Morning 4/18/23 - The baby Grimm Mints is alive and wants to open its eyes.
Morning 4/20/23 - Day 3, I removed the Humidity dome. I want as much light as possible plus it's time for the leaves to breath.
Evening 4/21/23 - Swapped light source from Two Bar LED for cloning, which was weak and led to a bit of stretch to a Fluorowing CFL lamp. The fluorowing is great for photosynthesis, dark green leaves and keeping the internodal spacing noice n toight.
Morning 4/24/23 - Day 7, Roots are are about half way down the solo cup. I have the clear solo cup inside the black one so I can check root growth.
Morning 4/26/23 - Day 9, took photo. Roots are almost to the bottom of the solo cup.
Morning 4/28/23 - Day 11, took photo. This Grimm Mints = Kush Mints x Pineapple C99, is growing really fast and healthy.
Mid Day 4/29/23 - Day 12, took photos. Transplanted into 6.6 Gallon AutoPot XL using Build A Soil 3.0 Recipe with added rice hulls for more aeration
Morning 5/5/23 - Day 18. Finally getting out of the transplant shock. I didn't do it well. Lights have been on 24 hours to keep tent temp stable. I think it helps the roots reach when they are a bit warmer.
Morning 5/12/23 - Day 25. There's a bit of yellowing. I still haven't watered these Autopots because they have so much soil. They do feel like they are getting lighter.
Morning 5/15/23 - Day 28. Yesterday I watered and added SF beneficial nematodes along with a tiny bit of recharge. It seems to have like it.
Morning 5/19/23 - Day 32. The AutoPot XL 2 Pot with AirPots System has been initiated. The Grimm Mints rooted weird and has a strange curve to its main stem. The growth is strong so hopefully it doesn't need too much added support in the future due to the curve.
Morning 5/22/23 - Day 35. The Grimm Mints XX has weirdly flowered. I'm still on 18/6 and there are preflowers at main junctions all over the plant. I am seeing calyxes and pistils poppin, wth.
Morning 5/26/23 - Day 39. Took photo. Last night I defoliated the largest fan leaves to get light to the lower tops. I moved the lights up and increased to 75% power. It's going pretty well so far.
Morning 6/2/23 - Day 46. Took Photo. I turned off the AutoPot reservoir valve so that the pot bottoms are dry. I plan to top water and feed tomorrow morning. I have been clipping fan leaves that cover tops below them and removing lower branching growth off of the main branches. I am working on getting healthy tops but keeping leaves to help the plant breathe and grow a healthy root system. I also do not want to over stress the plant. I will thin this plant out and then the next day it seems to be just as full. I purchased a dehumidifier in prep for flower. RH is hanging around 60%. That's too damn high!
Morning 6/6/23 - Day 50. I found the reservoir on the AutoPot filled almost to the top. The valve did not shut off on time. I pumped out the water and cleaned both silicone plugs. It seemed to work. I have flipped to 12/12. Today is Day 1 of 12/12.
Morning 6/7/23 - Day 51. Took photos. Added a Dehumidifier last night which has about 1/4 inch of water but looks like it did nothing to the RH level in the tent. :(
Evening 6/21/23 - Day65. Flowers are starting to form. I cannot keep up with the trimming. After this photo I removed a grocery bag full of leaves and lower branching growth.
Morning 6/30/23 - Day 74. The freaking AutoPot keeps overfilling. Luckily it gets right to the top of the pan and doesn't overflow into the tent. I Turned off the water flow valve. I sucked out the excess with a pump. I removed the aquavalve, cleaned it, dried it along with both silicone plugs and reinstalled it. I turned the water flow valve back on and watched it fill to the proper level and stop. This is the second time I have done this. I think the reservoir may be a bit too high above the pots and it's created an excessive pressure differential. I may try lowering the height of the res. The Grimm Mints is stacking up quickly! The fan leaves are even getting coated with trichomes before calyxes have even developed. This cultivar is bonkers. I am doing another Brothers Grimm Seeds cultivar on my next grow.
Morning 7/2/23 - Day 76. I top dressed with Build A Soil Craft Blend and Build A Flower Topdress. I added some clover cover crop seeds.
Morning 7/6/23 - Day 80. I've been watering from the top every morning just a bit to get the feeder roots fed.
Morning 7/10/23 - Day 84. This Grimm Mints keeps getting bigger every time I look at it. The buds are getting heavier so I have been bending and shaking the branches to build up some strength. I've kinked a few slightly in the direction I want them growing to increase light penetration and air flow. I've used some plastic plant benders to help space things a bit.
Morning 7/21/23 - Day 95. I think we are about ready to harvest. I may do one day of drought before to kick in the drying process while it's still ripening.
