Other: Mycoterra Pandora liquid and Mycoterra Kraken granules. Handmade fertilizer from chaga mushroom herbal extract (boiled for 15 minutes) and grinded old and dried fan leaves from the last season, bean coffee, spirulina, onion husk, earthworm juice and molasses to ferment. It will mature 2 months before I'll use it in the flowering stage. Only rainwater used. Tent is 52 x 33 cm big. Of course I am using heating cable with thermostat.

Using old, dried fan leaves to feed your plant is a certain way to encourage diseases! Sorry.

Adding old fan leaves to your soil mix is almost guaranteed to invite diseases! Onion skins/husks are another no-no and I am not a fan of coffee grounds either. Sorry.

Growing very fast! Please notice the difference between the 2 girls: the once smaller plant is now a monster. Of course I am using heating cable with thermostat. Fertilizer twice a week. Placed the scrog net in the tent. Topped the bigger plant and made a clone of it. Used Clonex rooting hormone gel to let it grow. The very next day I did the same with the smaller one. Used a plastic bottle to make a simple propagator.

Looking good, growing fast. Needed some LST on the smaller plant - for the curious ones I used bobbypins to place the strings. The clones are growing, but didn't see any roots yet. Used clonex rooting gel & clonex mist.

What do you think, are my plants ready to change the light cycle? Or would better ask: would you change the light cycle now or wait for some more grow? The smaller plant is growing very slowly, and the new branches are very sensitive and breakable, so I can't train it with scrog

Hi buddy. You're doing an amazing job. Id love to share a scrog link with you. Your top half 60% is a ok. Below. Needs more veg time pal. You can slow the top half by topping her nodes at the end. This will allow you to tuck them for 2-3 weeks they'll grow a few cm while your lower 30-35% can catch up? You're doing a good job. So often I see scrogs done with autos, or not topped. I'm going to do my own. You're flying mate. But top half is ready. Can be slowed as I'm sure you'll know. As you're done a proper scrog and they're rare on here. Good Growing and I look forward to seen your progress. I'll try send that link to you before I log off .as I'm banned for 7hrs otherwise lol.

Unsulphured organic sugar cane molasses is the main fertilizer now. Plus an good composted handmade fertilizer I did once I germinated the seeds (solution for this see in other weeks). I also use earthworm juice and mycoterra kraken granules, but liked the mycoterra pandora liquid much better. The soil was mixed with black pellets guanokalong at the beginning. The lamp is placed now higher (about 7 centimeters difference) - that means 40 cm above the canopy.

Molasses is still the main ingredient of the fertilizers I feeding them. I just have only a small amount of the "ready" Advanced Nutrients Bloom fertilizer. I will still go on Mycoterra Kraken, Earthworm juice and Molasses. And of course my handmade fertilizer - it stinks like an 3-days-old cup of very strong green tea - this comes from the wakame seaweed ! Extra tip: The smell of wakame is much stronger than the cannabis smell! So you don't need any carbon filters etc. 😆😋 So the molasses does: I once done the water with molasses mix and leaved it for 2 days - it began to ferment! The smell of this remembers me of beer making process with a little bit of the very fresh smell of a essential oil from green carrot tops. Yes, I know - these descriptions are the bomb, haha! Reduced the temperature on my thermostat gear: from 32 to 26'C to see what happens - the reduction should help improve the flowering. As you can see some of the leaves are broken - caused accidentally by watering the plant! I am trying to do my best on this small area 😅

I have decided last week to stop defoliation. But I have seen, there are still many fan leaves that could be removed. So I decided to defoliate since day 109. And I have counted how many cones are there - so there are 66 cones.

This week I stopped to feed the smaller one which is maturing faster and doing now flushing. The bigger one is still fed because the flowers are looking too young and will propably improve their size. I think I'll do the harvest of the bigger one on 20th of August. The smaller one goes in ca. 5-8 days maybe I think.

Very aromatic and good smelling strain, easy to grow, very resistant to diseases. No problems at all. Can't wait until the harvest will dry! And I am now re-vegging the bigger girl at 24h cycle, so let's see what happens.

I like the custom grow space! Is that a windshield reflector for the sides? You mentioned a heating cable, how are you using it? Following...
PinkFloydLover
PinkFloydLovercommented2 years ago
@@David369, I think the added heat should depend on many factors, and the main is: the strain. Bola Mintz has strong sativa genes, so she likes to grow in hot environment! Thank you very much!
David369
David369commented2 years ago
@PinkFloydLover, Very cool, I might try the reflector idea myself :) So for adding heat I considered using my seedling heat mat under or even around the fabric pots but was worried the heat would dry out the dirt faster killing root ends. Your's look just fine though. Still undecided on that one. Happy growing!
PinkFloydLover
PinkFloydLovercommented2 years ago
@@@@David369, hello David, nice to hear from you! Last season I used a silver thermal blanket sticked with tape, but this time I had no time to do that. So yes! I took an old windshield reflector and simply fasten with the fan😂 But as everybody can see it works great. The "tent" door are also white inside, white is also good to reflect the light. The heating cable can be seen in week 2 photos - I placed it under the felt pot and heat it with thermostat up to 32'C. Next time I'll take a photo of it. Inside the "thent" I have a plastic pad and have placed the cable in a form little bit like a zigzag pattern. Greetings
the end.
