Got a tonne of bag seeds from a guy I'd been buying from for the past 8 years, the first few times the bud was unflushed but nice enough but started to have more and more seeds he told me "there's no seeds this time" 3 times in a row I ended up with 30+ seeds (seeds in the pic are from 1 deal I haven't bought from him since) so I decided to try grow a plant. I started by germinating around 8 seeds and picked the best 4 to later narrow down to 1 plant. 1 of the seeds stood out amongst the rest with a strong tap root that only took a day or 2 to emerge.
This will cover week 1-5 of veg. Around week 2 or 3 I got rid of the 2 weakest plants. I had a few set backs throughout the first couple of weeks I over fed my plants and they got nutrient burn and had to be flushed which set me back around a week. One of the plants stood out amongst the rest being much taller and growing much faster as well as recovering from the nutrient burn faster, having no transplant shock and recovering from topping really quickly. I used low stress training to spread out the branches of the plants and evened out the canopy, they also bushed out really nicely.
Plants were transplanted into final pots on week 6. I've narrowed down to 1 plant after seeing first signs of sex. The plant I chose was the strongest from the very beginning.
Not much to note other than she's started forming buds so it's time to start adding Green Sensation and stop adding Power Roots and Pure Zym. Scrog net has been removed as it's been more of a hindrance than a help as it's not providing any support. Removing it has allowed me to spread out the branches to increase air flow, light penetration and even out the canopy.
She's doing really well, I messed up over the weekend and accidently left my fan pointing directly at my plant while I was away, this caused some wind burn but it wasn't too bad and she's bounced back straight away. I've been dealing with some humidity issues so I've done some defoliation, it could be risky this late but was necessary to open up the canopy to some airflow. I haven't had problems since.
Mostly going well so far some yellowing leaves which is worrying me a little. Probably not the best idea but I've had to strip her of some leaves as the humidity below the canopy has been getting way too high.
Had some issues with potassium and phosphorous deficiency last week, it has since been stabilised. I'm a little worried that the buds aren't getting any fatter but I've got another few weeks to go and I'm not using any top shelf genetics so I didn't expect anything great.
Week 7 of flower. I've made some mistakes throughout the grow that have hindered yield. Not far off harvest now, I'm going to start monitoring trichomes this week and depending on what I see I'll either start flushing at the end of this week or next week.
She's now been flushed and she'll be fed only distilled water from now on. I plan to chop her down around Sunday. Had a little leak while flushing so she's been moved into a smaller tent for the last week of flower, while I clean out the main tent ready for drying. I also accidently snapped a branch at the knuckle so that's been chopped for an early taster rather than taping it up and hoping for the best.
So first grow is over and done with, I've learned a lot. From nutrient burn to nutrient deficiency I experienced it all, but we learn from our mistakes and that's what that first grow is all about. She was cut down on 05/06 and hung upside down in a small grow tent to dry. I'll check back in once she's done drying with weight and smoke results.✌️💚
@@WagwanFam420, just keep a close way on her near the end.. usually the last few weeks of flowering.. if that’s a worry. I prefer not to use the word… ✌️
