deFharo Welcome clandestine marijuana growers, and also to those lucky enough not to be one!✋👨‍🌾 PROBLEMS: yesterday I detected mites around and inside the seed shell, only in this pot, I sprinkled diatomaceous earth, but I recognized the symptoms, today there were more bugs eating the sprout and they had already detached it from the tiny stem, this has happened to me before and I don't like it, it's a clear symptom of old or poorly stored seeds. I removed the seed and the substrate around it, I checked the top substrate with a magnifying glass and I put another seed to germinate, I've updated the germination date, we'll see what happens. ROYAL PURPLE KUSH, short stature sativa dominant that might add some color to the season. The vegetative growth is vigorous and allows for abundant infrastructure, resulting in multiple large, fragrant "castle" colas embedded with THC. The distinctive sweet flavor of the Black Afghani mother is enhanced by the spicy and fruity flavors of the Bubba Kush father, giving Royal Purple Kush a complex and out-of-this-world flavor that must be experienced. The high is well-balanced, both energizing and serene... long live sativa!! ===================================================================== I'm starting the spring/summer growing season with the same enthusiasm and excitement as always, many sativa dominants to take advantage of the fantastic spring sun throughout the vegetative growth stage, I'll be growing in a mixed indoor/outdoor mode until flowering, I'll try to ensure the plants get as many hours of light as possible and since I'll have to move the pots a lot from indoors to outdoors, I'm going to grow in 10L pots to avoid breaking my back. I'm also going to debut three new Soluble Bio Ferments based on Mountain Microorganisms (MM) and Fermented Grass for vegetative growth and two others for flowering that have been in anaerobic fermentation since 06/18/22, as well as other enzymatic hydrolysates of amino acids and complex potassium hydrolysates of humic and fulvic acids with minerals, as I open them I'll talk about them... but I warn you, this season I'm going all out, no mercy, I want to experiment to see how far I can go with forced feeding in pots, I'm not looking for friends, I'm looking for colossal crops to fill my bag with marijuana... I've prepared a light, well-aerated substrate, with perlite, coconut fiber, seaweed bokashi, Biochar with MM, and worm humus; I put it in 0.45L fabric pots (7x12cm) because I want to transplant as soon as possible to the final pot. I made a watering mix to moisten the entire substrate: Mountain spring water with natural heather honey (sugars, enzymes, minerals, vitamins...), homemade auxins from black beans (hormones, rooting) and 1% of my Bio Mix for vegetative growth with Effective Microorganisms (EM), minerals, and basic nutrients, with this mix I begin the inoculation of microbiology to the substrate, honey is an excellent rooting agent and provides energy to the Microorganisms to propagate... then I chose the prettiest seed and buried it in the substrate and it showed itself after 9 days, the low temperatures delayed the germination of all the seeds this season, but all have germinated! At first, I encapsulate the pots to keep the humidity very high in the pot and thus favor germination, I keep the encapsulation until the seedling has completely detached from the seed shell. After 24 hours I started exposing it to light, during the night under the light of the Vipar P1000 lamp at 20% power (20w) and about 15cm from the pots, during the day near a window, avoiding direct sunlight... all for the cause!✋👨‍🌾😁 Until next time... deFharo Welcome, clandestine marijuana growers, and also to those who are lucky enough not to be! 🙋‍♂️👨‍🌾 On day 5, I planted a second seed of this strain since the first one was eaten by mites. I wasn't very confident, but 5 days later, the seed germinated vigorously and is already competing with the other seedlings. I'm really happy because I want to grow this strain. Now it shares space with the other seedlings, growing tent at night and window during the day. I mist all of them with mountain spring water. Until next time... deFharo Welcome clandestine marijuana growers, and also to those lucky enough not to be one! 🙋‍♂️👨‍🌾 Second week of life for the second seed of this strain, the seedling is making up for the lost time of its deceased sister and is now striving to be the queen of the garden... a wonderful future! It has started to show the first true leaves and you can already see the elongated shape of the leaves, typical of some sativas. Today I began to expose all the seedlings to direct sunlight, I just have to be careful with the overheating of the pot and the moisture of the substrate. During the night, I keep the seedlings under the Vipar P1000 lamp at 20% power (20w) and about 6-7cm away from the tips, since this week I start exposing the seedlings to the sun, I will also increase the power and proximity of the lamp. Since the initial watering, I have only watered with pure mountain water, starting from the next watering I will begin to feed the seedlings, for the more advanced ones, those that already have true leaves I will start with various foliar applications, results will be seen next week. Until next time... deFharo Welcome clandestine marijuana growers, and also to those lucky enough not to be one! 