Really excited to start this grow!! I'd picked up these seeds late last year and grew a plant from seed to harvest in 67 days. It just finishing curing and is a fantastic, powerful smoke.
I've got 2 seeds currently germinating and am definitely going to document.
Both seedlings popped right up and look solid after a week. Slowly introducing basic nutrients. In my handful of previous grows a common problem (aside from being clumsy and decapitating plants accidentally) is over-complicating things. For this grow I'm going to keep it simple and use Bonticare Pure Blend Pro throughout.
That's it for the week.
Hey everybody. Week 2 is in the books and everything is moving along smoothly. The plants' growth started to take off this week. Both look extremely healthy and green. I'm going to ease back on the nutrients for the next week or so. The FoxFarm soil I'm using is already loaded with nutrients, which should be plenty for the plant through most of the vegetative period. Trying to keep it simple.
I was debating whether or not to top the plants and then LST, but after weighing the pros and cons I decided not to top. I'll be starting LST this week.
That's it for the week. I'm looking forward to posting pics next week!!
Another week down and the ladies are flourishing. I started low-stress training this week and everything looks good. I re-started nutrients again to help plants recover faster and stronger from the bending. They are becoming more thirsty and I recently got my first whiff of that pleasant cannabis plant smell :-)
The plan for the upcoming week is to continue my current track. I will eventually be moving the plants to a bigger tent for flowering.
Growth for both plants continues to be strong and healthy. Both transitioned into the flowering stage this week and I gave them both a trim and tightened them up. I'm expecting both to stretch significantly this week. They're starting to smell really nice too!
I increased the nutrients and switched to Botanicare flowering nutes for the remainder of the grow. That's it for the week!
Last week the growth continued to pick up significantly. Both plants are looking very healthy and filling out nicely. Both are getting thirstier as I slowly up the Botanicare nutrients, and several flowering sites are popping up. The smell is getting stronger as well.
I plan to stay on course this upcoming week and am excited to see what this fast-growing Sweet Seeds strain does this week!
Another great week of growth. These ladies are coming along very nicely! I increased the light to 20 hrs/day and continue to defoliate as needed. The colas are starting to fill out quickly. I debated throwing up a screen to open up colas to more light, but they seemed to be spread out enough where the light's penetrating everything. The plants seem to love the FoxFarms soil with Botanicare nutes. It's helped keep things easy.
This week will be spent feeding and defoliating as the plants continue filling out and bulking up. Thanks for checking out my diary :-)
Another week in the books and these 2 ladies are coming along better than I could have hoped. They're healthy, strong, and putting on some weight. The smell is getting stronger and smells fantastic!
I'm going to stay on course this week and continue the current feeding schedule to let the buds continue bulking up. I'm defoliating a handful of leaves every other day and have removed the LST ties for the remainder of the grow. Thanks for checking out my diary!!
Another week in the books. Both plants are looking extremely healthy. The structures are solid and filling out nicely! The buds continue to pack on weight and I'm defoliating extra leaves every other day. The pistils have slowly started changing to amber and I'm estimating a harvest in about 3 weeks. I'm continuing to feed with the Botanicare nutrients and am going to continue letting them run as-is for the remainder of the grow.
This strain has been relatively easy and very fast to grow. Thanks for checking out my diary!
Week 9 has passed and these ladies are looking incredible. The buds continue to fill out and are looking absolutely beautiful! Last week I had estimated starting a flush at around 11 weeks, but noticed the trichomes had started turning cloudy, so I started a flush yesterday and will continue flushing with tap water (PH 6.1) while I monitor the trichomes daily. I'm estimating now to be harvesting these ladies in another week or so. 70 days from seed to harvest is impressive.
This strain has been extremely easy to grow and has produced incredible results. I'm excited to carry these through the home stretch and see where we are next week. Thanks for stopping by!!
😁
This was an amazing week as I harvested on day 69 (I could have done on day 67 or 68, but I'm still a 10 year-old at heart sometimes 😏). I was hoping to make it to 10 weeks, but the trichome tips had started turning amber, so I had to move fast. These plants grew fast and strong. The colas' formation over the last 2 weeks increased bud sizes by at least 30%. Buds are big and dense. I really love this strain from Sweet Seeds and will definitely be growing it again. The smell is strong and unbelievable. Words can't do it justice.
Both plants are hanging right now and I'll give a final update in a week or two when they've dried. This was an incredibly fun and easy grow!!!
I harvested both plants 10 days ago and the buds have finished drying and are in mason jars curing for the next month. Total dry weight of the 2 plants' buds was an impressive 193.18 grams, just short of 7 ounces. After harvest I did a wet trim, which was unbelievably quick and easy. Not many leaves at all. I was able to trim both plants in under 2 hours. The smell is incredible, and getting better!
After the curing is finished, I'll update with the smoke test. Thank you Sweet Seeds for such a fantastic strain!
