Pineapple Chunk in Pro-Mix amended with home made EWC popped on 08/31. Started the seed using paper towel method and then left in a starter cube until the shell popped off. I am planning to do a single plant SCROG once my Dark Devil Auto finishes in the next week or two.
Day 6 - Seedling is looking pretty healthy. Once I get to 4-5 nodes I will transfer to its final medium.
Day 7 - Added some PHed water. The tap root has made its way out the bottom of the cup already.
Day 9 - Still just keeping the soil moist with pH water.
Day 11 - The third node is coming in strong. I will transplant into final medium as soon as my Dark Devil grow is complete.
Day 12 - Roots are snaking out of the bottom of the cup. This plant is going to need a bigger container soon.
Day 16 - Transplanting to a 15 gallon no-till using Coot's mix. Plant will be watered with Blumats.
Day 17 - Cut open the Solo cup to transplant the Pineapple Chunk. I had to tear a few roots to get it out, but it didn't seem to hurt the transplant. Added some red wigglers to the pot. I will add nightcrawlers at a later date.
Day 18 - Trying to get the Blumats adjusted properly. Plant is not showing any signs of stress.
Day 22- It looks like my plant has developed an issue while I was gone for 4 days. There is mottling between the veins and the new growth is slightly yellow. I may need to top dress with MBP or something else.
Day 23 - Gave the plant kelp tea with a TBSP of Recharge. I FIMed at the fourth node.
Day 24 - The plant is still looking pretty healthy, despite the rust spots on the second set of leaves. The FIM has started to grow out very slightly.
Day 25 - Starting to get some growth at the node where I cut the plant. Growth has been slow over the last few days but seems to be picking back up.
Day 26 - Looks like my FIM cut was a little lopsided. Plant is showing strong growth, though.
Day 30 - Plant is growing very fast and is looking healthy. I topped it two nodes below the top in order to spread the growth out wider.
Day 31 - Gave the plant a dose of aloe water.
Day 33 - Growth has taken off quite significantly. I am going to have to put up my SCROG net this week. I top dressed with about 1.5 ounces of malted barley powder and watered with Ful-Power, molasses, and Recharge.
Day 36 - Installed my SCROG net at about 11 inches above the soil. I wanted it taller to make it easier to water the soil.
Day 37 - Added kelp tea, Recharge, and molasses.
Day 38 - The plant has already started to grow into the screen. It is putting on almost an inch per day.
Day 39 - I spread out the canopy to increase light penetration. I am planning to defoliate during week 1 flower. I will probably vegetate for another week or so before transitioning.
Day 42 - Defoliated many of the lower fan leaves and some of the large upper ones blocking light.
Day 43 - Spread the canopy some more. I think I will flip to flower after this week. I am still waiting for the middle to fill in more.
Day 45 - Removed some foliage in order to clean up under the canopy.
Day 46 - Switched to flowering lights and 12/12. Canopy was increasing in height and I don't want to lose headroom. Lights are 4x ChilLED 100W Logic PCBs wired in parallel for a total of 320W draw.
Day 47 - Removed some larger fan leaves and a few growth tips that were below the canopy. Temperature is averaging 75.
Day 51 - Plant has been on 12/12 for 6 days. Still no sign of flowering. Gave soil kelp tea with Recharge and molasses.
Day 54 - Plant is producing some pistils. Growth has been very fast with another inch or so added in the last few days. MBP top dress with coconut water.
Day 56 - The plant is growing very quickly. I am a little bit worried I may run out of headroom by the time the stretch is over.
Day 58 - Raised the lights a few inches since the plant has stretched so much over the last few days. I only have another 2 inches I can move it up before I need to change mounting solutions. Gave sprout tea with Recharge and molasses.
Day 59 - Plant is still stretching and growing very fast. Water consumption has increased significantly. I am getting overrun with fungus gnats due to the soil moisture.
Day 60 - Found and cut off 6 pollen sacks on a few stems near the tent door. They shouldn't be from light leaks as there is very little light that can get through.
Day 61 - MBP top dress with Ful-Power and Aloe.
Day 74 - Sprout tea with Recharge and molasses. Decided to take some pictures with lights off and flash to see if they come out better.
Day 76 - MBP top dress with Ful-Power and aloe
Day 81 - Kelp tea with molasses and Recharge. Leaves are showing some purple color. I am not sure if it is from the cold night temperatures or genetic.
Day 84 - MBP top dress and coconut water. The center colas have some light burn happening. Lights have been moved up to the highest position.
Day 88 - Sprout tea with molasses and Recharge. Colas are getting fatter and a lot of the fan leaves are wilting away. I would guess they have another 3-4 weeks.
Day 90 - MBP top dress with aloe and Ful-Power. A lot of lower fan leaves are have wilted. Sugar leaves are getting purple.
Day 93 - Kelp tea with Recharge and molasses
Day 96 - Discovered some spider mite damage on the fan leaves closest to the tent opening. I assume I have gotten contamination because people have been coming and going frequently for the last two weeks. Infestation has been minimal so far with about 20 leaves affected. I have been spraying neem oil and plucking affected leaves.
Day 97 - I found a few more fan leaves with mites living on them. I have been plucking them as discovered. Sprayed another round of neem.
Day 98 - My ladybugs have arrived and been released to their new home. Hopefully they can keep the mite population under control through the end of flower. MBP top dress with aloe and Ful-Power.
Day 109 - Sprout tea with Recharge and molasses. There is still some spider mite activity going on. I have been keeping my ladybugs happy and also cutting off affected leaves. It seems to be keeping them in check. Trichomes are mostly cloudy so I should be finishing soon.
Day 115 - MBP top dress with aloe, ful-power, and recharge. The fan leaves are wilting heavily but trichomes have barely started to amber. I will likely take the plant down later this week or next week. Currently no visible signs of spider mites.
Chopped the plant on Day 122. I gave the plant a light trim to remove any left over spider mites and clean up the colas a bit. I am hoping to get about a week of drying before I trim.