🙋‍♂️👨‍🌾 Third week of life from seed, the seedling has a somewhat lanky appearance, but the truth is that it is showing a lot of vigor and has caught up to the older seedlings, despite being a week younger... go purple girl! This week I started fertilizing the seedlings, and it was immediately noticeable, a mix of natural Honey (sugars, enzymes...), Fresh Blood Hydrolysate (amino acids), Bio Mix EM is a blend of leftovers from other bio-fermented for vegetative growth (Bio Fish (N, Ca, P...), Bio Coco (Hormones and minerals), Bio Blood (amino acids), Bio Mealfrass (N, P, Mg) and a bit of Ormus from the Cantabrian Sea to raise the pH and provide minerals (Mg, S...), I did a deep watering and several foliar applications, the plants reacted immediately, the shoots went into praise position, and all the seedlings have shown evident growth... let’s play! Since these first weeks of the seedlings' lives are easy to manage, due to the small pots and cheap to maintain because they need few watts to grow, I will wait another week to transplant to the final pot, this way I also ensure a good root system that will explode in the big pot, ultimately I don’t count these first weeks as seedlings because they haven’t entered the big game yet. 🙋‍♂️😁 During the night I keep the seedlings under the Vipar P1000 lamp at 20% power (20w) and about 6-7cm away from the tips, as this week I start exposing the seedlings to the sun, I will also increase the power and proximity of the lamp. deFharo Welcome, clandestine marijuana growers, and also to those lucky enough not to be! 🙋‍♂️👨‍🌾 It's the fourth week of life since I germinated the seed. Four days ago, I transplanted it into a square 11L fabric pot with a stone base. The plant is growing wildly; yesterday I had to do an apical cut to slow down the vertical growth and start shaping it. However, I'm afraid I'm going to have serious space issues this season because I plan to grow 8 plants in my grow tent, and I'm not willing to give up on big plants, so I'll be improvising with whatever scenarios I encounter... all to fill the bag with weed! 🙋‍♂️😈 For the substrate in the pot, I made a base mix with 25% recycled substrate from two seasons ago, which I've kept in a bag for these months to lose all moisture. Additionally, I used coconut fiber, a mix of two light substrates, bokashi from algae, worm humus, perlite, and vermiculite. Finally, I added a wide variety of minerals: Leonardite, zeolite, azomite, Epsom salt, diatomaceous earth, illite, montmorillonite, kaolin, basalt, phosphate rock, wood ash, pumice, and several types of clay. Once well mixed and the seedling placed, I added a good layer of mulch salvaged from other crops with high microbiological activity and organic matter. Then, I did a watering with 1400ml. The mix includes a bio-fertilizer that I'm trying out this season; I've had it in anaerobic fermentation since June of last year. It's a bio-ferment with Activated Mountain Microorganisms (MMA), fermented grass, and Lactic Acid Bacteria (LAB) to which I added water from 4 green coconuts. I've called it Bio Coco EM. With this bio-stimulant for crops and for the vegetative growth stage, I've tried to capture the hormones (cytokinins), enzymes, and vitamins from coconut water, as well as the multitude of minerals it contains. The water from a coconut has enough energy and minerals to germinate a coconut seed. You can read all about the process of creating this series of fertilizers here: https://growdiaries.com/diaries/134104-grow-journal-by-defharo/week/782852 Now this strain enters the big game, with artificial light at night and capturing sunlight during the day. Starting today, I've reduced the light hours from 24h to 20h because the plants also need rest. I've also turned on the other two canopy lamps to cover the entire area of the plants. I keep the lamps very close to the plants, which allows me to maintain the lamp power at 20%. When I transplant the other 4 plants I plan to grow in this tent, I will have to move the lamps away and increase the power in exchange... all for big buds! Until next time... deFharo Welcome, clandestine marijuana growers, and also to those lucky enough not to be one! 