BENY_TRUBY AUTOFLOWERING PLANT CULTIVATION First, I placed the seeds in a glass of water with a few drops of hydrogen peroxide (2-3 ml/l) for 18 hours. Then I placed them between paper towels moistened with the same solution from the glass. After 48 hours between the paper towels, some of the seeds are already ready to be transferred to the substrate. Ambient temperature 20-24 ºC

I have a reflector and some TCL neon lights to put my autoflowering plants to grow after germination until they're ready to be on the balcony. But it doesn't work. Does anyone recommend a regular bulb that I can use until I get a new reflector? THANKS

Very good, look for the low consumption ones, the CFLs work really well for good growth.

BENY_TRUBY Complicated start to the grow. The CFL neon lamp I bought for the seedlings to grow until they can handle the balcony was broken, and I've been 7 days with shoddy lighting, getting light through a window with the help of a simple LED bulb until today (day 7) when I received a new lamp. They’re all growing well except for speedy boom, which seems a bit stunted. On to the next week!

BENY_TRUBY All the plants are developing little by little, there’s one that showed some signs of something with its wrinkled leaves, but they all keep moving forward. The temperatures under the light rise up to 26-28 degrees. The relative humidity is very low, less than 30. I'm starting to prepare mini greenhouses with cut plastic bottles to maintain humidity. I've transplanted 2 Automaria II and 1 White Berry into their final pots. One Automaria will stay under the lamp, the other 2 I'm taking out to the balcony today.

BENY_TRUBY At the beginning of this week, I transplanted the last two plants that were in the yogurt cup. The roots have stuck to the sides of the cup. I need to improve this for the next harvest. These 2 plants (white berry and automaria) have been under the CFL light until today when I took all the plants out to the balcony. Even so, I will continue to supplement both plants with artificial light after the sun goes down so they can keep the 16h light cycle. I added neem cake to the substrate to prevent pests. Yesterday I started watering with a growth fertilizer that I have open (guanokalong grow), although I have ordered a new one as well as a pH regulator for the watering, which is currently around 7.5. Overall, the plants look good, they are growing slowly, the weather is still not very good for the plants even though it hardly rains (and when it rains, I keep the plants inside, as well as at night). The plants that have only received artificial light are growing very little, but the buds are coming out of the nodes very well formed and are progressing. Speedy boom looks small. Automaria is the tallest plant (although one looks very weak). White berry seems to be the strongest strain so far.

BENY_TRUBY The week started with rain and little sun, growth slowed down, although I've always protected them from the rain to be able to fertilize during watering. After the rain, sunny days arrived but with a lot of sun and dry wind. Relative humidity 20% and winter temperatures. The plants spend the night inside the house and 2 of them receive 4 hours of supplementary artificial lighting. I've started using Biobizz Grow and an algae revitalizer (once in foliar spray and always with the watering). I have also used the root booster. On the first day of the week, I started LST on the 2 plants that receive artificial lighting (1 Auto Maria and 1 White Berry). I'm very surprised by their development compared to the others (even though they don't grow in height, they have a lot of leaves and you can see the branches developing). Yesterday, I started LST with the other White Berry.

BENY_TRUBY Not much new, the plants have really stretched this week. I keep expanding and readjusting the LST on the selected plants every 2 days or so. The difference between those that receive additional artificial light and those that don’t is getting bigger. The whiteberry with extra light and the automaria without extra light are the best plants at first glance. The nights are still cold, so I bring them inside during the dark hours and it hasn’t rained. 3 waterings with: 1 and 2. algamix + pro roots + bio roots 3. Just Bio bloom (1 ml/l) Foliar application with algamix once this week. Some plants have started to flower, others haven’t, with those having LST being the earliest.

BENY_TRUBY This week started off well, but the rain and bad weather forced me to keep the plants indoors for a full 3 days. Even so, the girls are still growing, and all of them have started flowering to varying degrees. Today the sun is back out with normal temperatures for the season. The difference in color between the plants that receive additional artificial light and those that only get sunlight is very noticeable, and I don't know why. Any ideas, family?

