Tent Update.
•
As you can see in the tent photo, I'm still waiting on two plants to finish out on 12/12.
•
The larger one is a Critical Purple Auto that turned out to be a photo.
•
Smaller Blackstrap (Gnome Automatics / Brother Mendel)
•
Blackstrap's trikes are all cloudy, but she is being stubborn about amber trichomes.
Scrog News:
•
I removed the legs from my scrog net and replaced them with ratchet straps (just the top for now).
•
Table fits just as I hoped. Zero extra clearance for the legs inside my (hidden) flood tray.
•
Making the net pretty much the size of the tent may pose adjustment issues in the very back.
•
See photos for how I modified my scrog for ceiling suspensions.
•
Floor ratchet straps will be installed to give resisting force the plants give as they push up.
•
The flood tray has a lip that should make it easy to hook it without going down to tent frame.
Day 6 from Germination (for most):
•
I didn’t plan ahead for leggy seedlings. I normally don’t have this issue.
•
However, this time I’m going more “by the book” with MarsHydro instructions.
•
Usually, they think they have landed on the sun. : )
Day 6 Notables:
•
Only one Velvet Punch (a) came out normal.
•
The others are struggling with their inner seed membrane.
•
One is just not going to open (so far).
•
2 backup Velvet Punch are on Day 2 since clearing ground.
•
Otherwise they all look gangly and normal for 6 and 4 days old.
Day 6 - Continued - I couldn't take the legginess of those scrawny stems. Just did a quick transplant into solo cups and added more coco mix to the top.
Day 7 (yesterday) - The Velvet Punch seeds are showing some negative traits. Some of them seem to be stuck under the shell membrane. The other 2 cultivars are progressing along. I did add a little nutrients for the first time. I went with 0.600 EC @ 5.8 pH.