🙋‍♂️👨‍🌾 It's the sixth week since I planted the seed to germinate, and the vigor and growth this strain is showing is so impressive that I've urgently had to bend it hard. I've shaped its stem into an S and tied its branches. The plant barely reacted to the apical cut and continued to grow rapidly... it's either her or me! Today I received the replacement for the pH sensor. I have a very special nutrition plan for tonight, but I don't know if the growth will force me to leave the house... all for the cause! I've added rice husk to the mulch, dry organic matter with a lot of silicon. It's the first time I'm using it as mulch; I usually use it as a component of bokashi. Plus, its light color is great for reflecting sunlight and preventing overheating at the top of the substrate. I'm curious to observe the decomposition process; I hope the microorganisms love it! I've increased the intensity of all the lamps, now consuming 155w plus 20w from fans/extractors. If I see this week that the plants are going wild, I'm going to crank up the power to the lamps to try to compact as much light as possible. Currently, I have the plants in the grow tent for 14 hours and 6 hours in direct sunlight. When the day is cloudy, they stay in the grow tent. Until next time... deFharo Welcome, clandestine marijuana growers, and also to those lucky enough not to be one! 🙋‍♂️👨‍🌾 Seventh week of life since I put the seed to germinate, the purple girl is not backing down in front of the intense training I'm putting her through and keeps growing in all directions, her trunk completely twisted in an S shape, revealing powerful branches reaching for the light. I think this will be the last week of vegetative growth, despite my desire to extend it more to enjoy the cultivation, but the size the plants are getting is going to complicate my grows this season... I will resist! Throughout the week, the bad weather has continued, very cloudy days and persistent rain, the plants have stayed sheltered in their grow tent, warmed by the lights... I'm craving sunshine, please!! Today I decided to measure the substrate temperature, and it reads 24°C at 10cm deep, practically the same as the ambient temperature with the lights on. Today when I turn off the lights, I will wait a couple of hours and take the temperature reading at night to see the difference and if the substrate cools down as quickly as the ambient temperature. Six days ago, I did the first watering of the week, with a varied mix of Bio nutrients, quite concentrated EC: 2.00. This time, I continue applying Bio Coco EM to provide energy and add micro nutrients, 1% of my Lacto fermented seaweed, I add Microbiology to the substrate and a high range of trace micronutrients and minerals with my Activated Mountain Microorganisms fermented with fruits and minerals, another 1% of Ormus from the Cantabrian Sea Mg, S... and traces of over 40 minerals. I needed a bit of my Sheep Wool Hydrosol to raise the pH of this mix, and finally, a component I only use once throughout the cultivation and only at this stage, which is gibberellic acid, a hormonal growth regulator that stimulates and regulates plant development, together with cytokinins, plant hormones that regulate various aspects of plant growth and development, such as cell division or photosynthesis. I capture these hormones from coconut water, and they complete this mix... the plants love it! I want to pair some plants to make different watering mixes for each pair and compare results. For now, I plan to do it based on each plant's water consumption to match the watering time for the plants forming the pair. Now this strain enters the big game, during the night artificial light, during the day capturing rays of sun. If the day is cloudy, like last week, they stay in the grow tent. Starting today, I have reduced the light hours from 24h to 19h because the plants also need rest. Of the three lamps in the canopy of my grow tent, the central one is at maximum power, among other things because the dimmer has broken, damn! The other two lamps in the canopy will enter maximum power this week, and I will add lights as the plants demand. Until next time... deFharo Welcome clandestine marijuana growers, and also to those lucky enough not to be one! 🙋‍♂️👨‍🌾 Eighth week since I germinated the seed, the plant keeps growing vigorously and consuming a lot of water. This week I did a major defoliation, I also cut the lower branches and the small shoots from the main branches, I intend to direct all the energy to the canopy of colas. Today I'm switching to the flowering schedule, and from now on the plant will continue to grow for at least two more weeks, I'll see how it evolves. I added chopped green leaves to the mulch, this material comes from the recent defoliations I've done to the plants. During these two weeks of significant hormonal changes in the plants, I will do the next watering with a good dose of bio-stimulants and the next ones will be lighter until flowering begins... to avoid disturbing this teenager in her transition to adulthood. The cloudy days continue, the plants barely come out of the grow tent. This week I reduced the light time by half an hour and I've been at 18h 30', I also added a 50w LED panel to the light canopy (2700K +660nm) and now I have 4 lamps plugged in at maximum power (370w). Since I keep the lamps as close as possible to the tips to compact the plants, it turns out that the light on the sides of the lamps doesn't reach enough, so this season, due to having too many plants in my grow tent, I'm going to play with putting a powerful canopy instead of lighting from the sides. I have two COBs with lenses waiting to be placed in the canopy, this way I can maintain a short distance with the tips and light from above all sides of the tent. Additionally, I have two bars, placed vertically (50cm) in two corners with 2100K +IR LEDs that I will connect when flowering begins and the plants grow a bit more. I'm also waiting to receive an extra spacer bar kit for my grow tent, with this I'm going to recover up to 20% of the horizontal space that the tent loses due to the negative pressure from the air extractors... all for the cause! Until next time... deFharo Welcome, underground marijuana growers, and also to those lucky enough not to be one! 