Hello 2023 OUTDOOR SEASON! Thought I would start this diary showing what preparations we have gone into this year for this outdoor grow and what different methods are being used. So last year a friend came to me and said he did some outdoor the year before and they worked out well so I thought why not get some plants out and try get some free, organic, natural smoke so that’s what we did. Last years was a great year to which we started late on as previous spot got found and we still managed to make some monsters. So this year we are going all out, we have put a lot of hours into this years spots already. When we found this spot it was a little boggy so we knew we had to get some sort of base that will allow water drainage as well as keep the pots well off the ground. Luckily for us the railway men been and cut all the trees down so we found our base. We are lucky this year to find a spot that has a water source, last year was a lot of carrying water in back packs and all sorts well this time it’s easy for us which is a bonus. We have to bring few bags soil down closer to time of planting but we found a lot of pots and soil on the way to spot which was a bonus. We’ve added some fish blood and bone to it and turned it in. Also will be getting some chicken manure pellets to add in as a slow release then will just add biobizz nutes as the plants need. We have many pots down ready including 8L to 20L for the autos, fems will be going in ground. Just got another few beds to make for the autos to sit on in another spot then pretty much most of the work done. Got 8 50L sacks soil to bring down as well as some other old soil which can be mixed together. Got to set off few more fems to mother out for cuttings, will keep updating with how things are going in the outdoor spots as well as how the mothering plants are doing in the tent. Can’t wait to get this season to get on the road, so please leave a like maybe a follow and I certainly will do the same back. Please check out my other diaries and keep growing!! Also just a heads up there is going to be plenty of diaries happening this year on the outdoor so keep your eyes pealed! Happy growing! 🌱

So this week we got down to the spot and put up the 1st greenhouse for our seedling to go in, we potted 5 plants up at the start of week now left with 3 as mice got in and had a field day in the soil. Had to do some upgrades to keep them out and so far working. Next week hopefully get the 5 tier green house down for more seedlings. This one should be better as keeps them well off the ground and multiple tiers for different stages of growth then eventually they will go out into the full outdoors. Set few more seeds off this week so will give them 2 well indoor then pot them up n get them in green house. Just need to get more soil down ready for when potting up. Will be starting a raised bed in a different spot for the fems then that’s done. So far so good!! Happy growing🌱

So this week we just made a few adjustments to the greenhouse, we had few mice get in and mess up few plants we lost 2 but the others pulled through it. Had to dig it out little at base and cover all the edges where anything could get under the cover and seems to have worked so far nothing been in since the first few days. Will be putting up a second greenhouse for more plants to go in this week, will see how these girls cope, wait few weeks and set a load off. The cutting in the tent is coming along nicely, her side branches have tripled in length since last week she’s took well to her new pot for now. Took a cutting off her, hopefully it roots then can grow her out few weeks and get her put in ground at spot. All doing well so far it’s early on the year but things are already happening. Happy growing🌱

So this week we set up new small greenhouse to house a few plants for few weeks before they go out. Took some cuttings from the mothering bulk, veg them inside few weeks then get them out. Will be going down next few days to pot these 3 autos up, it’s early on in year but why not start early and see what they do, there surviving that’s the main thing. Looking forward to the summer months and sparkling buds! Happy growing 🌱

So managed to build a bed in this boggy area this week, potted 4 cuts up out of greenhouse, Should show some good growth getting more light there than other spots. Got few autos now what’s hit early flower. Also found another good spot to get some plants out , roughly 4 mile bike ride and need to get some soil out there as ground is good enough for plants to go in. Hopefully get some out out there this coming week. Happy growing 🌱

So it’s been a busy week, managed to get the cuttings out to the new spot and some soil, been abit of hard work on the bike with bags soil on bars and plants in backpack. Managed to clear an area and get 5 planted in, found another 1 or 2 decent spots close to this place so maybe few autos could go there. Got few autos just starting to flower now which has veged from April time didn’t get the best start with mice digging in the soil and messing the roots up but they managed to pull through abit. Got abit more work to be done on the swamp bed and clear some small trees which is blocking light later in the day. Got to dig a hole at the new spot to collect any water when it rains as there is no water source close by. Plenty to be done on all the spots so it’s busy, busy, busy! Check out my other outdoor diaries that’s happening and keep your eyes out for more coming this year! Happy growing! 🌱

