

Humble_Lion Beginning of week i toped the ten plants in the 9l pots. The goal is to mainline them from here on. Only six plants will stay, the rest i pass on to friends. Sadly i messed up with the scalpel and slipped while cutting an upper branch off. Resulting in cutting off one of the needed branches from Wedding Cake plant1. Trying to fix it like you can see in the picture. Mid week i moved them out into the greenhouse. They recovered well from topping as of the different climate in the greenhouse. I choose some partly cloudy days to make the change. The plants loved the all natural light right away. Doing LST with soft wires and readjusting them mostly daily. Sprayed them also the first time with homemade worm compost tea by the end of the week as you can see it in the pictures.

Humble_Lion Sunny week but with freezing nights below zero. Since the greenhouse is old, passiv and not insulated the night temperatures are only two degrees higher then outside. Been lighting some candles below the table over night, and brought in some warm compost to try to keep the temperatures above zero. Two nights went down to two degrees inside but the plants been keeping it together. Will top them again next week and continue to mainline. Transplanted the smaller four plants into bigger pots and gonna top them as well and start to mainline them as well.

Humble_Lion Partly cloudy weather this week, even though the nights have been cold they did not went down below zero. Topped the bigger plants the second and the smaller ones the first time. First support structures for further LST got set up. For the Wedding Cake, Orange Sherbert and Jamaican Dream CBD topping should be done till maybe late in veg. because i will grow them bushy and big. From here on i plan to pull out the four mains and the following side branches to create a bushy plant. The Mimosa EVO, Malawi Gold and Jack Herer plant will be topped and mainlined further up to 32 mains that fit into a scrog along the sunny house wall. Let's see how this goes...

Humble_Lion The greenhouse is now packed. The night's got a little bit warmer, weather was partly cloudy and the temperatures during the day went up to 30 in the greenhouse. They are ready for the final transplant and to be finally outdoors. This will happen after the next week. Also most of the other plants will go to they're final place. Time to say goodbye. The plants recovered well from topping. Having my troubles to decide wich one of the two Mimosa Evo and Jack Herer plants might be the stronger ones? One i keep the other will go to some friend....

Humble_Lion Guess what preflowering! The week was again cloudy with cooler temperatures at night (8 degrees) and warm one’s during the day (30) in the greenhouse. I tryed not to overwater them with the goal to harden them off for what they have to deal with in summer. But all together has probably simulated end of summer to much i guess and it triggered blooming! By the mid of the week i was happy to start to see on some of them the sex and was happy about all the girls but only to start to realize without no more than two days that this is more than sexing. From very happy to shocked in no time… I was not expecting it at all and it was also hard to believe for me at first. But i guess you learn something new every day! Well i had in mind to plat them outside in the big pots in 4 days because the moon cycle would be very good to transplant. I read luckily up on this (https://www.edrosenthal.com/the-guru-of-ganja-blog/2020/5/5/preventing-flowering-in-marijuana-plants) it gave me hope and let me shine my flashlight later that night at every plant for a couple of minutes in order to set the „dark period“ timmer of the plant back. In hope to get a 16/8 with this and try to reveg. Tomorrow i will carry them to the final pots outside and in the evening maybe back into the garage under my veg light. To provide enough light for the plants because the next few days will be rainy and with less light. This way i provide warmer nights and cooler days with more light than before. Let’s see how this will play out. I have to say i am nervous. I was exited about to get them out in the living soil pots to see them going big and now this…I realy hope that my plan works out and i can turn this around, otherwise i would be very bummed out. Well i still could get other seedlings from friends or order autos and try them for the first time. Fingers crossed i can reveg them successfully 🤞🏽🙈

Humble_Lion Weather was better than before. A couple of sunny and warmer days. Installed the lights with the timer in order to support a 16/8 light cycle with a 1 minute burst of light every two hours at night. Mid week i transplanted them, super happy about that. Cover crop looks great. The placeholder pots have been filled with horsetail, alfalfa, bokashi and worms. Cleared them out to use it as mulch on top. Watered them in with fresh brewed vermicompost tea. The Jamaican Dream CBD will later move into the garden, so the roots can connect with the soil through the bottom of the bag. Plants looking great by the end of week, but still in flower.... started a new run for back up and a friend of mine would give me some very nice seedlings and clones if things go wrong.

Humble_Lion Rainy and cloudy week again, but with ok temperatures and at least sometimes a bit of sun. I think they will make it out of flowering but some sunny days would be welcomed. The sativa heavy strains got "soft" again and in the indica heavy ones a softening of the branches is noticeable, i take this as a positive sign. The Jack loves the new soil and looses his wrinkled leaves now, i din't remembered during remixing the soil for the 9l pots that the soil already contained enough rock dust and so it was mineral loaded and in combination with the active soil it was too much for the Jack. The Mimosa was glowing by the end of week. Looks like the soil is on point and the added worm compost tea was good. I just imagine how they would go off now in sunny days without the preflowers.... maybe next year;-) Still super happy that the soil turned out great and the homemade worm compost seems to be up to the task. Took me now half a year to get my worm bin up to speed and trying to create great castings. This is my first gardening year with aerated compost tea. hyped!

