Apologies for the late update as I've been very busy lately. These ladies have completed their stretch and are now putting most of their energy into bud production. Very nice trichome production as well. They're really starting to smell now. It's a very pleasant sweet smell that I'm sure will become more complex later in flower. On day 42 I did a major defoliation below the net and also gave them their 2nd top dress of Gaia Green All Purpose 4-4-4 and Power Bloom 2-8-4. I did 6tbsp of 2-8-4 and 2tbsp of 4-4-4. Every time I top dress I also add 2 cups of fresh soil and 1 cup of worm castings, rather than scratching it into the old soil. Day 45 did some light defoliation above the net to get more light to all the tops. I've pretty much been treating these like photoperiods and they are easily handling anything I've thrown at them. Lowered the humidity to 65% as I feel the VPD needed to be a little higher. Pics taken 47 days from sprout.

Looks great! I'm also growing this and on week 5 and have some light burn on my tips, any idea what ppfd you are at?

TheDonOfNYcommented2 years ago
@Legibly1200, Thanks for commenting! The tallest center cola was only 8 inches from the light and was sitting at nearly 1400ppfd with the low corners at 900. I could tell it was definitely light stress as only the colas in the center hotspot were showing symptoms. I raised the light back to 18 inches and reduced the overall par to 800-1200 and they seem to be doing better. Keep in mind I'm running CO2 or these numbers would have completely destroyed my plants. Without CO2 I'd recommend staying between 600-800 ppfd. This is also my first time doing 20/4 hours light schedule which is definitely raising my DLI. When you say you have light burn on tips, that can also be from slightly too much nutrients or even the roots hitting a dry spot in the media. Light burn will encompass the whole leaf edge/margins before completely frying the entire leaf. You might just have some tip burn which isn't usually related to light intensity.

Looking good, saw another dude growing these and it looks like he has the humidity of the Sahara. It was hard to tell if he had a weed plant or some spinach/raisin hybrid at week 2.

I hear you re Epsom salts as I too use it as a regular supplement. Works like a champ for magnesium and sulfur. Nice job 👍🏽
