I started this diary with four different strains and decided to break them up because I noticed it was harder to search for the individual strains And I’m doing four different auto flowers and to have started boarding. The other two aren’t even close. I’m just going to copy and paste the pictures and what I wrote and from week five on will be original Content:
Let’s see if I can post every week on this one. My last diary faded out and got so much better at multiple strain growing. This is week 4 of my 4 strains 3 in this diary listed. Started LST & leaf tucking last week. I water every other day at this point and light feeding every other watering. I should have waited a week before LST on the OG it grows real wild the first month and is a mess till budding. The BCN was having a phosphorus deficiency added extra bonemeal and corrected the problem. The Red Jack is growing like mad the fan leafs are bigger than my hang (I am 6’2”) and there stems almost a 1/2 inch thick making it hard to tuck.
Sorry I forgot to log this strain this week. Nothing special battled a Small fungus, gnats infestation I will tell you how I took care of it in next week’s diary
BCN Critical XXL from Seed-Stocked is in my opinion one of the funniest strains to grow. It is great for a easy grow for beginners and if it’s your first grow it’s perfect. It also takes everything you can throw at it. A experienced grower can push her and get colas the size of a 24oz can of beer. It’s definitely a XXL strain. Great to make a few buck on also. I grow this strain anytime I can because the yield is tremendous and it’s a great way to recoup some of the money spent on growing. (Not sure if I can say that here will delete if a problem, one of the reasons I left the other diary app)
She is looking very healthy. It must have been a potassium deficiency a couple weeks ago they we’re changing color i adds real powdered beef bone broth. Yes that’s what I wrote a old hippie in his 70s told me about bone broth and adding it to my fert schedule does make a huge difference in the green in her.
The DE, mosquito bits, letting pots dry up and flushing did the trick on the fungus gnats no sign since last week. I have found that if you act rapidly to fungus gnats you only need minimal treatment. Let their breeding cycle go a couple times and it’s almost impossible without stressing plant. I have found that that product mosquito bits works phenomenal for stopping their breeding cycle. Have a pic of the bag in the photos. It’s all organic it’s all natural. It’s microbial larvicide.
I mix it with my top layer of soil every grow. These Air Pots have hole in the sides and it’s my first time using them, wasn’t warned they are gnat motels unless you have a rigorous watering method.
I preformed LST to her to spread her out. This strain loves light and will soak up as much as it can and when budding blows through nutrients, but if cared for and kept full she will turn into a beast.
This is my control stain I grow BCN Critical anytime I am growing multiple strains. The main reason I live this strain is is easy to grow and even the smallest amount of LST produces a very large yield. I use this strain to sell and offset my cost of my smoking strain. Don’t let the price fool you. Like $2 on (seed-city dot com) they are crazy cheap. I LST from the time it gets its first true leaf. At this point I like to try and divide the plant into its main stalks. After about a few days I start to LST the taller and bigger limbs. I have been finding Millipede and a couple Of centipede not sure if they are harmful or not going to have to research that and I’ll get back to yours I have noticed the more attention you put towards getting light as far down into the plant as possible the more large buds I have instead of a bunch of popcorn buds. That’s why I am pulling all the limbs towards the rim of the pot. I try and get it to the point where I can almost see the bottom of the main stock in the soil when looking down from the top. Then what I do is I tuck all of the fan leafs and then a gently untangle all of the small tiny branches with buds on them to the middle to get more sun so in the end instead of having a bunch of popcorn buds at the bottom of the plant I actually have some pretty decent size buds. I am having a slight drooping problem. I stopped watering yesterday to see if it overwatered if it not. I will put in tub full of water and let soak, drain and fertilize.
She finally started to bloom almost into week 8. I switched up my nutrients to add Fox Farm Tiger Bloom and Grow Big. First time using 3 Fox Farm nutrients. I found a deal I couldn’t pass on cheaper then the Miracle-Gro and pure nitrogen. That’s why I grow BCN Critical xxl on just about every multi strain grow because it’s my control. I have grown that strain so many times it’s like autopilot taking care of her. I will be able to see how much of a difference going almost completely Fox Farm. I have been slacking a little posting this week. I am still heavily preforming LST. My goal is till they have stretched and have most of the sugar leafs I LST the big branches out ward trying to leave middle completely exposed to the light and then what I do is a train all of the small stalks with flowers on them into the middle and instead of them becoming popcorn buds they turn into nice big buds or even extra small cola’s. Doing this give me an average of 4-8 ounces a plant. I have over doubled harvest doing this. This strain takes a little longer to grow but the harvest is unreal. She is not a top shelf bud but her seeds are cheap as shit and grow like crazy. BCN is a great beginner plant because it can take a lot of screw ups and still produce large harvests. If you look at the pic of her main stalk from preforming LST there is almost 3 main stalks that will produce 3 extra xxl colas. I use plastic coated gardening wire and pink twin (be able to see it) been finding a bunch of millipedes squirming around in the catch pan after I water. I think they are good cause I know they are carnivores so plant is safe. Have to research if they are harmless or not. Going to ask our community and will get back.
The race is on this strain is powerhouse of production. These bud and cola site are going to start to explode. The XXL in the name says it all. I have gotten colas the size of a 24oz can. BCN Critical XXL from seed-stockers is a cheap super producing strain she will take up half the tent that’s why I staggered the grow for her to be last and have the room to grow out. I switched nutrients in the middle of the grow because I found a deal on Fox Farm Trio I could not pass up and I am so happy I did. When I grow multiple strains at once I use either OG Kush or BCN Critical as my control and they are a lot larger than they usually are at this point.
Grow is going spectacular I am l loving this Fox Farm Trio she is really starting to bud and I can see the colas forming. I had to add some Mosquito-Bits to my water for a couple of waterings. There were a couple fungus gnats floating around and I like better safe than sorry. I have found with these Smart-Pots watering can be tricky. Too much and you get a huge gnat bloom, so many places for them to crawl out or the soil get to dry to absorb water. I figured out watering I have to go slow. I use a watering can with a long spout and I water till the top is covered in water then let it absorb then repeat till I see it flowing from the bottom and not all the holes in the sides. This strain BCN Critical is a beast at week 9 and she has only been in bud for 10 days
Growing strong and stretching like mad. Continuing to LST. Feed her a big dose of nutrients she was looking pale. Those little stringy branches I brought to the middle are now on their way to becoming full colas. The other two plants will be ready in two weeks just in time for me to spread out and set her for her final budding positions.
In week 12 of her grow and she is growing huge. I have found that BCN Critical XXL is a beast. This strain is like it’s made for LST. I did have a problem with my OG Kush auto. She tuned hermaphrodite and I had to pull Zie and stuck Zie in a closet so none of my other plants go to seed, but It did open up room and I LSTed tge BCN and it practically filled in where the OG Kush left a hole. My girls are almost filling the tent again. With all this room the BCN will almost make up for OG turning hermy. I put her in the tub and flushed her again because I missed a couple of waterings and the soil started to lock up so I added a few drops of Dawn dish soap to loosen the soil. I have found that a drop or two of Dawn dish soap to soften the water and make it able to soak in to dry soil. The I hit her with a large dose of nutrients. It was unusually warm here in Western NY and I put her outside in the sun for 2 days and back in the tent at night it did wonders for her she broke out like 5 new cola sites. No matter what lights I use it’s no match for real sun.
