Mango Smile-Encore

Week #1-Mar 28-Apr 3 3/28-Journey begins. Week 1 nute mix is 5.91 ph and 430 ppm. 3/30-So far so good. 4/3-First week is in the books and everything went well. Seedling is looking healthy. Next week we'll turn up the nutes a bit and monitor progress

Week #2-Apr 4-Apr 10 4/4-Increased nute load and added Rhino Skin and Sensizym 4/8-Started first bit of LST 4/10-First 2 weeks have gone great. Plant is looking healthy and doubled in height and size. Increased nute load the last 2 days which seems to be going well. Next week I'll top her and start some LST.

Week #3-Apr 11-Apr 17 4/11-One day after fim plant seems to be responding well with no visible signs of trauma 4/12-New growth happening at fim cut. Plant still looks very healthy so I increased nute load a bit. 4/15-The Mango has handled the fimming effortlessly and continues to fill out. Up to 5.5 inches. Runoffs have been right on target at 5.3/820 4/17-First 3 weeks have been very smooth. Moved her to the main tent. I'll be interested to see if the 'fimming' will delay pre-flower a bit. Last Mango Smile I topped and it started pre-flowering week 5.

Week #4-Apr 18-Apr 24 4/18-Starting to stretch. Up to 8 inches now. 4/22-I've done some LST to encourage wide flat canopy which is starting to shape up. Early signs of pre-flower starting. Next week I'll shift to early flowering nute schedule. Looking good so far! 4/24-First 4 weeks has been right to plan. Looking healthy. Pre-flowering is starting.

Week #5-Apr 25-May 1 4/25-Switched to flower nutes now. Did some light trimming under the canopy. 4/29-Pre-flower is kicking in with first signs of white pistils. Plant starting to stretch. Up to 13.5 inches high even with heavy LST to branches for even canopy. 5/2-Another good week of growth. Plant is looking healthy. Continuing LST to spread the branches and the plant is handling it like a champ. Will up the nute load next week.

Week #6-May 3 to May 9 5/5-Plant is really starting to stretch now. Up to 19 inches high. First flowers are starting to take shape and early signs of stacking. Runoffs are showing PPM's slightly below inputs which means she's gobbling up the nute load. She's looking incredibly healthy at this point. 5/6-Up to almost 21 inches now. Stretching like crazy. Trimmed a few leaves off to get more light into the buds. Continuing to gently pull the main branches apart to get light. Canopy has got a nice even and open look now. Runoff right on target this morning. 5/9-Plant really stretched big this week. Started increased nutes mid week with no ill effects. She is starting to really suck up the water now (almost 1 gal per day). Lots of new bud sites popping up.

Week #7-May 10 to May 16 5/10-Plant grew another 2 inches in one day. Lots of new bud sites. Increased nute load and still not even a single yellow tip. At the halfway mark this plant is looking very good. 5/11-Added some support sticks and tied branches to them to open the canopy up to more light. Runoff numbers are spot on with inputs. 5/13-Up to 29 inches now. Starting to see some frosty resin appearing on leaves. Widening out the canopy is getting good light down to mid level buds which I hope will add to yield without sacrificing potency. 5/16-7 weeks now and plant is looking great. Lots of bud sites around 8 big colas. Getting frostier and more pungent.

Week #8-May 17 to May 23 5/21-RO water only today. Plant is looking terrific. Getting very frosty. Starting to add on some density. Mid level buds are doing great as well. First time I grew Mango I harvested around 75 days. I'm thinking this baby has another 3-4 weeks at least. 5/23-End of 8 weeks and the plant is really thriving. Lots of frost. Pistils are starting to turn amber even in the middle of the plant. Buds continue to get more dense and pack on weight. Next week I'll change the nute mix a bit and add Overdrive to kick things up a notch.

Week #9-May 24 to May 30 5/24-Added Overdrive to the nute mix 5/26-Still looking good. Runoffs numbers were higher than input so I did a little mini-flush to bring them in line. 5/27-Clipped a piece of bud from top and put under the microscope which showed milky white and first hints of amber. This plant is now developing buds more quickly so I'll need to keep an eye on this to make sure I harvest at the right time. 5/28-Runoff was 400 ppm higher than input so another little mini-flush to keep it in the zone 5/30-Another solid week of growth. Buds are denser, more frosty. Even the mid level buds are looking really good and getting great light. It's feeling like this one has another 7-14 days before I start flush. I'll pay more attention next week to color of trichs.

Week #10-May 31 to June 6 5/31-Heading into the home stretch. The plant is really developing quickly now. I'm thinking she's got 10-14 days left in her based on my past Mango Smile grow which I harvested at 75 days. I compared photos from each grow and this one seems to be at least a week ahead of that first grow in terms of bud development. I've spread this canopy out wide for the last month which has had a huge impact on the development of the lower buds. 6/1-Top flowers are showing amber now. Lower buds very cloudy and showing hints of amber. I'll start a slow flush in the next couple of days. 6/2-Started flush today with Flawless Finish. First runoff was 5.6/650. This is the earliest I've ever started a flush with the Mephistos. 6/4-Day 3 of flush. Runoff at 5.5/470 . 6/5-Day 4 of flush. Runoff at 5.5/340 . Buds are really fattening up and getting more dense. Trichs are cloudy with a bit more amber kicking in. Getting close to harvest. Amazing how fast this plant got to this point. 6/6-Day 5 of flush and we are down to 5.6/220 . Leaves are turning yellow. I'm going to flush for 2 more days to get ppm down under 100 and then stop watering for 3 more. Will harvest day 75.