Humble_Lion More rain and clouds in the past week. But by the end of it the sun and warmer temperatures came around, from now on the forecast looks way better. Startet to pull them to the sides again. The Jack is growing very fast now. Wonder if the Jamaican CBD will make it out of flowering, still no side branches just flowers. You can see now how the sugar leaves startet to grow. Looks like the trichomes have melted into the leaves.

Humble_Lion Good week nice weather and some serious sunshine by the end of the week. I planted in my backup plans into some self made jute bags as i did before and plan to place them into the garden. Welcome AMG to the family and welcome back Panama Red. The AMG i got as a seedling and the Panama Red as a clone from a dear friend. The Wedding Cake and Malawi Gold i popped from my seeds as soon i had seen preflowering on my plants. It is hard to see in the pictures but most plants showing weird leave developing since the new "sugar leaves" now become more and more real finger leaves. They changing! yes... it took now a month! Exited about the back up plants and how everything looks spaced out and ready to grow.

Humble_Lion Good week. Sunny and warm weather, dry wind... The Sherbert and Cake plant are still behind the others with reveging, the CBD is the worst. On the other side the Jack and Malawi plant are showing three finger leaves again. The Mimosa is slowly on to it as well. Super happy with the Panama clone and the AMG is just loving the new root space, my second round of Cake and Malawi seedlings are looking happy as well.

Humble_Lion Week was sunny, warm and with dry wind. Did some topping, pruning and mainlining to the plants. Sherbert and Cake i pruned off halt of the shoots. Jamaican, Mimosa, Jack and Malawi i topped and mainlined. Panama, AMG, Cake and Malawi from the rerun i just pruned off the lowest two nodes as they shall grow in a naturally shape without being topped. Reveging still in progress, Malawi and Jack are in the lead. Finally the Jamaican is turning around as well, but with a long way to go. Wonder if the Cake and Sherbert will be back in shape by the end of month. Think i have to abandon my plan for the grow pattern on this two. will see...

Humble_Lion hot and sunny week with lots of dry wind. things are getting really dry around here. i had to water often. good that the wind should turn next week and bring more moist air, we need rain! added horsetail to the mulch pad and to my weekly spray a bit of EM- Mikrodünger. all the flowering plants now show three fingered leaves on the fresh growth. super happy with that. the jack even start to show now five fingered leaves again and is growing faster as well. think one more week and i can top it up to 16 nodes. the malawi and mimosa will need two more weeks i guess. The rerun plants got a bit of mealworm frass for nutrition, otherwise looking good as well.

Humble_Lion sunny and warm week with a bit of rain. summers here. the rerun plants are growing fast if you look at the pics of last week. the mealworm frass helped, also the color is now more healthier and more dark green. i should not give more nutrients to the AMG, she is now very dark green tainted. the reveging ones are doing fine as well. the three sativas i want to mainline up to 32 nodes are back on track and i think i will reach my goal there, all of them are growing now with five fingered leaves again. Jack Herer is ready to top for 16 nodes, malawi and mimosa will need one more week. topdressed all with malted barley and gave 2ml/l of EM-Mikrodünger to the plants in the jute bags and the amg plant. The garden now is in full swing, very nice to come home after work and to rest there. the first pictures have been taken in the early morning light, the second ones are late in the afternoon. most of the plants having 9hours of direct sun now. very happy tho see tiger slugs now in my garden as they will eat other snail eggs. have been spotting lately two and thinking that i have seen baby tigers as well, not sure jet. came across this 17cm long one the other night. beautiful!

Humble_Lion nice and warm week with average temperatures and a long full day rain on friday. jack is now up to 16 nodes, malawi and mimosa will follow next week. cake and sherbert starting to grow now as well, i decided to put them in cages now. i was arguing with myself if it would be better to scrog them again like last year, but i was exited to try out cages for the first time. this will happen next week. the ones in the yute bags got planted out now as well, look how this bags are rooted out on the bottom! it's been only one month since i transplanted the seedlings and the one clone in to them, and the panama red clone was only in yogurt cup! Impressive! i planted them in a mellow planting hole wich i amended with bokashi, alfalfa and kelp. super happy with my garden bed where now veggies and cannabis are growing together, exited to see the progress. The jamaican dream cbd i pruned up to the top nodes and plan to top up to 16 nodes somewhen in the next two weeks. the nodes are so close on this plant that has been the most far in blooming already. exited to see her flipping back and see how she will grow. gave some worm tea to all of them and amended malted barley. in the garden bed i seeded out some clover and other cover crop plants. sprayed once with pflanzenfit and a spike of mikrodünger. on the plants wich grow naturally i started to tuck the fan leaves back into the plant to give more light to new nodes and let them grow wide naturally.

