Acapulco Gold, sativa dominant, the first strain of this season, a classic, a mythical strain that has resonated in my mind since time immemorial and that I never got to try, now thanks to MSNL Seeds I will be able to do so.

=====================================================================
I’m kicking off the spring/summer growing season with the same enthusiasm and excitement as always, lots of dominant sativas to take advantage of the fantastic spring sun throughout the entire vegetative growth stage. I’ll be growing in a mixed indoor/outdoor mode until flowering, ensuring the plants get as many hours of light as possible. Since I’ll have to move the pots a lot from indoors to outdoors, I’m going to grow in 10L pots to avoid breaking my back.
I’m also going to try out three new Soluble Bio Ferments based on Mountain Microorganisms (MM) and Fermented Grass for vegetative growth, and two others for flowering that have been in anaerobic fermentation since 06/18/22. I’ll also be using some enzymatic hydrolysates of amino acids and complex potassium hydrolysates of humic and fulvic acids with minerals. As I open them, I’ll talk about them... but just a heads up, this season I’m going all out, no mercy, I want to experiment to see how far I can go with forced feeding in pots. I’m not looking for friends; I’m looking for massive crops to fill my bag with marijuana...
I’ve prepared a light, well-aerated substrate with perlite, coconut fiber, seaweed bokashi, Biochar with MM, and worm humus; I put it in 0.45L fabric pots (7x12cm) because I want to transplant as soon as possible to the final pot.
I made a watering mix to moisten the entire substrate: Mountain spring water with natural heather honey (sugars, enzymes, minerals, vitamins...), homemade auxins from black beans (hormones, rooting agent), and 1% of my Bio Mix for vegetative growth with Effective Microorganisms (EM) and many basic minerals and nutrients. With this mix, I start the microbiology inoculation of the substrate; honey is an excellent rooting agent and provides energy to the Microorganisms to propagate... next, I chose the prettiest seed and buried it in the substrate, and it showed itself after 7 days. The low temperatures delayed the germination of all the seeds this season, but they have all germinated!
At first, I encapsulate the pots to keep the humidity very high in the pot and thus favor germination. I keep the encapsulation until the seedling has completely detached from the seed shell.
24 hours after seeing the happy seedling peeking through the substrate, I started exposing it to light, at night under the Vipar P1000 lamp at 20% power (20w) and about 15cm from the pots, during the day near a window, avoiding direct sunlight... all for the cause! 🙋♂️👨🌾😁
Until next time...

Third week of life for this mythical Mexican strain, the seedling is slowly establishing itself in its pot.
Today I started exposing all the seedlings to direct sunlight, I just have to be careful with the overheating of the pot and the moisture of the substrate.
During the night, I keep the seedlings under the Vipar P1000 lamp at 20% power (20w) and about 6-7cm away from the tips, since this week I start exposing the seedlings to the sun, I will also increase the power and proximity of the lamp. A total of 24h of indoor/outdoor light.
Since the initial watering, I have only watered with pure mountain water, starting from the next watering I will begin to nourish the seedlings, for the more advanced ones, those that already have true leaves, I will start with varied foliar applications, results will be seen next week.
Until next time...

deFharo Welcome, clandestine marijuana growers, and also to those who are fortunate enough not to be! 🙋♂️👨🌾
Fourth week from seed of this mythical Mexican strain, this week the seedling has made a remarkable stretch, aided by foliar applications and nutrient watering. I keep it in the grow tent while there's no sun.
This week I started fertilizing the seedlings, and it was immediately noticeable, a mix of natural Honey (sugars, enzymes...), Fresh Blood Hydrolysate (amino acids), Bio Mix EM is a blend of remnants from other bio-fermented growth (Bio Fish (N, Ca, P...), Bio Coco (Hormones and minerals), Bio Blood (amino acids), Bio Mealfrass (N, P, Mg) and a bit of Ormus from the Cantabrian Sea to raise the pH and provide minerals (Mg, S...), I did a deep watering and several foliar applications, the plants reacted immediately, the sprouts went into a position of praise, and all the seedlings have shown evident growth... let's play!
Since these first weeks of the seedlings' lives are easy to handle, due to the small pots and cheap to maintain because they need few watts to grow, I'm going to wait another week to transplant to the final pot, this way I also ensure a good root system that will explode in the big pot, ultimately I don't count these first weeks as seedlings because they haven't entered the big game yet. 🙋♂️😁
Until next time...