BENY_TRUBY This week I've been away for a few days, so I had to water them abundantly before leaving. The plants have been outdoors for 3 days, and when I returned, I kept them inside for 2 days due to the bad weather. Now the sun is back out. Some plants have been overwatered, so I've only watered (just with water) a few of them again. Today I gave them a new foliar application with the bio bizz alg-a-mix. In the next watering, we'll resume the flowering fertilizers. I also lightly defoliated the plants that receive additional artificial light since some leaves were touching and blocking each other. The plants look healthy, and we're moving forward.

BENY_TRUBY This week the height growth has slowed down a bit and all the plants are focusing on flowering. Besides the usual watering, I've planned to add calcium using a brew with eggshells. I've detected a possible deficiency in calcium and magnesium. I've also included neem powder in the watering and in a foliar application as a pest prevention measure.

BENY_TRUBY We’ve reached harvest time according to the seed bank information (9-10 weeks). However, the flowers have barely formed on most of the plants (except for those receiving additional artificial light). In the photos, you can see the trichomes of the auto whiteberry (its smell is spectacular). The smell of the other plant receiving artificial light (automaria II) is different, less intense but very unique; I hope its flowers keep growing. I’ve stopped giving fertilizers to the more developed plant, except for calmag, which I just received. From now on, this plant will only receive water. On the other hand, I’ve detected a leaf miner insect attack on the speedy boom plant. I’ve been combating them with defoliation and a foliar application of a natural insecticide from a regular gardening store that contains neem oil among other things. We can start thinking that the harvest is going to be very poor, and I dare say that the reason is the light hours, light intensity, and unfavorable temperatures. To top it off, the next few days are going to be rainy and cold for the season. Until two days ago, the weather had been quite good.

BENY_TRUBY Week with rain, little sun, and plants tucked indoors getting light through the window most of the time (except for those getting artificial light). I’ve added some fertilizers I received for my next grow. One whiteberry is almost ready for harvest. I think I’ll let it go another week. The next one would be an auto-flowering II, but it still has a ways to go. The rest are quite behind, I hope they pick up the pace with the rise in temperatures expected over the next few days. I’ve defoliated some yellow leaves, from the bottom up, on the plants closest to harvest.

BENY_TRUBY The blueberry is almost ready to be harvested. A week ago I did the root wash. The Automaria with additional artificial light is also getting close to its point. I'm going to proceed with the root wash soon. The rest of the plants aren't quite maturing, so I've been alternating water-only waterings with fertilized waterings. The temperatures and the weather are like in summer. Finally good conditions for growing.

BENY_TRUBY Second plant harvested (autoflowering). In the pictures, you can see the 2 plants cut so far (autoflowering, the most branched one is beautiful). The relative humidity in the drying room is 63% and the temperature is 21 degrees Celsius. The rest of the plants are still maturing. I've reduced all the fertilizers and will only water with water from now on. I hope to be able to cut soon because I won't be home for 2 weeks starting June 29, but the trichomes aren't turning amber yet.

BENY_TRUBY A lot of learning about growing throughout the process thanks to the diaries on GrowDiaries and its users, always sharing their ways of harvesting and answering questions. Conclusion for the next harvest: due to my space limitations, it will be necessary to start the grow in small pots under CFL lights for the first 2 weeks before moving to the outdoors and final pot.

These autos should have been ready 3 weeks ago according to the technical sheet, but they need more time. Now when I thought the buds were ready, I've seen that some plants have started to flower again, generating new white pistils. What should I do?

Hello! The times (weeks) that the banks indicate are under ideal conditions. Many environmental factors (especially outdoors) can delay or accelerate the harvest. They have a lot of new white pistils, so I would keep waiting. Are the buds compact? Compact buds are another sign that the end is near. If they are "fluffy," you still have a bit of time left. Another option to determine the harvest point: Can you access a microscope with 60 - 100 magnification? If you can, you should guide yourself by the color of the trichomes, rather than the color of the pistils. It depends on how you like it: uplifting or narcotic. 100% cloudy trichomes is the most active point (high), and it's the "ideal" harvest point. When amber-colored trichomes start to appear, the flower becomes more narcotic. 100% amber trichomes mean a very narcotic plant. It's up to your choice of the effect you want, to harvest earlier or later. Additionally, you can practice progressive harvesting, and harvest those buds that are at the ripeness stage you desire. Happy smoking!

