Germination was successful after a couple of days. At this point I'm just going to give water when necessary and watch for what the seedling tells me. With regards to the light intensity. I will be using Cal mag with my water for the duration of my grow

Quebec black seedling is in a very healthy state at this point. I have taken advice from Dr. MJ Coco and am keeping my ceiling under 24 hours of direct light. I will do this until I part up into a 5 gallon fabric pot. I plan on implementing CO2 gas right away too.

At this point I have started to use CO2 gas in the tent. I I'm aiming for a residual of a about 800 PPM throughout vegetation. Furthermore, I will try match my nutrient strength to my CO2 residual... The girls have also started to get topped and ties down

The first thing you may notice is the paper towel wrapped around the edges of the pot. I do this to battle fungus gnats that I get every time I use this specific soil. I also applied diatomaceous earth to the top of the soil once it dried up... This is the best way I've learned to deal with fungus gnats. The paper towel will come off in about a week, maybe even less... Happy growing

The girls are looking really healthy right now. After I switched the lights over to 18/6 I started dialing out the intensity on them. Also, I've been taking big families off as much as possible. The gaseous CO2 makes the fan leaves extremely large on vegetating plants.. they just needed to go lol. I plan on flipping the lights on the 31st. I will do be doing it slowly by turning the lights off 2 hours earlier each day for 3 days in a row. This helps reduce stress going into flower. I'm also going to start foliar feeding the plants with a product called solar rain by Rooted Leaf Agriculture.

I started the light flip process on January 30th. I increased my CO2 dosage to around 1100-1200 ppm within a few days of the light change... I already notice a big difference in the structure of the plants. At this stage I will use a p-k booster and start to cut back the 'grow' nutrients... At around week 5 of flower I will cut out nitrogen entirely... I have a 0-0-0 CalMag I plan on using up until harvest which make up the majority of nutrition in late flower. I've been pulling off more of the vegetation on the lower side along with the larger fan leaves that are blocking light from hitting the smaller bud sites. I gave really heavy feeding today considering they are stretching a couple inches a day. I have a SCROG net that I'm thinking of putting in the tent for the two plants in the back.. not sure how that's going to look yet but lll figure it out on Monday when I've got a day off. Starting to get bud sites forming showing blackish pistils.. already living up to their name Add me on IG for more updates @waterboy_519

I've been feeding really heavy since my last post.. roughly 1200 ppm (2.4 EC). This is just to keep up with my C02 dosage. I've also been turning up my lights every other day trying to get as much light exposure as possible. Already giving off some awesome colours and odours. Trichome development has started too. I will be watering in some beneficial enzymes at the end of this week. I'm going to keep taking off large fan leaves whenever possible. I added a scrog net for the two plants in the back of the tent. They seem to be the largest and will definitely need the support going into late flower. Add me on IG for more grow updates at waterboy_519

It's been a great week to watch bud sites continue to develop thoroughly across the top of the canopy. The plant I have in the scrog net is the bigger of the two so it got a heavier defoliation particularly near the bottom of the plant. -I added Humboldt secret golden tree (0-0-2) to my nutrient mix to help boost nutrition to the root zone. It is expensive stuff but the plants can't get enough of it. I have been giving really heavy feedings (1200 ppm or 2.4 EC) every other water, but soon I'm going to taper off and focus on feeding more calcium and carbon than anything else. -I increased my CO2 dosage to about 1400 ppm - I have increased my light intensity to roughly 80% on all three of my lights.. I probably won't go much higher I never run my lights at 100% -Trichome development has really taken off.. plants have developed a sweet & gassy smell.. the structure of these girls is UNREAL.. Quebec Cannabis Seeds offers the very best cultivars in Canada.. shout out to QCS 🇨🇦 Add me on Instagram for more updates @ waterboy_519

All is well. I'm continuing to feed 'bloom' nutrients every other time I water. I'm giving heavy calmag doses every time I water. I'm trying to take out any unnecessary vegetation that is preventing air circulation. Lights are all at about 85% intensity... I won't be turning them up any more than that. I have reduced my nitrogen load... By the end of next week I won't be giving any more nitrogen at all.

I've started decreasing my CO2 dosage as I have reduced my nitrogen load. I'm going to slowly keep removing any unnecessary vegetation. I have turned off my space heater at night to get colder temperatures. I started feeding extremely heroic doses of calmag (Rooted Leaf 0-0-0 CalMag plus) These buds are extreeeemely dense and covered in trichomes with a really gassy smell. Some pistils are starting to change colour to a deep amber.

Smooth sailing at this point... I have just a few key things to discuss going forward this week. No more nitrogen being fed to these plants at this point. My PK booster has no nitrogen, and I plan on using it once or twice more. The majority of nutrition at this point is coming from the rooted leaf Cal-Mag fuel which is an organic source of food. I've also been using the Golden Tree 0-0-2 but unfortunately I ran out this week. To replace it, I'll be using an organic black strap molasses. My temperatures have also dropped at night. By by about 7° c. My daytime temperatures are down two or three degrees Celsius. CO2 dosage is set to 800 parts per million

These girls are wild. I did a Trichome check yesterday and I don't have many clear ones they are almost ready to go. I'm still taking off larger vegetation getting in the way of lights and air circulation. I've also increased my intake fan to cool down my tent more and my heater has been off for weeks. The buds are extremely dense and sticky and they're giving off a wicked aroma. Very pleased with this strain and the ease of this grow. I'm feeding full strength calmag (0-0-0) and sulfur-free blackstrap molasses every watering with very small dose of a p-k booster every third watering. Im also using Orca liquid mycorrhizal as much as I can.