🙋‍♂️👨‍🌾 This season is all about cultivating legends and sativas... all for the cause! Ninth week since I put the seed to germinate, and the first since switching to 12/12h. The plant is evolving steadily, strengthening its entire structure and increasing leaf mass. Even though water consumption has decreased since the reduction in light hours, the grow is still maintaining high consumption; I hope to see signs of pre-flowering this week. I've made the last foliar applications with Amino Acids and vitamins before flowering begins, plus two deep waterings with various components, mostly bio-stimulants. This week, I've made two important changes in the grow tent. The first was completing the light canopy; I added two COB lamps with lenses, so now I have 6 lamps in the canopy with a total of 475w. This way, I can keep the lamps very close to the tips without losing brightness on the sides. As usual, growing with high light intensity makes the plants grow with short internodes, which in turn slows vertical growth. The second change was installing an extra spacer bar kit that has given me a lot of space on the sides of the tent by preventing the fabric from bulging due to the negative pressure from the exhaust fans... I'm very happy with the result! Until next time... deFharo Welcome, clandestine marijuana growers, and also to those lucky enough not to be one! 🙋‍♂️👨‍🌾 This season, cultivating legends and sativas... all for the cause! It's the second week since switching to flowering, and the plant has started pre-flowering... let the games begin! After a few tough days, with quite a few leaves burned from over-foliar fertilization, the plant has recovered after two waterings with Bio Stimulants and is now moving towards its glory! The plant shows a good structure to grow a spectacular canopy of buds; the intense trunk training has allowed me to control the height and width of this plant... I'm hoping for the best! This is the first of my grows that clearly shows the beginning of flowering; in the last few days, the leaf mass has recovered after a significant defoliation of damaged leaves. Water consumption is high and rising; as soon as the plant stops growing, I'll start fattening the buds. This week, I've added some pre-cooked dry amendments with mountain microorganisms (MM). In the last watering, I'm trying out two Bio Fertilizers that I've had fermenting anaerobically for a year: Bio Algas EM: I solubilize three types of algae with Efficient Microorganisms (EM) and enzymes; I use it when I need to stimulate the crops. Bio Guanos EM: I solubilize two types of guano (bird and bat); I'm mainly interested in phosphorus, but this exceptional raw material also provides me with macro and micronutrients, minerals, or humic acids. I use it from the end of the vegetative growth stage until the end of flowering in combination with other potassium-rich formulas, etc. - You can see the entire process of creating this type of Bio Fertilizers at: https://growdiaries.com/diaries/134104-grow-journal-by-defharo/week/782852 Until next time... deFharo Welcome clandestine marijuana growers, and also to those lucky enough not to be one! 🙋‍♂️👨‍🌾 This season is all about cultivating legends and sativas... all for the cause! It's the third week since switching to flowering, and the plant keeps stretching, 10 cm this week, I hope this is the last. Water consumption remains high, I water deeply every three days. This week I've started transitioning to Bio Nutrients for ones more specialized in flowering. Despite all the ties I've made to the branches and especially the trunk, which I've contorted excessively, the plant keeps growing, now clearly with a sativa structure, I hope to fill the long branches with delicious buds. Two days ago I did a major defoliation on all the plants, for this plant it's a bit forced, as I don't like to defoliate when the plants are already in flowering, but I think it will hold up well given the vigor it shows. In general, I'm not fond of this technique, but I'm forced by the need for space and I want the most light penetration through the canopy, since this season I'm barely going to add side light. The loss of leaf mass takes away from the plant's splendor, but it will recover in a few days, and in exchange, the floral buds are more exposed to light... let’s play! Until next time... deFharo Welcome clandestine marijuana growers, and also to those lucky enough not to be! 