So this week we have more autos going into flower, gave them all a good water with some bloom. Few more plants that still have at least another week of veg, more to go down in another few weeks. Finally got the bulk potted up which should do her till the end, gave the root ball and good prune and gave a good mix of fish and bone meal and some crushed meal worms. All doing pretty well in this spot first year trying it, still needs plenty of work but hopefully it’s a spot to work with the next few seasons. That’s all this week and happy growing 🌱

Another good week, all showing plenty of growth! Maybe another few week and first autos will be down. Many more to get down just giving them a week or 2 indoors. The 2 bulks that got potted up has shot up and look so healthy! The 4 fems on the swampy bit have shot up too, abit of struggle getting water to them but managing so far. Had a good rain yesturday so hopefully won’t need a water for another few days. All doing well, happy growing 🌱

This week there’s many plants in flower, maybe another week or 2 for some of them to finish, some lovely smells coming off them! If they had the full sun light all day they would be some big dense autoflowers, just this spot is a first for us and it’s turning into abit of a jungle but trying to keep up with it. Gave the littler ones some root juice to help with early start, the rest has had some bloom. These plants would’ve been alot better if was in other spot with the mixed fems but got some to put out there so be good to compare. Checked for any rot and they were all clear so far so will keep checking in the next week or so , don’t want them to get ruined in there last weeks. The bulk got a big hair cut, took tops off all heads and super cropped all heads and gave a good defo along with lolly pop , she’s plenty on her to pull back, next week or so she will be back bushing out. That’s all this week, happy growing 🌱

A decent week this week, chopped 2 autos that were pretty much done, had start of rot on a bottom branch so decided to chop them. The sticky mango got the chop also as showed some signs of rot on bits so she came down. The bulk has grown back nicely after she got cut back a lot, this will improve air flow and she’s less likley to get any rot early on in flower, no doubt she will double in size by time she start flower. Gave them all a good dose of grow what arnt in flower and the flowering plants got some grow and bloom. Having to keep eye on the triple g and strawberry cheesecake as these don’t have long and don’t want any rot setting into them so maybe a week or so left for them. That’s all this week, happy growing 🌱

Just tried a bit so far what’s dried enough and it has a earthy taste to it but the smell is quite fruity. It is a strong smoke really pleased with the thc production on this plant and she’s super sticky to touch. Will be putting it in jar to cure and get that better smoke and taste come through.

This plant was first put out first week of April so temps were still low and cold nights still about. She got stressed a lot at the start from mice digging in pots, but she bounced back once was out of greenhouse. She grew really well producing good side branches and nice main top, buds were really frosty on look and sticky on touch. Got another one out so see if she’s a similar structure, great strain for outdoors here in the uk, will certainly be doing her again next year. Happy growing 🌱

This plant started her life around end of April when the weather was still cool and wet. She’s done well to say she’s not had the sun they deserve. Gave off a gorgeous smell and buds really sticky to touch. Will certainly do another but give her full sun, would be definitely better buds and a lot more inner nodes. Happy growing 🌱

Another week gone, few autos got the chop due to weather being crap and didn’t want to risk any mould developing. The weather has took a turn for worse, don’t get me wrong it’s still warm but no sun showing itself from behind the clouds, and had some rain. Checked on the plants on the swampy platform and they had shop up like Christmas trees, will need to get down and give them abit of training. We stuck 2 autos on the platform too to see what they do. The 2 bulk are looking strong and great structure on them. That’s all this week, happy growing 🌱

This girl didn’t bud up as much as would’ve liked but still got some bits of her and some beautiful colours. Had a little smoke when finished trimming up and got a sweet taste but then afterwards some earthy taste. The quality is there just not quantity, will do this girl outdoors again but find a better spot for her. Lovely smoke!! 🌱