Humble_Lion warm and sunny week with a little bit of rain. the garden needs alot of watering right now. came up with the cages on the sherbert and cake plant. pruned them up to give them some space. lets see how far they can grow until they start to flower. toped the jamaican dream up to 16 nodes. all the mainlined ones are now on 16 nodes as well with the jack in the lead. maybe the jack will be ready to top for the last time next week. made worm compost tea twice this week. on a root day i watered in the tea pure and on a flower day i sprayed it onto the plant diluted. the second malawi gold got burned by nutrients, seems to be a delicate one. the panama, cake and jamaican took the transplanting out in the garden well. they loved it! compost tea is a game changer i have to say. go for it!

Humble_Lion warm and sunny week again. in the beginning it was hot and by tuesday a big thunderstorm rolled over the area. happy that no hail was included(i was worried sick and build up quick the protection nets) and thankfull for all the rain. after that we had average summer day temperatures till the end of week. toped the jack up to 32 nodes and pruned the other mainlined plants to speed them up for next weeks topping. happy that i will be able to grow all of them with 32 nodes. the three plants in the garden bed are growing rapidly! check the pictures from last week to compare... sherbert is going well while wedding cake1 grows still a bit shy. happy to see the jamaican dream cbd developing fast now as well. gave worm compost tea to the roots once

Humble_Lion good week at humble garden warm and sunny days with some rain here and there. perfect growing conditions! i topped the malawi gold1 and the mimosa evo up to 32 nodes. the malawi is still a bit behind but will make it. the trellis construction is in full swing and will be fully done next week. the ones in the garden are already outgrowing my cage with the hail protection net. i changed them out and put on a trellis net. decided to top the malawi gold2 and the panama red now to reduce the final hight. i would have love to see how tall they go naturally but i was afraid i will stress out the neighbour hood to much with my trees. it is already a bit to much with all my plants this year. i planed to have only half of them... wedding cake1 and orange sherbert will need allot of pruning

Humble_Lion Last week before holidays was busy. Did alot of pruning/lollipoping to the plants. Gave twice worm compost tea. On a root day to the soil on a flower day to the plants as a spray. They seemed to like the topdressing from last week and no one got burned or stressed out. The mainlined plants are should do well exept the malawi gold needs to grow better into the trellis construction. Finished up all the trellis constructions as well now. In the garden bed the topped malawi and panama plants are growing now into the trellis net already. The wedding cake and orange sherbet needed quiet some work to prune them up but i am pretty happy with the result. In general very gratefull that all the blooming plants managed to turn around and are now ready for the real flowering period. Exited now for holidays and off for the next three weeks. When i come back they should be in full preflowering. The orange sherbert i think will start preflowering in the next days as the first one given the signs she’s showing.

Humble_Lion been away for two weeks. first one was rainy and cold, the second one more sunny and at the end the average summer climate was back. most of the plants start to show preflowers, while the indica heavy ones are in the lead. super happy how healthy the plants are. way to come home from holidays. they have started to stretch now. exited for the flowering period!!!

Humble_Lion Hot and sunny week. Summer in full swing at humble garden. Been guiding and organising the mainlined plants in a way that every shoot gets his space. They are turning out nicely, only the malawi gold is a bit short in one corner. Took out all of the previous structures i used to mainline them. The malawi gold and panama red in the garden bed i scroged in as much as possible to reduce the hight and getting a more even canopy. Preflowers are noticeable on every plant now. The orange sherbert is the furthest into flowering while the 100% sativas as panama red and both malawi gold plants are showing only a few white hairs here and there. Did some topdressing again with kelp and mealworm guano (100ml for each plant) Added some mulch because the big one i added a month ago is gone and turned into soil witch is fully rooted out. crazy!

Humble_Lion Very hot and dry week. Day temperatures over thirty and nights around twenty degrees... but a storm will come! Had to water alot but the plants looked always proper. I am impressed because right infront of the house it gets brutal in such conditions. But the three sativas seem to get along with it. The double size pots compared to last season are really helping, of course the increased microbes and good soil doing the job as well. And the cover crop is helping to cool down the pot and the plant also. Flowers developing now even on the two malawi gold plants, while orange sherbert is far i the lead. First worm compost tea since three weeks for the plants, from now on again weekly. First time ever Biobizz Calmag and ActiVera for the plants, from now on weekly as well... Very happy how they are stretching and you can almost watch them grow right now!

Humble_Lion The expected rain storm came in and brought cool weather along. couple of rainy days in the beginning of the week and towards the end of it normal end of summer weather again. i have to build some rain protection for the plants that flowered before because the branches are not that stable that they will carry wet buds. orange sherbert already bended down like crazy this week in the rain. added ph neutral bokashi and some alfalfa strew to the mulch. worm compost tea, activera, calmag and malted barley as well. Flowers are developing...

Humble_Lion hot and dry weather again... summer continues! flowers developing, orange sherbert is swelling up, what a joy to watch. started to build protection from rain with greenhouse plastic. only planed to introduce it to the sativas infront of the house but due to the early preflowering and reveging of the indicas in the big pots they only produced thin branches wich now will carry heavy flowers. if they get wet they will break for sure. the smell around the house is getting stronger every day now. gave them also em micro nutrients and a bit of molasses for the first time. will continue with it from now on. a good harvest moon will be towards the end of the month. maybe the sherbert will be ready by then but i guess most of the plants will take at least till beginning of october.
