Welcome back guys,
This time bigger and different!
For this time I'm going back to the basics and i will be using 240 Amnesia Haze clones!
I start with the old 3 liter pots and they will be repotted into 7 liters, there was no space to have them in 11 liters in the upcomming weeks.
The grow Medium is special lightmix soil from the growshop( it has like ph 5.8-6 with ec 1-1,2 in it). Beneeth the soil i putted Expanded Clay so the water will go out more easily.
I have got 12 x 600 watt HID lamps in there, but for now I am just using a few.
I'm very busy at the moment so my growroom isn't finished yet. This is only half of it.
I had to start because those clones, which i have orderd, where deliverd lol. So there was no time left.
The lamps are high at the moment because the clones need time to root. If you have your lamps to low when just planted your clones, your clones will dry out and die.
They need to settle first for a few days.
Day 7:
All went well. I do have a ''bad'' corner. Thoose plants are strugling to develope.
Nothing mayor, it is normal with this many plants that some clones doesn't root and grow properly.
Next week i will decide which one I keep and which I throw away because I don't like to make two schedules, feeding buckets and more, just for a few weaker plants lol.
The lamps are at 60-70cm from the canatopy. Some preff it higher and only at that range when flowering.
But I want to have it like this because I want strong stems, more bushy plants instead of weak stems and long ugly anoying plants that produce fluffy buds.
These sativas love to stretch and grow big, I personally don't like that, so I try to force strong stem and bush growth.
Also increasing a bit in Aptus Regulator might force it as well.
I did sprayed them with Canna Cure as well, to prefend against all kinds of stuff and give them a little feeding via the leafs.
Currently still to busy in real life. Hopefully I finish my full grow room in the upcomming days, spread the plants and maybe even repot them into bigger ones.
The rooting and growing proces goes well. They must go a bit larger untill I force them into flowering.
See you guys next week.
Day 10:
They have been growing nicely. Beautifull green leafs, no deficiencies or stress.
I did some Defoliation and I'm planning to top some plants but not all of them since they make nice main colas as well.
Also nice roots so far, will let those grow for another 1-3 days before repotting them into 7L pots.
While doing that I will add some new clay for beneeth the pots to have a good run-off. I will add some mycorizza as well to improve the roots and
I will water them again with lots of Regulator(anti-stress) and Rhyzotonic( root stimilator).
Some days after that, they are ready to get pushed into flowering. Sativas like to grow twice and sometimes even more in size.
So the size which they are at the end of this week will be enough.
So at the end of this week you will see them being in 7L pots and in a bigger grow space under lots of lamps.
There are like 3-5 plants not growing nicely. Might have to kill them. I'm not going to waste time, energy, nutrients on those if they don't grow in size in a couple of days.
So might end up with just 235 plants.
Il update again at the end of this week.
Day 14:
I almost finished the rest of the grow room. I still need to adjust and replace the lamps some more and other things.
Did many defoliation below the plants. Thoose branches are never going to preduce nice and thick buds anyways. Such a waste of energy and nutrients.
Because of the removing of branches and leafs, They get a better airflow and better exposure of light as well.
So for now they look a little bit ugly haha and not so bushy anymore, but they will grow into fine looking ladies.
I kept 5 or 7 branches each plant and some bigger plants I even topped because I don't want them to stretch alot.
Another reason is that I want bigger stems. If other plants that didnt get topped, not improving stems I can still top them until the end of week 1 of flowering.
I'm putting them into flowering, by putting the lightschedule to 12hours of light and darkness. It will take a few days before they start preflowering.
The first buds will be seen in like 10-14 days.
Untill next week!
Day 21:
So we are currently in day 21, I finished all my work for my growroom.
They where pushed into flowering 5 days ago. They always need to settle first before even turning into that stage.
So my gues that in the end of the next week we will start to see the first indicators.
I still gave them veg nutrients this week since they are still in growing stage.
I did notice that many plants have weak stems and where sloppy underneeth. Didn't liked that, so in order to have thicker stems and branches I decided to top all the plants ( not showing in these picutues, i did that after making the pictures)
Topping your plants will create stronger thick stems and branches!