Fifth week from seed of this mythical Mexican strain, four days ago I transplanted it into an 11L textile pot with a stone base, and today the plant is expanding and growing happily in its new home.
For the substrate of the pot, I made a base mix with 25% recycled substrate from two seasons ago, which I’ve kept in a bag for these months to lose all moisture. Additionally, I used coconut fiber, a mix of two light substrates, bokashi from seaweed, worm humus, perlite, and vermiculite, and finally added a wide variety of minerals: Leonardite, zeolite, azomite, Epsom salt, diatomaceous earth, illite, montmorillonite, kaolin, basalt, phosphate rock, wood ash, pumice, and several types of clays. Once well mixed and the seedling placed, I added a good layer of mulch rescued from other crops with great microbiological activity and organic matter. Then I did a watering with 1400ml; the mix includes a Bio Fertilizer that I’m trying out this season, which I’ve had in anaerobic fermentation since June of last year. It’s a Bio Ferment with Activated Mountain Microorganisms (MMA), fermented grass, and Lactic Acid Bacteria (LAB) to which I added water from 4 green coconuts, and I’ve called it Bio Coco EM. With this bio-stimulant for crops and for the vegetative growth stage, I’ve tried to capture the hormones (cytokinins), enzymes, and vitamins from coconut water, as well as the multitude of minerals it contains. The water from a coconut contains enough energy and minerals to germinate a coconut seed. Here you can read all about the creation process of this series of fertilizers: https://growdiaries.com/diaries/134104-grow-journal-by-defharo/week/782852
Now this strain enters the big game, with artificial light at night and capturing sunlight during the day. Starting today, I’ve reduced the light hours from 24h to 20h because the plants also need rest. I’ve also turned on the other two lamps in the canopy to cover the entire area of the plants, keeping the lamps very close to the plants. This allows me to maintain the lamp power at 20%. When I transplant the other 4 plants that I plan to grow in this tent, I’ll have to move the lamps away and increase the power in exchange... all for big buds!
Until next time...

Sixth week from seed of this mythical Mexican strain, big stretch this week (15cm), even though I've done an apical cut and have tied all the branches to slow down growth... it scares me!
This week I have a very special nutrition plan for this stage of cultivation, but I don't know if the growth is going to go wild.
I've added rice husk to the mulch, dry organic matter with a lot of silicon; it's the first time I've used it as mulch, I usually use it as a component of bokashi. Plus, its light color is great for reflecting sunlight and preventing overheating at the top of the substrate. I'm curious to observe the decomposition process; I hope the microorganisms like it a lot!
I've increased the intensity of all the lamps, now consuming 155w plus 20w from fans/extractors. If I see this week that the plants go wild, I'm going to crank up the power to the lamps to try to compact them as much as possible.
Currently, I have the plants 14h in the grow tent and 6h in direct sunlight; when the day is cloudy, they stay in the grow tent.
Until next time...

Seventh week from seed of this mythical Mexican strain, and it is currently the queen of my joy garden, the plant is growing wildly and I'm struggling to bend it with ties, a titanic battle in which we will all win!
Water consumption is on the rise, this week two deep and radical waterings with multi-nutrients, some like my new formula that I've debuted with this Humato Blood MgSiPK plant, a potassium hydrolate from leonardite with Si, Mg, P, and amino acids, where I've also managed to solubilize fulvic acids, thus forming a nutritious set for maximum vegetative growth.
Today I decided to measure the substrate temperature and it gives me 24°C at 10cm depth, practically the same as the ambient temperature with the lights on, today when I turn off the lights I'll wait a couple of hours and take the temperature reading at night to see the difference and if the substrate drops its temperature as quickly as the ambient temperature.
Six days ago I did the first watering of the week, with a varied mix of Bio nutrients, quite concentrated EC: 2.00, this time I'm still applying Bio Coco EM, to give energy and provide micro nutrients 1% of my Lacto fermented seaweed, I add Microbiology to the substrate and a high range of trace micronutrients and minerals with my Activated Mountain Microorganisms fermented with fruits and minerals, another 1% of Ormus from the Cantabrian Sea Mg, S... and traces of more than 40 minerals, I needed a bit of my Sheep Wool Hydrolate to raise the pH of this mix and finally a component that I only use once throughout the cultivation and only at this stage, it is gibberellic acid which is a growth phyto-regulator of hormonal action that stimulates and regulates plant development and together with cytokinins, plant hormones that regulate various aspects of plant growth and development, such as cell division or photosynthesis, I capture these hormones from coconut water and complete this mix... the plants love it!
I want to pair some plants to make different watering mixes for each pair and compare results, for now, I'm thinking of doing it based on the water consumption of each plant to match the watering moment for the plants that form the pair... we'll see!
Now this strain enters the big game, during the night artificial light, during the day capturing rays of sun, if the day is cloudy, like last week, they stay in the grow tent. Starting today I've reduced the light hours from 24h to 19h, because the plants also need rest, of the three lamps in the canopy of my grow tent, the central one is at maximum power, among other things because the dimmer has broken, damn! the other two lamps in the canopy will enter this week at maximum power and I will add lights as the plants demand it.
Until next time...