This plant grew to a god size, didn’t get great bud development but still some on her. Had some beautiful colours of a dark purple with hints of blue in too. This plant didn’t receive the light it needed to bud up better and maybe even a little bigger. Will certainly do this strain again. That’s all happy growing 🌱

So this week we decided to move the plants to a better spot with more light and better air flow, noticed that the autos that flowers at this spot didn’t do very well so moved these fems to a more open place here they will get full sun all day(when it’s out) pre dug holes, but with all rain we’ve had the ground has just gilded the water so few mins after holes been dug they filled with water, will leave them few days see if it drains then just simply put the pot into the ground, will take no time to grow through the fabric pot. Will have another 4 plants to bring into this spot, just trickier than planned as these girls are all over 4ft tall and bushes out and have to cross over a road and get many walkers so it’s a job for the night. That’s all this week happy growing 🌱

So this strain is really nice smoke, gives off some sweet taste on inhale and exhale leaves abit of a creamy taste. To me this is a day smoke not very hard hitting just gives a mellow feeling that you could chill out with or crack on with any small project. I believe I did take this plant a little early but we just had consistent rain and didn’t want her to get wasted. Will certainly be doing this plant again in the future! Well done tastebudz!!

So this plant grew huge, was put in the ground at around 3 weeks old and she took of from there. I topped it around a week after she went in ground and believe it was the perfect time as all side branches shit up as well as the 2 main heads. Biggest auto I’ve done to date including any indoor. She didn’t get the attention it deserved and not much feed went into this plant she just lived of the soil and rain. Will certainly try this strain again. Well done to tastebudz for this amazing auto and big thank you to them for letting me try there strains! Happy growing🌱

Sorry been few week since update but had problems with phones so I’ve missed out on few weeks of pictures👎 But I’ve managed to get down to the plants today and give a good water with some grow. All plants in need of a little defo, few dead leaves to take off and could do with thining out abit for air flow to reduce that risk of mould. Had 1 last auto left finishing off in this spot, it’s the purple haze! She looks and smells delicious, so I’ve chopped her so will hang to dry. All looking good shouldn’t be long till see some pistols coming out. That’s all this week happy growing! 🌱

Some really nice frosty buds, not dense but still got a nice shape to the buds. Not very airy like some. The buds glisten in the sun and packs a real smell. Really sweet and sour smell comes off her , so sticky to the touch! Only tried a tester but it’s a really nice smoke, gives you a fruity taste and after it’s sour and minty. Really nice smoke would smoke in the day as it makes you wanna get up and do stuff, great in a morning to get your day started! 🌟🌱

So this plant went out on the bed with the big fems and was terrible weather the start of her life. Put a cage round her and didn’t check for 2 weeks and got stunted as she’d grew up into the cage so wipped it off and moved her out into her own space in more sun. This girl just got minimal treatment with next to nothing with feed and just a plain water now and again. The soil was recycled from previous grow and was mostly coco , which I was cautious at first for drying up but suprised me. Went to check the fems and noticed she’d gone a dark purple and was looking really nice frosty buds so took her before any mould set in. Let me tel you on way home it definitely left a stench behind. Amazing colour and smell she’s certainly a winner for this years harvests. Will be doing this strain more next year she is really resistant to mould which is a bonus! Like to say big thanks to WEEDSEEDSEXPRESS for supplying these seeds! Happy growing 🌱

@Shooey,yes buddy there’s many challenges over here, still got many foliage to clear out, some small trees to get down, last year was pretty much same kind of area just takes some time to get it cleared. Plants not going in ground/on ground this part gonna keep them raised up best can for air flow. Yeah the traps have come in handy, started with mice digging in the pots so was stunting them, there’s a field next to woods so they come off fields into woods when farmers messing about, we will make it work haha👍🤞🏻

@Gorrilla420, interesting to see what it’s like for you over there mate,, looks challenging for sure. Lots of moss all over everything and muddy ground, high moisture area. Mouse traps! I haven’t had them before 😄 Lots of high trees around filtering the sun. Definitely takes some navigation to get em up and running. Good stuff mate
