9.8.18 I am really amazed by this strain so far. She's growing at such a fast pace and looks healthy. I watching and listening to her...being very patient to see what she needs and when.
9.10.18 Had to cut off the top of the cup to make way for the leaves. The soil is almost dry and will once again water with plain PH'd water around the edge of the cup to try and promote root development.
9.12.18 Transplanted tonight into a 3 gallon pot. Tried out a new transplant method I saw somewhere online (sorry I cant remember who). It worked perfectly. The plant was watered just prior to transplant and the pot was prewet earlier, drained and placed in the tent to adjust soil temp.
I was honestly shocked at the root development for a plant who is just 12 days old.
9.13.18 Light water and feed...about 800ml of nutes.
9.15.18 No shock or slow down with transplant. Took first feeding well. The start of week 3.
9/16/18 Still haven't had to water the plant. The pot is still heavy and the plant looks like it needs nothing at the present. She continues to astound me as to needing nothing so far.
9/19/18 Almost 3 weeks into veg and the plant is growing itself right now. Its grown a half inch so far this week. The pot is pretty light but I would like to wait until I see the first sign of wilting to establish the baseline for days between water. I tried this toward the middle of my first grow and it worked well to overcome my tendency to overwater.
9/20/18 Looking at the plant tonight I noticed a lower branch making a serious run at the main cola. Debating removing a fan leaf to get that branch some light.
9/21/18. Still haven't watered her. That lower branch keeps growing so I tucked a few larger fan leaves to give it more light. Has anyone seen this?
9/26/18. Literally haven't done a single thing to this plant since the last update. No water, no nutes.
I did take a tiny clone off the bottom of the plant. its rooting now and looks like its going to make it.
9/27/18 Pot finally dry. Watered today 1/2 gallon. 2 ml Rhino. 2 ml Cal-Mag, .5 tsp Wholly Mackerel, .25 tsp Kelp Me Kelp You. Considering this a water since the nutrients are more for soil although the fish does have nutes. I'm thinking of considering the use of Grow Big or Tiger Bloom as a "feed." Please someone let me know if I should remove the fish on these days. will it cause a nute issue?
9/28/18 Four weeks in and Im blown away by this plant. After getting some food she is totally cranking new veg and the shoots are catching up.
Looks like the nute regimen is pretty dialed in for now.
9/30/18. She still looks great. No burn and no deficiencies so far. I fed her a liter and a half . The pot is now heavy but not totally soaked. I did not water to runoff but the lower portion of the pot is wet. I don't like soaking the pots because the bottoms take ay too long to totally dry and I have had issues watering schedules.
10/5/18 Still doing perfect with minimal attention. Bumped up the amount of Grow Big last feeding with no ill effect.
Looking ahead and having weeks before the auto is done I didn't know how to face the upcoming issue of vertical space. Shes too big to LST and I did not want to top her because shes doing incredibly well and want to see what she will produce. I rigged up a scrog contained within the bucket. I did a mod years ago to a smoker which gave me the idea in the middle of the night. I might change out the screen itself since it was just what I had on hand but will see how it works.. The openings are 2.5" so it should suit my needs. I have it set at 8 inches above soil but it is fully adjustable up and down by the nuts on the threaded rod.
I plan on keeping the main stem under the screen to induce the plant to keep producing shoots and fill the area. Im pretty excited about trying this and Stay Tuned.
10/6/18 Watered approx. 1.5 liters very slowly just until runoff. Watering consisted of .5 tsp Wholly Mackerel, .25 Kelp Me Kelp You, 2 ml Rhino and 2 ml Cal-Mag.
Raised the screen to 9.5 inches. Pot is light and leaves are starting to sag. Will probably water tomorrow.
10/10/18 Fed 2 liters. Starting to try to bend for the scrog. This is my first attempt and having not topped the plant the main stem is proving to be a pain. Next time I would definitely to simply for making my life easier.
10/16/18 Watered plain PH'd to 6.5 with 2ml CM and 2ml Rhino. She was droopy and took about 2 l of water.
A very calm week for this plant. It seems like she was getting accustomed to the screen.
10/26/18 Main stem finally through the screen. Even though I read and watched how to's I cant rap my head around what to do with an untopped plant. The stem is so thick and stiff I zip tied it to the top of the screen to start a bend. I don't like it on top and will move it under the screen.
11/2/18. I ended up scrapping the tile down on top because I felt the growth of the main stem was being impeded by working the plant that way. I ended up dragging the top under the screen and everything seems to be taking off again. When pulling new growth through the top of the screen to encourage vertical before dragging under and spreading out once again
I keep feeling the plan the same nutrients Every time it gets watered. There is no burn and no stress shown by the plant and if anything could really use some defoliation once everything hits the top side.
@iHateSativa, Great to hear on both accounts. I definitely would like to clone her if possible but space is limited with only one tent. I do have several space buckets I could use.
I currently have a plant from my last grow that I took two weeks into flower, rooted and flipped to veg. Left her outside when I went away recently and she started to flip back to flower again. She again went under 24. She is huge and pumping out shoots and veg everywhere. Figure I basically megacropped her 1 1/2 times.
@bobo420, Thanks. This is my second grow but my first with non-bag seed and some idea of what I'm doing.
Fist grow was bag seed and started in space buckets and then later into the current setup.
I am having issues with the other seeds sprouting but am being patient. I germinated them in water then paper towel. The seeds cracked and were put in soil 6 days ago with moisture and a dome.
It would be great if the heat wave would break...nothing like keeping temps in check when its 100+ degrees outside.
@bobo420, Thanks Bono. What should I do with her? Let her go au natural or top and LST?
I kind of screwed up because I still have 7 weeks on the auto before I can flip to 12/12. Plus I have 4 clones rooting.
I might have to top and train to slow her down a bit.