deFharo Welcome, clandestine marijuana growers, and also to those lucky enough not to be one!✋👨🌾
Eighth week from seed of this mythical Mexican strain, the plant is getting very big. This week I did some defoliation and adjusted the ties; I can already see that the size is going to complicate my life. The plant shows the typical structure of some sativas, with few but huge branches that will be filled with tasty buds along the way, but in the end, they get too tall. Let's see how I manage. Today I'm going to change the schedule to 12/12 to switch this and other plants to flowering.
These days I gathered quite a few leaves from the defoliations I did on all the plants, and as I did in the previous season, I chopped them up and added them to the mulch of some pots, top-notch food for the microbiology and some nitrogen for the plants.
This week, two stimulating waterings with varied components, I'm also trying out a Bio Fertilizer with Nitrogen, Calcium, and Magnesium. Additionally, this week all the plants received a good dose of my Bio Silicon Ferment, I want to strengthen the branches and trunk because they are going to have to support a lot of weight this season✋😁. The plant has responded immediately to the watering, growing, thickening the trunk and branches, consuming more water, and expanding above and below the soil... oh!
The cloudy days continue, the plants barely come out of the grow tent. This week I reduced the light time by half an hour and I've been at 18h 30', I added a 50w LED panel to the light canopy (2700K +660nm) and now I have 4 lamps plugged in at maximum power (370w). Since I keep the lamps as close as I can to the tips to compact the plants, it turns out that the light on the sides of the lamps doesn't reach enough, so this season, due to putting too many plants in my grow tent, I'm going to play around with putting a powerful canopy instead of lighting from the sides. I have two COBs with lenses waiting to be placed in the canopy, this way I can maintain the short distance with the tips and light from above all sides of the tent.
Also, I have two bars, placed vertically in two corners (50cm) with 2100K +IR LEDs that I will connect when flowering starts and the plants grow a bit more.
I'm also waiting to receive a kit of extra spacer bars for my grow tent; with this, I'm going to manage to recover up to 20% of the horizontal space that the tent loses due to the negative pressure from the air extractors... all for the cause!
Until next time...

deFharo Welcome clandestine marijuana growers, and also to those lucky enough not to be! 🙋♂️👨🌾 This season cultivating legendary sativas... all for the cause!
It's the first week since switching to the 12/12 flowering schedule for this mythical Mexican strain. The plant, after the change in light exposure hours, has decreased its metabolism, water consumption has dropped, and now, the grow is going through these days of great hormonal revolution preparing for the big flower party... 🌸
In addition to two deep waterings with varied components, mostly bio-stimulants, this week I've made two important changes in the grow tent. The first was completing the light canopy; I've added two COB lamps with lenses, so now I have 6 lamps in the canopy with a total of 475w. This way, I can keep the lamps very close to the tips without losing brightness on the sides. As usual, growing with high light intensity makes the plants grow with short internodes, while also slowing down vertical growth. The second change was installing an extra spacer bar kit that has given me a lot of space on the sides of the tent by preventing the fabric from bulging due to the negative pressure from the exhaust fans... I'm very happy with the result!
Until next time...

Second week since switching to flowering schedule 12/12h, growing this mythical Mexican strain with the hope of filling my sativa box and maybe recovering old memories!
The strain has shown great strength, facing foliar overfeeding that has nearly completely blocked other plants, the tough leaves of this Mexican girl have honorably resisted the burns, her metabolism has quickly returned to normal and the water consumption is perfect for me, watering every three days.
This week two deep waterings (EC: 1) with Bio Stimulants, I have also added dry amendments cooked with microorganisms and chopped green leaf mulch.
The plant structure is columnar with long and strong branches, which I really appreciate this season where I have my grow tent packed with plants and need as much horizontal space as possible, in this aspect the result of the extra space bar I added to my tent is fantastic because it allows me to make the most of the width.
Until next time...

deFharo Welcome, clandestine marijuana growers, and also to those lucky enough not to be one!✋👨🌾 This season, cultivating legendary sativas... all for the cause!
It's the third week since switching to the 12/12 flowering schedule, growing this mythical Mexican strain in hopes of filling my sativa box and maybe recovering old memories!
The flowering is underway, multiple immaculate flower buds are popping up everywhere, in a crazy race to get the best spot under the lights.
The plant demands a lot of watering and nutrients, it loves to eat a variety, and it shows in the strength of the trunk, branches, and leaves. Two days ago, I did a major defoliation on all the plants, although I don't like to defoliate when the plants are already in flowering, but I think it will hold up well given the vigor it shows. In general, I'm not fond of this technique, but I'm forced by the need for space and I want the maximum light penetration through the canopy, since this season I'm barely going to add side lighting. The loss of leaf mass takes away from the plant's splendor, but it will recover in a few days, and in exchange, the flower buds are more exposed to the light... let’s play!
This week, 3 deep waterings with varied watering mixes, where I've already started the transition to more specialized Bio Fertilizers for flowering.
Until next time...

