Well..here it goes. I’ve been growing outdoors for a decade and after returning to Colorado I thought things would continue as they had but was I wrong. So after doing a lot of research I have dialed in an indoor setup that works for me. Basically a complete AC Infinity 3x3 but I decided after months of research to go with the Viparspectra KS3000 for my light. I also have a mats hydro drip irrigation system that I will install as the plants get older. 5 gal fabric pots on top ac infinity auto watering bases that I will be using as runoff to waste trays. I was originally only going to grow one strain but I like a variety of smoke. Cheers and happy growing!
7 days above ground for all 4 ladies. Temp maintained between 70-75 degrees and humidity between 65%-70%. Just gave them their first feeding today and will be increasing light to 75% here in a day or two. So far so good. Happy Growing!!
Day 14 above ground and the girls are looking good. A couple showed cal-mag deficiency spotting in very early stage so I adjusted nutrients up but kept the cal-mag the same as my nutrients contain cal mag. Hot Damn is The tallest and Purple Lemonade is a little bit behind the others but still growing well. Will probably be putting my trellis Net in to do some LST. Hope everyone has a great week! Cheers and Happy growing
Day 21 above ground and the girls are doing great! Put them under the net two days ago and all of them seem to be doing ok with some training. Seem to have fixed whatever was bothering the Hot Damn! Plant and she is looking a lot better. Going to use the netting to pull main colas to the middle and hopefully keep a level canopy but we will see what happens when they stretch. Will be upping the nutrients with todays watering. May all your buds be huge. Cheers and happy growing!
Day 28 above ground and we are looking good. Still no signs of flowering but I feel it coming this next week. The Sweet Skunk and the Hot Damn! Ladies absolutely love the training from the Net while the other two didn’t put on as much growth on lower branches but still looking good. The Hot Damn! Is the largest of the four and the Purple Lemonade is the smallest and seems furthest from flowering. Had to do some defoliation as these thick indica leaves take up a ton of space so I clipped up to the 5th node. Will be turning the light on 100% this week as most of the plants have shown signs of pre flower. Will leave it at 22” from canopy and lower daily until about 12” from canopy. I will also be starting flowering nutrients once they show me they are ready which as mentioned earlier I believe will be this next week. Cheers and Happy Growing!
Girls are growing great and really filling up the 3x3. Really hoping we start to flower this week as I am running out of room. The smell from each strain make for a unique smell in the tent. The Sweet Skunk if offensively skunky and the Purple Lemonade really does smell like lemonade. I forgot to mention in previous weeks that I started using PureCrop1 week 3 as a pest, mold, mildew deterrent. Really excited to start posting bud pics. Hopefully next week I will have something better to look at. Cheers and Happy Growing
Day 42 and we are mostly in flower. Only Purple Lemonade isn’t flowering but she has been going at her own pace since the beginning. Switched to flowering nutrients and put lights at 12” above canopy. They definitely all stretched, almost 3 inches yesterday causing them to get a bit close to the light but it was resolved quickly. If they stretch much more I might have to put the exhaust fan outside of the tent. Sweet skunk showed some signs of nitrogen toxicity but it seemed to resolve its self after a couple waterings with the flower nutrients. Cheers and happy growing!
Day 49 above ground and all is well. Increased nutrients a bit and and did a little defoliation again because airflow and light penetration were suffering. Purple lemonade is showing up to the party this week and has almost caught up to the others, she also started flowering so roughly seems a week behind the others but still growing like a champ. All the other ladies are trucking along almost synchronized. Cheers and happy growing!
Well I have learned a valuable lesson.. 4 autos is too many for my tent. Will be running two next time so I can manage them a little better. Purple Lemonade showed up big time this week and is now as tall as most of her sisters. The Watermelon Zkittlez just doesn’t want to stop growing but I noticed some trichome production today so hopefully she will stop now. The other three are getting pretty frosty already. Just eyeing the calendar and waiting for cutting day. Cheers and happy growing!
Day 63 and looking VPD has been 1.3-1.5 and the girls are starting to stack up. Plan on going at least 80 days but from the looks probably more like 90. Sweet skunk and hot damn are super frosty but they were also the first to start flowering. Purple lemonade is definitely showing her colors and is pretty frosty for being the last to start flower. Watermelon Zkittlez just finally quit stretching and began putting on trichomes, she is by far the largest and will probably be the highest yielding but we will see. So close yet so far away. Cheers and happy growing!
Day 70 and we are getting closer. I had increased nutrients a bit last week and the girls showed rust spots so after testing ph I just increased cal mag. Next couple of days it got worse show I thoroughly flushed and came back with my original nutrient dose. Seems to have slowed but it’s only been a couple days since flush. VPD holding between 1.3 and 1.5. Definitely not powdery rust spots so maybe micro deficiencies? Plants are looking good. Sweet skunk and hot damn will definitely finish first. Excited to see them finish and start my next run. Cheers and happy growing!
