We chose the 2 Gypsy Kush plants we're going to document for this grow..The seedlings of this strain were much smaller than any of the others in the tent but uniformly small next to each other .. we've up-potted everyone to square 3 gal pots for a total of 8 plants..we wanted to fill the tent to get an idea of how well this light performs on the outer edges.. The Gypsy Kush seedlings are much smaller than the rest but both look identical with a unique structure.. The Solux350 is kicking ass, we have the same strain set growing under a Bridgelux/Osram LED, same pot size, media etc.. and plants growing under the Solux are definitely bigger (last pic).. The new tops are already a few inches long...the newest leaves on 1 plant looks a little withered, we haven't seen any thrips but it looks just like their mark, we'll give it a soap spray if it continues (i don't like using the stuff)..the other Gypsy Kush is a little overfed, no "clawing" yet but very dark fans, besides this tons of new growth...we'll put these on water only until we're ready to start a flowering regiment. These plants are loving the Solux350..we have it hung at the recommended 24" @75% power and node spacing looks awesome.. we'll prob keep the light at 75% through the flowering stretch and finish the remainder at full power.. not too much else to report about 1 more week before flower!! The light is currently at 75%, we'll keep it here until their stretch is over and finish the grow at 100%... Things are going great. We received out long overdue calmag and were sure to give everyone a full dose. These girls are looking so much happier since getting some overdue calmag.. Buds have grown a ton since last week and I'm a huge fan of the spacing.. Both the Gypsy-Kush plants look identical.. we cleaned the base of new growth on all plants and removed a few more large fans from around the tops.. Light penetration couldn't be better... The Solux350 is kicking ass! Its incredible how something so small (and at 75%) can light up an entire 4x4 .. these plants are getting plenty of light and at 14".. not too much else to report its been a stellar week! These girls are doing great, they look to be much higher yeilding than most other Kush varieties we've grown.. we did our last round of defoliation for all plants and removed all small branches from the lower 1/3 on each.. we're still iving them a fair ammount of calmag with each watering but intend on going back to our regular regiment.. the smell is mild atm but buds are starting to get really frosty.. The Solux350 is doing a far better job than we had initially expected, at just 75% power and being the size of a shoebox is lighting up an entire 4x4 wall to wall..it really is an incredible piece of tech.. We cut back on the calmag last week and will be putting everyone on a water only diet at the end of this week. This was a very easy strain, they practically grew themselves besides a little calmag deficiency early on there was no issues whatsoever.. Of the 3 Kannabia strains we grew in this tent, these were the strongest in terms of effects..she's definitely an evening smoke... It smells very sweet, almost like candy.. Unfortunately we didn't grab any clones but this is a strain we'll definitely be growing again!