Fourth week since switching to flowering schedule 12/12h.
I'm growing this mythical Mexican strain with the hope of filling my sativa box and maybe recovering old memories!
Facing another boring summer in GD, I alone, enjoy immensely watching this great plant grow, feeding it and loving it! 💖
The plant has stopped vertical growth, perfect size for me, now comes the big game of fattening, I will share my best gourmet recipes with this Mexican girl... let’s play!
This week I added the last lights to the grow tent, two 50cm LED bars, 25w consumption and 3000K, 2100K + IR 730nm LEDs in equal parts, I placed them vertically in each corner at the back of the tent, they are LEDs to enhance flowering and the growth of intermediate branches and buds!
Until next time...
REGARDS TO ALL!!

Fifth week since switching to the 12/12h flowering schedule.
The plant is focused on forming flowers, it's the one consuming the most water and has the highest metabolism, I expect monstrous buds, with the light very close to the upper tips, I’ll try to make these sativa buds as dense as possible... let’s play!
In this last week and for all the plants, I've been concerned about the temperature of the watering mixes, since I store mountain water, the temperature of this water is ambient, these summer days it's 25°C, so I have a few liters in the fridge and mix it to get as close as possible to 20°C, the plants appreciate it during these hot days, plus, colder water transports more oxygen to the substrate.
I've also been adding some dry amendments to the surface of the substrate, specifically these days I'm adding a mix of bone meal, mealfrass, and bat guano at a rate of 1g per liter of soil for each of these materials... all for the cause!
Until next time...

Sixth week since switching to flowering schedule 12/12h.
The Mexican girl keeps adorning her figure with increasingly beautiful and larger flowers every day.
The whole plant is very sturdy, the proud branches stand straight and invite the flowers to settle in their full extent, the beautiful, immaculate, and cheerful floral buds promise spectacular buds... I'm a damn optimist, let’s play! 😁😈
Until next time...

deFharo Welcome clandestine marijuana growers, and also to those lucky enough not to be one! 🙋♂️🌱 This season growing sativa legends... all for the cause!
Seven weeks since switching to flowering schedule 12/12h.
Proud and confident of her lineage, this Mexican female proudly displays her long branches laden with flowers, she seems to have no limits!.. Ah, she is a wild girl, and no one can touch her! 😁😈
High water and nutrient consumption, metabolism at full speed, light, light, and more light, peace to fatten the beautiful buds that this plant strives to give me, the density is very good considering it's a sativa, the smell indescribable, the touch very sticky... What more could you ask for?
Happy summer growers!
Until next time...

Eight weeks since switching to 12/12 flowering schedule, and there's still growth for at least another week, the plant doesn't want to miss out on summer!

deFharo Welcome clandestine marijuana growers, and also to those lucky enough not to be one!✋👨🌾 This season cultivating legendary sativas... all for the cause!
Nine weeks since switching to the 12/12 flowering schedule, and there's still room for a few more days, the plant doesn't want to miss out on summer! The plant continues with a high metabolism, the pistils have started to turn orange, and the buds show constant growth.
A few days ago, I detected the beginnings of mold rot on a couple of buds in two of the main colas, so I took the scalpel and cut the affected buds, then sprinkled wood ash to absorb the moisture, cauterize the wound, and due to its alkaline nature, slow down mold reproduction. At the same time, I raised all the lights about 5-6cm to reduce heat at the tips and decrease light intensity, as it will benefit the plant at this ripening stage. A few days later, everything continues normally, the very fresh buds are advancing unstoppable.
Happy summer growers!
Until next time...

deFharo Welcome, clandestine marijuana growers, and also to those lucky enough not to be one! 🙋♂️👨🌾 This season, we’re growing legendary sativas... all for the cause!
Ten weeks since switching to the 12/12h flowering schedule.
The plant is keeping its leaf mass almost intact and has a high water consumption; the buds look active with young floral shoots. I'm going to hold on to the grow and see how far this strain can go. For now, I'm watering with bio components focused on phosphorus and potassium. Probably the next watering for all the crops will be with bio stimulants, a boost for my old friends before their eternal rest!
Happy summer, growers!
Until next time...

