June 24: nice and sunny again after lots of rain. To keep the outer colas from getting too high, I supercropped and then secured with stretchy floral tape. This is easy for the plant to deal with despite being an HST move and safer than trying LST past the point of flexibility versus stiffness. This keeps outer colas from assuming apical dominance over the inner four colas. June 25: second foliar with FPJ and potassium silicate this morning. FPJ never seems to need more than two applications. The manifold shape is actually pretty good despite having lost the initial apical growth tip way back at the start. Started another bucketful of lazy compost tea this time with a handful of shredded coco coir to give bacteria some media (‘fiber’) to grow on. June 26: used compost tea after sunny 27 C day. She’s noticeably bigger than yesterday and almost an inch taller. Fast vegetative growth should take hold now. 👍👍 June 28: she’s hitting her stride and looking much better than a week ago.
