First week for Haze Berry Strain. Accidentally knocked off new left leaf while transplanting into larger pot. Not much stretching yet. Medium is mix of Sta-Green coco coir and Sta-Green Perfect Potting Mix.
Added nutrition on 2nd day because of leaf lose.
Everything looks great to me except leafs look a little less green then first week. I will be fine tuning the nutrition for better NPK ratios, focusing on Nitrogen and Potassium more along with micronutrients. I hope I don't screw something up, wish me luck.
D9. Noticed possible slight nutrition burning from very bottom leaf. After some research, now i believe it's Nitrogen deficiency.
D10. Bottom leaves appear to be yellowing less. Will keep eye on it. Maybe leaf necrosis.
D.12 10 minutes before light out. Add nutrition and topping. My thinking is that healing is better during off cycle.
D.13 New growth, however lower leaves look like there is a little magnesium deficiency. Will be adjusting nutrition next feeding.
D.15 Added extra magnesium to water. Will be keeping eye on yellowing leaves.
D.16 Realized that not enough coco is in pots. So I folded the top of pot over after seeing leaf damage on tips from rubbing side of pot.
D. 19 Trying LST. Lost of small branches at the bottom. She is still a bit too short. I may have topped too early or stunted plant height in early stages. Hard to say for sure.
D. 21 Decided to defoliate some leaves. Too many leaves blocking airflow
Doing a good bit of defoliation this week. Really want undergrowth to start thriving. Using stem clips to space everything out.
Day. 24 used tap water with ph of about 7.5. Soil ph down so using higher ph water with out ph balancing
Probably switching to flower next week, despite the black suger girl being weak. I'll try again next cycle with black suger.
Watering schedule this week has been very irregular. Flushed for two days then use cal-mag. Waiting for mix to dry out some.
Day 35. Started 12/12 cycle.(no picture) my impatience forced me to start flowing. Moved lights 12in from top of plants. Aiming for 33000 lumens. Heard that equals about 850 micromoles, which i think is most plants can process, according to my research. Fingers crossed.
Day 37. Mild defoliation and ls training to increase light penetration.
Day 44. Bent branch to far.
Day 46. Will be watering today. She really started to get thirsty. Peet moss help from medium drying out too fast, I think.
Day 49. Added new supplements to plants. Looking healthy
Day 50. April 1st, removing large fan leaves on top for side buds. Starting to bloom now. The other one is not a far along in flowering, so smell from tent is probably this one. Smells kind of like sweet caramel coffee. Just kind of like a sweet dark scent.
Day 52. More defoliation to inner canopy. Trying to maximize results.
Day 58. Slowly defoliating. Not really sure how many fan leaves to leave while flowersing.
Day 62. More defoliation. Watered today. Tricomes started to appear. Very excited. Moved everything around because humidifier was spraying flower. Tried to get close up picture but no good.
Our run has come to an end. She wasn't ready but out put was looking subpar. Decided to call it quits. About 178g wet with most everything off branches. About 50g dry. Will not be posting dry weight. I blame high stress for low numbers. Dry wait little over 60 grams. Buds are fluffy but very smooth smoke.
"My thinking is that healing is better during off cycle."
The best time to water is just before or at lights on. This keeps the humidity down during the "night".
@HornyMccoy, I edited mine too lol! Sorry! I see your setup now, and I think I see the problem!
Firstly, the carbon filter is first off too low, it needs to be right up at the top.
Secondly, the open duct vent right next to it is where all the air going out of that extractor is coming from... right in that hole and straight out through the filter. I think this is the reason your humidity problems your airflow is not working.
Can you seal up all of the holes except the ones at the bottom of the tent, but most especially that big hole right next to the filter! If for some reason you cannot seal that hole, move the carbon filter to the opposite side and as high as possible. But I really think that big hole is the problem.
@UnorthadoxDude, misspelled word. I meant the dehumidifier might need to be upgraded, tent has high humidity. I corrected Original post. Yes, there is a out-duct fan with cardon filter. The tent is in a large cabinet for a hidden grow. Holes in cabinet for air out-take/duct fan and in-take fan for ac. There is a picture of the inside of my setup in one of my grows. I'll add it to this one if not.
@HornyMccoy, Hey bud, yeah upgrade the dehumidifer is an option but for both running and purchase costs, getting a duct fan in there expelling air (if it doesn't already) would be a great upgrade. Unless you give them 12 hours of uninterrupted darkness, they shouldn't flower, it doesn't really happen by accident.
D.13: Well spotted mate that is really early magnesium deficiency... but you are growing in coco and make no mention of adding any CalMag? In coco CalMag is absolutely essential - if you want to see a really good example of this early magnesium deficiency progressing a bit, have a look at my diary "Nesia". It starts really early in week 2, and progresses until I fix it some time in week 3.