These girls are busting out the seams. Giving them heroic doses of Calmag and molasses to finish the job off. I just did a Trichome check and we're at 5-10% amber so they are ready to be pulled. These photoperiod plants are ready in under 100 days. The smell is wildly pungent .. thankfully I have my exhaust venting outside for the whole world to enjoy ☮️🇨🇦

This is really the day when I am cutting the plants down. I don't want to fill out the harvest section until I have all the info needed to do it. I find the way it is set up on here to be kind of silly... Today is day 95 since these girls popped and stuck their heads out of the soil. I'm blown away with the size of these plants considering their age. I'm going to contribute the majority of this success to the CO2 gas I use. I filled out my tank 4 times for a total of 100 dollars .. the 4th tank I bought is still full and I'll be able to use it on my next grow. These buds and colas are extremely dense and packed with resin. They are giving off a really deep and complex smell. Kind of like a fruity earth mixed with skunk. I plan on drying at temperatures between 62 and 68 deg. fahrenheit with humidity about 55%. Once the smaller branches snap completely and the buds don't come off 'stringy' then I will move on to the next step of curing. For this I use Grove bags and boveda humidity packs (62% RH). I'm expecting at least 8 oz off of each plant and I do intend to press some with my resin press

My advice would be to continue defoliating any of the lower vegetation and get a scrog net. Don't be afraid to feed more nutrients than you're used to

Yet another Quebec Cannabis Seeds cultivar that exceeds all my expectations This strain is gorgeous & extremely potent. The dry stage took about 9 days... which is a little bit quicker than I'm used to, but everything turned out well. I'm very happy with this strain and I would recommend it to everyone In under 100 days I managed to get just over 28 oz off of four plants. I think the gaseous CO2 is directly responsible for this and I will be using it for every grow going forward.

Est-ce des black bud ou des black gold? Ton titre diffère de la variété et QCS tient les deux. J'ai acheter du black bud pour cet été en extérieur.

@Greendude, I picked black gold I think because grow diaries didn't have Quebec Black as an option and I wanted to find a registered strain with QCS to put the diary under.. black gold was the closest one

Interesting tip, thanks. I only experienced fungus gnats once years ago, and it was not fun. What soil has this problem if I may ask? Also why do you continue to use it? I'm a relatively beginner indoor grower, so I'm genuinely curious. Thanks :)
Wrongholn519
Wrongholn519commented2 years ago
@@resimax, I use Promix organic and Promix HP... The organic stuff often can contain fungus gnats eggs.. it's very common in bagged 'soil'..Promix is just readily available and affordable. The diatomaceous earth eliminates the fungus gnats from being able to actually develop so it doesn't even bother me anymore.

Beautiful work my fellow Canadian. How big is your tank & how long does it last ? I had the same idea coming from the commercial side of things I had to figure out a better way than c02 bags but tried them for the sake of my tutorial series. Was going to advance to tanks for the next installment.
Wrongholn519
Wrongholn519commented2 years ago
@LegacyMarketFarm, thanks man much appreciated. If you have IG you should add me and Ill do the same, I'm here to network and meet people who love to grow just as much as I do. After I bought my meter I started playing around with the store bought products to try and make them work. I had a TNB bottle and an exhale bag at the same time.. I even mounted a fan at the opening of the exhale bag to try and help spread the CO2 and that didn't work. I then tried making my own CO2 generators with sugar and yeast.. I had 4 of them in a series tighter and they didn't work either 🤣 I've been talking about my experiences ever since. Im not the kind of person to go around talking shit about companies / products but this one is a bust & I spent a lot of money on those TNB refills before I bought a meter. I even borrowed a friend's meter to confirm mine was accurate and I got the same results.

LegacyMarketFarmcommented2 years ago
@Wrongholn519, That is great. I am from the commercial legacy scene using Infra red burners. Going to tents & doing these tutorial series I wanted to start off with the product most people use, Then use my own idea on how to improve utilizing tanks. It is good to see other people already thought of it first because it seemed like a no brainer. Thank you again my friend! & I will throw you a shout-out in my video that covers this at the end of this crop & talking about the c02 bag result & what we will be doing in the next series to improve (tanks)

Wrongholn519commented2 years ago
@LegacyMarketFarm, hey sorry for the late reply here. So I have a lot of experience with testing CO2 products purchased specifically for growing and I can confidently say that The ONLY way to go is the gas..... With that being said, to get an 800 PPM residual during veg I'll use about 0.75lb/day of CO2...... For flower I can get a1500 ppm residual using about 1.25 lb/day.... My 20 lb tank costs 25$ to refill (call around, some places will try and charge double that). And lasts anywhere from 2 weeks to a month. It's cheaper than TNB products and 1000x more effective. I couldn't get a residual over 800 PPM with a TNB bottle after day 2 when I had my fans running 🗑️.. they test their product in sealed environments with no circulation in order to get the numbers they do. It should be addressed but everyone thinks TNB actually works.. me included until I brought home a CO2 meter. Exhale bags are even worse unfortunately. Hope this helps. I've got tons of photos and stuff on Instagram related to CO2 @ waterboy_519
