Another strain from Royal Queen Seeds, this one is their strongest auto, so this baby has big shoes to fill.
It took this girl four days to come out of the shell and she looks strong and healthy.
Girl is doing pretty good, she develops nice big, green and juicy leaves, and side branches that I already broke one of😭 while performing LST. Had to cut that shit off😥 and count my losses. It was still pretty small, so not a great tragedy😞 still hurts tho.
Things are looking pretty good, girl is getting bigger every day, she's a very bushy plant, gotta keep doing LST and some light defoliation.
No signs of flowering yet.
This plant became pretty big, she already takes most of the area, but still hasn't flowered. I think I saw few pre-flower pistils, so hopefully next week she can start flowering proper.
Meanwhile I manage the massive amount of leaves she has, gotta defol every few days.
As expected, she has started transition to flower. So far there's been no problems growing this plant, she looks amazing and there's already a noticeable scent.
The stretching phase is over and the colas are filling in nicely.
I noticed brown spots last week on some of the leaves, also the top parts are turning a bit yellowish, might be a slight pH imbalance.
I think things are on the right track. I have managed to increase pH, it looks like she's absorbing nutes better now, judging by the runoff EC. I've also started adding CalMag with every watering (instead of 1/3)
The colas are starting to gain some mass and the smell is getting stronger, smells a bit minty lol😅
Looks like she still needs a bit more time, there's about 5-10% amber trichomes and 90-95% brown pistils.
I'm not adding any more nutes and gradually decreased light cycle to 14/10.
This lady is taking her time. There hasn't been much change since last week when it comes to trichome ratio, the amber ones are still pretty rare in most parts, but she is mostly ready. I will have to chop her this week anyway, since I've been flushing her for 2 weeks now, although there's still some nutes in the soil, but I'm also tired of waiting. She's also on the 12-12 light cycle now, not sure how it will affect the ripening process, but at least the bills will be lower.
Once again, RQS does not dissapoint. This strain can produce beautiful specimens, with long, christmas tree shaped colas. It has a pleasant fragrance of mostly citrus and herbal aromas. It's a late bloomer, at least in my case, but I think the wait will be worth it.
Total grow time: 104 days (from planting the seed to harvest)
The yields are satisfying, the buds are nice and dense, although there was also some amount of airy buds on the lower parts of the plant (not a lot)
Nice looking flowers brother...I would check your PH meter, I calibrate mine at minimum at the beginning and end of each grow, but they have a tendency to get out of whack every couple months, especially if you forget to cap it for a few hours. Good luck brother!
@Canna96,thx, but I think it's fine, I always check it periodically, or when the reading seem off, but it always turns out its fine. I also add few drops of KCl solution to cap, it conserves the electrode.
