If there's any theme to growing in Coco, it's "Cal-Mag, Cal-Mag, Cal-Mag" - particularly with respect to the Brothers Grimm plants. Having cycled Terpinator into the feeding schedule, I am greeted with a faint, pleasant aroma every time I open the tent 😊. The Apricot Oreoz, in particular, is growing at a much slower rate than her sisters - she's at the same rate of development (in terms of nodes, fan leaves, etc.) but substantially smaller. There's lots of time for her to catch up with her sisters, but she could just be a smaller plant... I will note that the Anesia plants, in general, are not growing quite as quickly or robustly as those from Brothers Grimm. Still, I'm very excited to see what happens in the coming weeks, particularly as I prepare to Top the plants at some point in the next week or so. In frutherance, I plan to extend the Vegetative Cycle by about a week to allow for further vertical growth and time to heal from any stress induced by the topping. Next step... LST.

Grow Questions

Does anyone have any experience with growing Anesia's Apricot Oreoz seeds? The plant seems to be experiencing a Cal-Mag related nutrient deficiency that the others are not. All plants are being grown under the same conditions. Any suggestions?

She may not have needed the same amounts of food. Always check your runoff waters ph and ec before reacting. Ph can creep when to much salts start building up in the substrate

@FarmerJon, el mejor fertilizante es, la materia gris! Cuando quieras te enseño a hacer: Humato Blood u otros, tu bolsillo lo va a agradecer, y tus plantas también! 😁

@FarmerJon, hmm, keep in mind that overwatering is the most common problem & use a ph/ec tester if you use chemical nutritions, hope thats a little bit helpful:)

I am not sure why but when I try to look at your new diary it says it isn't even there. but i've followed it I can see that it exists. I've seen it recommended and I can see it has been harvested but it just will not let me go in there to look at it. Hopefully you had another good grow. 👍

@WatercanWampa, I'm sorry to hear that, buddy. It was a good grow, and with fairly decent results, too. With that said, the next grow will be featuring some exotic breeds that'll hopefully delight anyone who stumbles into my profile. If you can't see the most recent diary by later tonight, I can just send some pictures over to you directly. Let me know.

I am curious if the Blackberry and black cherry lineage will try to put on some nice dark purple hues here towards these final weeks.
FarmerJon
FarmerJoncommented2 years ago
@WatercanWampa, I definitely hope so. I'm kicking myself a little because I wrote off Purpinator as a largely useless supplement for people who are obsessed with all things purple... only to realize that I, too, desire the "purplest" (not sure if that's even a word) of nugs. So I've only been supplementing with Purpinator for a couple of weeks. I don't think it'll be enough time - particularly at this later stage - to heavily influence the coloration of the plants, but some of the fan leaves are starting to "purple up", as it were, so I suppose I'll take that small victory. As to the Frozen Black Cherry in particular, its pistils are taking a bit longer to darken up. I don't know whether this is a feature of the strain or a bug in terms of its development - it's fattening up just fine, but her pistils are white like pure wavelengths from the sun. So we'll see what happens, I suppose. Thanks, again, for writing.