Also removed the first 1-2 internodes on each branch. I kept 5 or 7 branches each plant. I can't remember the ''science'' behind it but I have been told that many years ago by fellow OG Dutch growers and Family members.
Anyway It is importend to have uneven branches. So 5, 7 or even 9 but never 6 or 8.
Normaly I would have loved a huge main cola and it is known by many amnesia growers to not top the plants because they make beautifull thick main colas.
On the other hand, when having this much plants on each m2, it will create weak stems and branches.
I rather have strong plants with thick stems and branches to transport all nutrients properly and not breaking when having buds on them or having to mayor support them.
The leafs, stems and branches look fine to me. No stress or deficiencies. 1/3 of them like to drink thought which is a good thing but it really enjoying.
Now I have to weigh by lifting the pots which one needs more or less feedings lol. Instead of giving them all like 5 seconds of water.
Might show you guys my feeding ''barrel'' next week. It is a 250L one.
Untill next week.
Day 25:
They where forced into flowering almost a week ago. So ofcourse no signs of preflower yet but I gues
we might see the first signs in the end of this week, but surely next week.
Everything still looks nicely green, no stress in the stems or branches as well.
I did some run-offs. Ph 6-6.2 with like 1.6-1.8 ec which is good to me.
The soil has lots of grow nutrients in it, so I stopped giving them grow nutrients since today. I did feed them some flowering nutrients. Just 2ml Canna Terra Flores per liter, which is not much compaired to the week after (4-6ml per liter). To give them a little start.
Thats it for this week, might update again this week if I feel like too,
Untill next week!
At the end of last week, finally flower indicators started to show and these week it went more.
Day 32:
I sprayed them with Rhizotonic this week. This will be the last week for sprays. I don't like to spray my plants while having buds on it even thought it is organic.
Always make sure you spray from below the leafs. They will uptake it better and also spray some above. With the lights off.
Did some defoliation again and removed some lower internodes which will be crappy buds anyways.
Made a video of my feeding bucket as well, in case some of you wonder how I feed all those plants manually.
It is a pump with an gardenhose attached.
Thats it for this week, Until next week!
Day 39:
Things are going well. Did add some sticks to support some plants.
Because I put many plants per m2, stems and branches are weaker as when only having a few plants per m2. Those will have a nicer expose from the airfans.
Because of a compact cantopy, with lots of plants per m2, mine are''lazy'' and don't get much wind. So they didn't invest much in growing thick and having strong branches.
There will be no problem with that since they will support each other and I will be using many sticks.
- I have to adjust my fans again, they have to be putted higher.
- Some plants that I didn't top, stretched alot lol. Might have to find a spot for them together under the same lamp.
Might update again at the end of this week if I feel like too.
See y'all next week.
Day 53:
Things are going well. I always make pictures before doing work.
As you can see, down below it starts to absord the nutrients our of the leafs( picture 3). This is a good sign that I have not been overfeeding and the plants even want to have more nutrients!
I might raise my EC to 2-2.2 after all.
Yet I don't expect big buds from this grow, Just many buds which is alright to me as well. Hopefully they will grow compact.
They will start to fatten up soon tought.
Day 61:
For this week I needed to do some adjustments. Because of not having much time for 1.5-2 weeks and the beautifull weather I kind of lacked interest in them.
So I didn't notice that the fresh air flow didnt reached a corner with plants, which resulted in them having heat problems and therefore falling behind.
You can see this in the last 2 pictures. The buds stretched and didnt swell. It looks small and silly. Lets hope they will get better but I won't expect them to be as nice and thick as the others.
Since I grow alot of plants, I do not mind, it doesn't harm me.
I lifted a fan up and changed some plants location.
Day 67:
Increase in flower size phrase has been finished now they about to go into the mature phrase.
I will eighter flower them for 1 or 2 weeks depending on how it goes.
Might only give them water with enzymen, regulator and humic for now on, that Is basicly flushing ( ec 0.7 ).
or Ill just slightly feed them( ec 1.4-1.6) for a few times before I start flushing them( ec 0.7).