I have some plants hanging to dry. However, when I should start the curing process in airtight jars, I'm going on vacation and won't be home for 2 weeks to open the jars once a day. I don't know how to manage and store my weed during my absence.

Hello BENY_TRUBY! A good option is to cure in "raw" cardboard boxes. Brown boxes without ink on the inside Cardboard has the property of absorbing and releasing moisture very well, so it's a great option when you can't "burp" the glass jars daily. Use cardboard boxes the size of a shoebox and fill them to a maximum of one-third of their capacity, making sure the buds and branches aren’t packed tightly, so that air can circulate properly between the pieces. Try wetting a cardboard box and letting it dry in the air. You'll see that its characteristics will be the same once it dries. Another option that has been mentioned is glass jars with humidity control packs (like "Boveda"), but you should have a good drying process beforehand to avoid excess moisture and NOT fill the jar more than 50 percent with the buds without them being packed together to promote minimal air circulation even if you don't burp. Let us know what you decide to do and how it turns out after your vacation! Good smokes!

I was away from home for a week after doing a root wash on these plants that I thought I would harvest in 2 days. When I got back, I found them infested with aphids. I cut off the big leaves that were full of this pest, but there are still some near the buds... solution?

Harvest now. Then look up bud washing. You'll get rid of 90-100% them this way. You should be doing this from growing outside anyways. The dirt that's in outside weed is crazy

BENY_TRUBY I've been away this week (updating late). I did a root wash a week ago, left them on the balcony to finish maturing with the intention of cutting in 2 days from today, but upon returning I've seen that the plants are full of aphids. The weather has been very hot and humid. I've removed the most infected leaves with aphids, and I plan to manually remove what I can from the flowers (I'm waiting for the opinion of someone with more experience). Wish me luck!!!

The 4-star rating and the rest of the incomplete info pending to be updated after curing and drying. The 4 is for having been a dwarf plant. It might improve when I try it... I have already cut all the plants, the last ones I gave a spray of water with soap as suggested in the forum, I did it with a pressure hose and then a wash of buds. They have been hung up to dry. The rest of the harvest needs to be updated. For now, the weed is good enough but the yields are low. 12,12,18,14 grams and things like that.. Thanks to everyone in the forum for sharing and helping, it has been a real pleasure. I haven't harvested much but I have learned a lot. Yay!!!! 🤘🤪

@takecua, hello African brother! Thank you very much for the good wishes. I hope you stick around, I'll post an update in a few days, it's my first time doing LST and it surprises me more every day. The way it opens up, such beautiful shapes… By the way, 2 things: 1- I found the CFL neon lights, I use them to give supplemental light to my 2 best plants so they get about 16 hours of light in total. I have ones for growth, which I'm using for now, and for flowering, although I don't know when I should switch to using them. You can really see the difference with the rest. 2- I've seen your diaries and I wonder how you manage to see the trichomes magnified so well. Could you tell me? Thanks and happy smokes!

@BENY_TRUBY, We're sorry to hear you had that setback "BENY_TRUBY" 🙏 As an emergency lifeline, you can use almost any bulb/LED you have at home or that you can use in a lamp (for example). Try to get it under a quality lamp as soon as possible, and if all else fails, try germinating new seeds 🙌 If the temperature is low indoors where the seedling is growing, you could move it closer to any heating device you have available. The advantage you have in this case is that since it's a seedling, you can place it almost anywhere. We recommend keeping the appropriate distance from the light and the heating device (the thermo-hygrometer could "fool" you by a few degrees, and at this moment, as you know, is when the plant is most vulnerable). From the Kannabia team, we send you our best wishes and hope you can move forward in good health 🍀 If you need anything else, we're here to support you, don't hesitate to reach out. Kannabia Team 🧡
