Started on January 13th broke ground on the 19th here it is 4 weeks later and going strong with no real problems. I did over extend a branch and it broke at the stalk so I pulled out my trusty electrical tape held the branch in place and taped it up. As long as there is a airless bond between the broken pieces it heals no problems. I have found that when repairing a break black electrical tape is best. It’s not to sticky you get it stuck everywhere and sticks enough that it stays long enough for repair to heal about 5-7 days. I water every other day and feed every other watering. My big fan took a crap waiting on 2 6” tornado fans. Need to get the air moving before the canopy is full. Growing 3 other strains with this one check othe diary.

I am posting a day early. It’s because these Air Pots are fugus gnat motels. I opened the tent yesterday and there were baby gnats everywhere I didn’t even think to prepare for them because I have not had gnats in my last 5 grows now a full infestation I don’t over water (learned the hard way) and actually I probably underwater because of my frustration with gnats in the past. They sent big flat folded mesh with them and didn’t even think to line the pot with them. All mistakes are welcome because it only strengthens my growing knowledge. I switched to Air Pots from a recommendation from a friend and over a couple days a gnat bloom I would be pissed if I paid for them they are not cheap. My on the fly solution was I made a: Mosquito bits tea and soaked the soil with it. Filled every hole with DE (diatomaceous earth) yes every hole, maybe overkill but better safe than sorry, with a Harris Diatomaceous Earth Powder Duster I got off Amazon 3 years ago. Got neem oil & yellow bug sticky pads on the way. I am not watering till almost dry and pots are very light to pick up then when oil & traps arrive I will flush in the bathtub and use pads, neem & DE for gnat control. Other than the gnat outbreak, snapping a couple of fan leafs and a broken and fixed branch it’s going great The branch I taped last week is stronger than than the others. I Check the plant every day and make LST adjustments on the fly. I like growing a few different plants in a tent during winter to see how much production I can force and that tells me what strain I am planting outside for my summer Photos. Happy growing.

No problems this week. She is looking very healthy. The DE, mosquito bits, letting pots dry up and flushing did the trick on the fungus gnats no sign since last week. I have found that if you act rapidly to fungus gnats you only need minimal treatment. Let their breeding cycle go a couple times and it’s almost impossible without stressing plant. I have found that that product mosquito bits works phenomenal for stopping their breeding cycle. Have a pic of the bag in the photos. It’s all organic it’s all natural. It’s microbial larvicide. I mix it with my top layer of soil every grow. These Air Pots have hole in the sides and it’s my first time using them, wasn’t warned they are gnat motels unless you have a rigorous watering method. No LST since I noticed all the cola sites. I like to let them ease into flowering the first week because I am heavy handed when it comes to LST. I have had one of my girls turn into a hermaphrodite from heavy LST, strangest cannabis plant you will ever see. Usually for me 5-7 week depending on the strain I give the girls a break from any stress when flowering starts. Then after fist week or so into flower I LST her into the final budding positions and hands off unless a fan leaf has had its life sucked out of it then I clip them. I don’t cut a single leaf while it’s in veg and all most all of the budding cycle. Other than the budding nothing else going on with this one.

For a first time strain I can say this is a fantastic auto. I LST from the time it gets it’s first true leaf. At this point I like to try and divide the plant into its main stalks. After about a few days I start to LST the taller and bigger limbs. I have noticed the more attention you put towards getting light as far down into the plant as possible the more large buds I have instead of a bunch of popcorn buds. That’s why I am pulling all the limbs towards the rim of the pot. I try and get it to the point where I can almost see the bottom of the main stock in the soil when looking down from the top. Then what I do is I tuck all of the fan leafs and then a gently untangle all of the small tiny branches with buds on them to the middle to get more sun so in the end instead of having a bunch of popcorn bags at the bottom of the plant I actually have some pretty decent size buds. This strain Brain Damage by Growers Choice is a fun grow. It’s predictable, the stalks are Relatively springy so you are a heavy handed bender like me you can go at them and bend in to position without fear of snapping them. I am not saying bend them at a 90° angle just they can take quite a bit of handling. Will have more microscope pictures next week just was a really busy week. Peace