Again I took the pictures before doing work on them ( watering and defoliation), so they look a little sad.
I did notice that many of them got burned tips, indicating that they get more nutrients then needed.
It does make sence since In this week and weeks to come, they need less nutrients and having a harder time taking it.
Yet they do drink everything in 1.5-2 days, so they still do like to get nutes.
Thats all for this week.
Day 75:
Due some heat problems inside, some started to foxtail, some leafs got burned besides being yellowed which is normal in this phase.
This happend because the outside climate, which heats the walls of my growing space and warms the fresh inflate air. The temperature outside increased by 4-7 degrees.
So my room is no longer 25-28 degrees celcius, but now is like 30-31 which is a huge problem.
This is the negative side of having lots of heat lamps instead of cold LEDs.
Did add an airco unit with a easy fix. Might change it into a better fix but I don't have much time.
After the pictures, I started removing old leafs, fixing some plants and gave them water.
I don't like to take pictures afterwards, it doesn't show reality.
See you guys next week.
Day 81:
This week I have been flushing and will continu to until the end of this week.
With growing this many plants and due some heat problems at some spots, not all of the plants will be done at the same time.
I try to start cutting halve of all of my plants down and putting them upside down in another room.
The others I will keep flowering until they are done. Might be a week, could be even two LOL.
You like your big ass grows, I tip my hat to you.
Had a quick scan of your GC auto Diary. Had a friend look after 10 of mine and he managed to mess it up. Think ppl forget, it's not as easy as feeding nutes and sitting back. Especially if you're giving nutes on reg basis and not running full supersoil grows or whatever.
Idk how you do it. A big headache 😫.. looks like you got it rocking though. I see you are pushing more soil. Good idea. "Don't want the canna killer over again", lol....
Good luck with your grow(s).
@gottagrowsometime,
Thanks mate. Well it is much work when starting up but after that it only takes 1-2hours each 2-3 days.
The rewards are huge.
I'm going to update the same week again with new photos and videos.
Thanks for watching.
Hey mate! One thing that may help with the stem structure is silica, I can't speak first hand YET cause I only used it today for the first time on my cloned photos diary. But I have heard and seen great results. I picked up the NPK raw silica powder form. 22$ cdn treats up to 400gal of water! Goodluck can't wait to see this through!
@GanjaReaper, ya I topped all mine a few days back now and all have responded well. I top and then apply lst clips seems to work OK. I will look into regulator from aptus and see if it is available to me. Thanks mate
@@Billyandbarb, my Aptus regulator has that in it as well. A faster and also good solution is just topping your plants. It will give you a thicker stem and branches.
I would advice you to look into the Regulator from Aptus. It is good for many things.
@GanjaReaper,I always thought that it depends on which version you get i had sativas like Haze no1 by Nirvana go for 14 weeks and it was a psychedelic and smooth smoke. And as far as I know their version of Amnesia is recommended for 13- 14 weeks of flowering. Sorry to hear about your mishaps shit happens. Love following your grows 🙏
@yan402, When doing everything perfect, keep them small, without any delays, It can be done in 9 weeks of flowering.
I already did 7 weeks, 6 if you don't count the first week as a flowering one.
In like 1-2 weeks I know if they will be done in 9 weeks of flowering or I might do 10-11.
The thing is with Amnesia haze(sativa), when you overripe it, it gives a bad high, you will get tired instead of creative/talk-ish.
So many growers of amnesia i know, tend to flower it only 9 weeks and keep the plants short so they can be done in 9 weeks.
I kind of failed with that last one with halve of the plants I got because of lack of time/ interest.
I need to take in account that I do not have the time for them as I used to have. It happend with my last outside grow, the grow in the tent and this one. Thats why i'm planning to put
less plants in my rooms, it is painfull to do but I have too.
@Ju_Bps, Its oke, because of the heat they didn't got compact.
So hopefully they will smell and taste good, as for the beauty of it, they failed on that part.
Makes me wonder if I should get LEDs, by getting those, my rooms will be much colder which results in less problems and compact buds.
Currently they are still drying in a net and upside down branches and I can't dry all of them at the same time.
