Grow Questions

68 cm already and only 25cm of height available (with the actual scrog), I just flipped to 12/12. Should I keep on scrogging or top all the heads ? I don't really know where to top as I removed some of the bigger leaves on one side. Thx !

Oh dear, you're going to be in a world of hurt if you don't do something here... If you haven't flipped the lights and they're still in veg, you can go ahead and top them... you can also do some decent HST - just take a branch and bend it so it's actually almost broken... You also need to do some defoliation from what I can see... think about lollipopping these babies... take off everything under your scrog net... and USE that scrog net is you do some HST to hold the top of the branch down... Good luck - what monsters!!

Helps maturing but I wonder if buds are bigger. I used to put 3 extra lights 20 cm below canopy, leave many large leaves at the top and lollypop 30%. 30% is definitely not enough even with those 20w LEDS (50% is probably better). How do you use extra LEDS ? Where do you put them?

Interesting. No one else is putting lights half way down the plants as you are . You have done a great job of training plants and removing small shoots . I would say try what you are doing now . Looks interesting. The extra lights could be placed on the walls of the grow unit illuminating the sides of your plants . It's actually rather naive to state that one needs ultra powerful lights pushing lumens down from the top. The better you can spread the light to all of the developing flowers is the key to maximum flower development. Get a ten dollar light meter from Walmart. It measures lumens . Ignore the people who insist on the 500$ Par meters. Walmart light meter does the same job . Keep the lumens between 500 and 1000 lumens at the actual level of the developing flowers .

My friend that uses Biotabs nutrient as I do achieved a better taste than I did on our AMS Wedding cake seeds. Tastes a bit like mustard whereas his is tasty even though they were all dried just 2 weeks ago. My leaves were always dark green , Maybe adding PK wasn't necessary ?

I do really like Biotabs, but when you are using Biotabs you need to use the complete line with bacteria and fungi from them. When you want to flush properly on soil you need to flush for 2 weeks (with or without adding PK), this removes leftover nutrient buildup. When you do the flushing effectively it allows your plants to absorb any nutrients that are still in the soil. By flushing your cannabis plants 2 before harvest you can avoid a harsh and unsatisfying end-product. After drying you need to ensure that your buds dry till they got a 62% humidity level before curing them inside a jar or vacuum container. When you are using Boveda humidity control bags it is a lot easier to manage and a large bag will control the humidity fast and long. You want to cure for at least 2 weeks. But you will get the best result from 6 weeks curing.

The main branch is healthy and big but the others are quite small with droopy leaves and the buds are tiny. They didn't receive much light because they didn't grow much and they look bad. Any idea ? Probably not a light or watering problem.

Sadly. I'm nearly sure I read about this. I'm 80% its a disease. Look it up. I think I'm right though.

You mean root rot, yes? I'm sorry to hear about it. But how comes you got it?

@Maskedcucumber, But what does that have to do with root Rot?

@yan402, probably I messed with some branches at the beginning of flowering. I damaged them because they were too thin, I was trying to supercrop them but i overdid it and left them with wounds that got infected. Bending the branch works but damaging the branches in order for them to grow stronger was a bad idea.
