Besides my outdoor grow (see my other diaries)
I'm also going to grow one plant indoors in my mini-tent (40x40x120cm) with a 65 watt led light.
this will be my first non-autoflower grow, and I've choosen the Royal Queen Seeds Sour Diesel strain to be the lucky seed to become the new inhabitant of my tent.
a few months ago was the first time I've grown indoors, I've grown 3 plants in this small tent, which turned out to be a little too small for 3 plants, so I'm curious how it wil go with only one plant in the tent. With a LED light of only 65 watts I'm not going for the biggest harvest, but it would be nice if I could surpass the 47 grams of my first harvest. But most of all I'm hoping to have fun again and grow some quality weed.
unfortunately the Sour Diesel isn't doing very well, compared to the 3 other plants that I'm growing at the same time. I hope she comes through, and starts doing better soon.
Day 13: plant is getting a little bigger but stil she's not doing great. I've started germination of a new seed (RQC blue cheese, I unfortunately only had one Sour Diesel seed) as a replacement, I'll give this plant a little more time though, but I have a feeling this will not become a great plant.
i've germinated 4 plants 15 days ago all in the same conditions. 4 of them are doing great (see other diaries). Unfortunately this Sour Diesel is running behind on the others. Only being half as big as the others. Would you keep or replace this plant?
Keep the soil near the plant dry and only water from the bottom from now to let her develop a healthy root system.
Just place the pot inside a bowl with 1 inch of water for a minute. And repeat this after 2 days.
The plant needs to search for the water and will develop a larger root system. Plants gain the same volume under as above the ground. You will see results really fast and she will catch up within a week.
day 28: placed the plant in a bigger pot. she slowly seems to get normal leaves and a normal grow.
day 34: she's doing fine, finally. started 2 data ago with some training.
Day 45: I've added the scrog-net in the tent. the Sour Diesel is doing great after a very slow and hard start.
next to the Sour Diesel I'm growing a Blue Cheese (RQS) in the tent.
The light schedule is set on 12/12 since 1,5 week. First signs of flowering are visible.
day 110, yesterday I harvested the upper tops of the plant, they where ready, I keep the rest of the plant alive till they are ready.
a week ago I also harvested the other plant (on the right side on previous pictures) that was growing in the tent. (RQS Blue Cheese).
This strain is one of my all time favourite smokes (vapes). it tastes exactly what you might expect from a straw n calles 'sour diesel'. I will definitely grow this strain again in the future!
harvested the 2nd (bottom) part of the plant. It isn't the biggest harvest, but that can't be expected from only a 65watt led light. but the tops are looking and smelling really nice.
first part of the harvest is already dried and now curing in a jar, this was a total of 15 gram. so together with his second part I expect a total of +/- 35-30 gram from this plant.
Good luck with the photoperiods bro! Trying my hand at autos for the first time at the mo (rqs f1 titans) hope all goes good 👍 and maybe try adding another light during flowering to bump your harvest numbers a bit 🙂