Week 8 for Brain Damage Growers Choice Seed-City.com I started her over 2 weeks before the rest and my Red Jack caught up and passed her. My first time with this strain and I am loving it. She is a little complicated, nothing like growing O.G. Kush. She is growing very even and so far she has been no hassles. I can definitely smell her over her sister strains. Very aromatic kinda sweet with lemon skunk. I try not to cut any fan leafs till they are ready to fall off. I try and let them give their own nutrients from her leafs. I am the type of grower that put more time into LST than anything else. Once the sugar leafs start popping out then I can start to LST the bigger branches outward and the scraggly ones to the middle so they can mature into nice buds and colas. Witch has always bumped my final harvest up to and over double the average one. I switched up my nutrients to add Fox Farm Tiger Bloom and Grow Big. First time using 3 Fox Farm nutrients. I found a deal I couldn’t pass on cheaper then the Miracle-Gro and pure nitrogen I have been using. I am still heavily preforming LST. I use plastic coated gardening wire and pink twin (be able to see it). I have been finding a bunch of millipedes squirming around in the catch pan after I water. I think they are good cause I know they are carnivores so plant is safe. Have to research if they are harmless or not. Going to ask our community and will get back. The only real problems have been either my error in being heavy handed breaking shit or the usual from a learning curve using these new AirPots (Small fungus gnat infestation). I rotate my plants often so light has a chance to hit everything.

Grow is in high gear the stalks are all getting stiff. The colas are starting to form. Getting nice tricombs. Switching to Fox Farm was a blessing. I switched nutrients in the middle of the grow because I found a deal on Fox Farm Trio I could not pass up and I am so happy I did. When I grow multiple strains at once I use either OG Kush or BCN Critical as my control and they are a lot larger than they usually are at this point. I have all her branches in their final budding positions and will stop nutrients in a 7 to 10 days for the last couple of weeks to flush her. First flush with new nutes and want to make sure they are flushed and sucking the life out of the remaining fan leafs.

This is my first time growing Brain Damage (BD) from seed-city.com by Growers ChoiceI and I am impressed out of the 4 I have growing now she is the most pungent so sweet and a little citrus. This strain BD has been a very uncomplicated grow. She does not need as much attention to her. She is easy to train very springy plant and responds amazingly to LST. I like to try and grow then low and even as compared to straight up. I like to train them to fill the open spaces in the tent. I train the with a heavy hand when I can. I like to push my plants hard. So much, so they usually take 2-3 weeks longer than the average. I had to add some Mosquito-Bits to my water for a couple of waterings. There were a couple fungus gnats floating around and I like better safe than sorry. I have found with these Smart-Pots watering can be tricky. Too much and you get a huge gnat bloom, so many places for them to crawl out or the soil get to dry to absorb water. I figured out watering I have to go slow. I use a watering can with a long spout and I water till the top is covered in water then let it absorb then repeat till I see it flowing from the bottom and not all the holes in the sides. I can’t wait till she is done I have a feeling she is going to be so much tastier and more potent than the other strains I am growing I can’t wait

I am shocked at how this plant came back. In like weekly 6-7 I was flushing her and I turned child off before the hot and scorched a part of her. There was a dried up bud left over from when it happen and of course I put it in my bowl and smoke it. This strain is strong as hell a premature dried up bud buzzed the heel out of me. This shit is going to be like dynamite. I stopped and anything to me water when watering last Thursday so only a couple weeks before she gets shoved Pune the dark got a day or so.

Week 12 and she has about 10 days to go before I start to put in the dark then trim and dry her. She has so many tricomes that I have to wear rubber gloves because my hands get all sticky when I am training her. The smell is so strong it combined with my Red Jack Auto is overpowering my carbon filter. A branch got broken and instead of trying to repair I dried and smoked it. I am real happy about this strain because it wasn’t really dried or cured and it was fabulous. I did have a problem with my OG Kush auto. She tuned hermaphrodite and I had to pull Zie and stuck Zie in a closet so the Brain Damage didn’t go to seed. It did open up room and I LSTed my remaining plants to fill the tent. I put her in the tub and flushed her again because I missed a couple of waterings and the soil started to lock up so I added a few drops of Dawn dish soap to loosen the soil. I have found that a drop or two of Dawn dish soap to soften the water and make it able to soak in to dry soil. It was unusually warm here in Western NY and I put her outside in the sun for 2 days and it did wonders for her.

In summer I use disposable grow bags and almost fill my yard with them, neighbors are all 420 friendly and don’t mind me stinking up the neighborhood because they know free weed is on its way.

Sorry but they are all pollinated and will be seeds in them and buds won't be as strong as they usually are all them need chopping and this also looks like it might have bud rot