After eleven weeks of flowering, the time for the harvest has come...
After one last and only watering with pure mountain water and two days in the sun, I’ve cut down this big plant. It could have lasted a few more days, but an incipient rot in the buds forced me to harvest it now to avoid worse issues. I dried it with plenty of ventilation.
The plant has behaved with great vigor and strength at all times; the buds are very hard and stinky, a strain to keep in mind.
Until next time...

The concept of creating a minor stressor for the plant in the form of competing for light that is cool, never really thought about it much but the plant will want more light and will not want to be in shade of others. We should buy white coats and do experiments.
@deFharo, allow me to refresh that material. Being the first element added to water, it absorbs better or more completely above 8
I will get back to you
@1Right_Angle, for outdoor growing I would consider diatomaceous earth as a source of silica; sprinkled on the surface, it will protect you against slugs and snails, and it will dissolve with watering. Have a great day!
@deFharo, Bingo for that piece of advice Garcon. As it stands there is some edge-assault happening on the US22 plant… and I feared Slugs. Perfect timing DeFharo, Thanks for that!
All plants looks happy and green, Mexican is the most happiest with so much love you give her! I believe rice husks will be a delicatessen for microorganisms and bacteria. Glad you have a nice and sunny days! 🙌
@deFharo, I am here all the time. Just cant sent more than one message per day :-( I dont know why but htis site is making my nerves...Anyway, I will do MMA in next two weeks and hopefully will start a grow at the end of June. I know how hard is manual watering so I will use autopot system in my grow. I am thinking to make one plant in XXL 50L fabric pot. The reason to use this big pot as I still have no enough of BIO FERTILIZERS and bigger pot will keep soil food web and help plant not to get deficiencies. Have a nice week my friend!!!! 😇
@@SPRAMOAH, Wow! a 50L pot is awesome! With that pot size, I could grow a marijuana tree, maybe one day I will. You can also take fresh MM collected from the forest, mix it with organic matter and a bit of moisture, and start cooking a living mulch!
I think you treat this girl as a very very special as you give her so many delicious and nourishing foods. Mulch looks very carbon rich. Just a thought - What if put thin layer of MMS inoculated substrate (coco fiber for example) on top of this mulch? Will this mulch decompose faster and give plant more food?
@@SPRAMOAH, I collect the top mulch every season to use it as mulch in the next season. It's loaded with microbiology, decomposing organic matter, and humified material. To quickly and massively inoculate a substrate or mulch, I use basic Activated Mountain Microorganisms without any additives. You can also mix in a bit of Solid Mountain Microorganisms (MMS) with the mulch.
@deFharo, Thanks. Sure MMA or MMS will do a wonders! I believe in MMM! My flowers outside are blooming like crazy BAL+ organic matter and hopefully will start BIO ferments soon! THANK YOU!!!!! 😇
@deFharo, thanks, but I can’t grow commercially this year as my sister needs to sell her farm. So, I can only grow four plants this year, but I hope to try farming again in future with a better setup. Cheers.
Your Cola silhouette is a powerful shot. What a beautiful profile lol.
Nice work on the Rot removal.
I’m already planning the sept landrace grow, and love how you have collected the branches and colas, into a single-Column of a Plant…
Definitely that bunch, will be modeled after this effort. Landrace or not, a change is coming
Thanks again for quietly running away with it.
I am sitting here, laughing my Derrierre off.
That is one of the Most-Stuffed Tents that I have ever seen. Seriously !
Kudos for raising the bar on my Sept landrace grow… !
@1Right_Angle, The best compliment is hearing your laughter... I like to cultivate and play.
The plants, despite everything, are comfortable, they have not wasted horizontal space with leaf litter. Each one looked for her place under the light and now the flowers grow to adorn the horizon.
I am going to repeat this configuration in September, 8 plants in 11L pots.
Some tips, in case they help anyone, that I have tried this season to take advantage of the greatest possible space in width:
I have four fans, one in each corner, above the lamps, generating drafts and cooling the drivers of the lamps.
I added an extra set of space bars, with this I gained 20% of lateral space and prevented the crushing of the plants due to the negative pressure, caused by the two sets of extractors, on the walls of the tent... all because of the cause!
Wow. She opens a true potential for a heavy yield. This girl is quite a special as she is bushy despite having 70% of sativa dominance! Will watch her closely!
@@SPRAMOAH is a beast, I did a big defoliation these days, let's see how tall it gets as it moves into flowering. The buds are going to be impressive, for sure!