🙋‍♂️👨‍🌾 This season is all about cultivating legends and sativas... all for the cause! It's the fourth week since switching to flowering, and the purple girl has lost her shyness, and maybe her innocence. Now, this fine-leafed sativa, with long and sturdy branches adorned with countless immaculate and beautiful floral buds, makes me dream! I'm truly amazed by this week's evolution. Now, I can only accompany this girl on her life journey, which is also mine, attuned to her needs and whims. I'll be there, and with delight, one day I'll smoke her... long live sativa! This week, I added the last lights to the grow tent, two 50cm LED bars, consuming 25w, with 3000K, 2100K + IR 730nm LEDs in equal parts. I placed them vertically, each in a corner at the back of the tent. These LEDs are to enhance flowering and the growth of the branches and intermediate buds... let’s play! Until next time... deFharo Welcome clandestine marijuana growers, and also to those lucky enough not to be! 🙋‍♂️👨‍🌾 This season is all about cultivating legends and sativas... all for the cause! Fifth week since the switch to flowering, the purple girl has lost her shyness and innocence, the lustful Durban male didn't spare this purple girl, there’s quite a bit of seed formation on several lower branches that will go into my cross collection, and one day I’d like to have space to plant these kinds of seeds. For now, I haven't seen more seeds on the upper branches, a sign that the treacherous Durban male violated my girl from below. I'm not scared of the seeds, especially when I remember the times when there were only regular seeds and the male satyrs produced seeds to absurd limits... anyway, the buds are fattening up and are absolutely beautiful! Sixth week since the transition to flowering, the purple girl with immaculate curled pistils is advancing with all her buds invading the branches and forming some sativa tails that will surely be a pleasure to smoke. deFharo Welcome clandestine marijuana growers, and also to those lucky enough not to be one! 🙋‍♂️👨‍🌾 This season is all about cultivating legends and sativas... all for the cause! Seventh week since the switch to flowering. She’s a royal girl, lanky and twisted without mercy, her last name is Purple but that’s all, the Kush lineage weakened by sativa dominance, only exists to confuse! In short, she has grown and continues to grow at her own pace, with long sativa tails, fluffy and curly, and now, pregnant with the majestic male Durban that sneaked into my garden and stole the innocence of all my girls. deFharo Bienvenidos cultivadores de marihuana clandestinos, y también, a los que tienen la fortuna de no serlo!🖐️👨‍🌾 esta temporada cultivando leyendas y sativas... todo por la causa! Hasta la próxima... deFharo Welcome clandestine marijuana growers, and also to those lucky enough not to be one! 🙋‍♂️👨‍🌾 This season cultivating legends and sativas... all for the cause! Tenth week since switching to flowering, the purple girl refuses to disappear! There's activity in all the buds, the main ones seem limitless, I'm going to hold off on the harvest for at least another week, although I always have the same dizzy feeling when it comes time to decide when to cut, no matter what, I’m going to raid it, and then I’ll smoke it without regrets! Happy Harvest Day!

Eleven weeks of flowering, the purple girl has been sacrificed and plundered! What madness, I love phenotypes with fox tails!! They are something worthy of carrying their sativa genetics ❄️🎩
deFharo
deFharo commented3y ago
@MiyaguiOkPolilla, they don't bother me, this season I have several plants with fox tails, it's the sativa genetics and maybe too much light for this stage, although it doesn't usually happen to me... I'll smoke the fox with great pleasure! 😈🤓🙌

@MiyaguiOkPolilla, Yes, in the end it's a contortionist plant, I had to tie it down because it was going wild, I know you like these plant domination practices! 😁😁 I love the curly buds of this plant. The downside is that the male Durban violated it and it's making seeds, someday I'll be able to plant them.
MiyaguiOkPolilla
MiyaguiOkPolilla commented3y ago
@deFharo, haha that's right!! I love seeing a plant like yours fighting against the obstacles we put in its way as if nothing, showing that ancient genetic experience. Now there's a new development in your grow, that counts as an achievement, even though the dominant male tried to escape your hands, it couldn't, just a bit of its struggle was scattered through the air.

It's almost time for flowering, right?
deFharo
deFharo commented3y ago
@420DeepGrow, I wanted to extend the vegetative growth to 8 weeks to give the roots time to fill the entire pot, so that afterward I can really go for it with the Bio Fertilizers without holding back. When they enter flowering, root creation slows down a lot. I rely quite a bit on water consumption; I weigh the pots daily and monitor their progress. When they reach a high level of consumption, I know the roots are well expanded, and then I switch them directly to 12/12h without transitions. ✋😄
