The CC wants water every 2 days now, the most I've ever watered a plant and she's going through a gallon at a time. I waited 3 days in Wk5 and she turned into a droopy drama queen so I'm checking her daily. She's also hungry as hell even after I went from FWWF to FWF last week as well. I'll stick to that and again- just keep checking daily because she's on her own W and F schedule. I usually try to keep the whole tent on the same sched but the CC wanted more water sooner, so I'm reading signs (leaves) a little better. The 2 LAC are plugging away, and chunking up much more than the CC, almost more than any other grow but the CC has been busy this week and caught up in cotton ball health. Tops have fluffed up bigly, so she may not turn into full blown donkey-dongs like the LAC probably will, but there's a lot of big fluffy growth down each (of about 20) branches, while each LAC has maybe 6-8. I'll be happy with the yield for both but I should get some insight into how topping, and maybe "over-topping" can affect yield (I topped the CC 2x more than the LAC). LAC #2 (back left lady) is showing a little orange in her buds already. A little shorter but just as inclined to donkey-dong as LAC #1. Thanks for visiting and good luck with your girls! 👊😤

Thanks! My last 2 grows seem to dry too quickly. I dry in a shed but rh and temps are decent- 70-75F & 50-60rh. Even tried letting 1 plant go 6 days instead of 5 before trimming and the jar never climbed over 54% after. Is this normal- should I & how could I slow the dry down?

The ideal environment for drying is to try to maintain 60F and 60% humidity with a fan blowing air GENTLY around the buds, not directly at them. But that still is not going to guarantee a long drying period... airy buds, for example, will dry much faster than buds that are hard, dense rocks... When you jar them up, you can put in some Boveda 62 which will ensure the moisture content of the jar... you could try Grove Bags (they're great but too expensive for me)... I've never had a clue what humidity is inside my jars (although I DO use the Boveda when I can)... if my buds are too dry, I will put them in a ziplock bag with a slice of bread (like you would soften rock hard brown sugar)... some people use a leaf or two of lettuce... if they're too wet, I put them on a plate somewhere and let them dry out a bit more. You're worried about the length of your drying - there's no "magic" number of days, believe me! I judge when the buds are ready to be jarred by gently squeezing them - they should be slightly spongy but not overly so... in time, you'll get to know the right feel.... that might take 4 days, it might take 7, it might take 10.... The drying time for my first grow was only 3 days... but the product was stupendous.... my most recent harvest dried in 6 days... the drying time does not affect the taste, only the smokeability... dry buds will be harsher and used up more quickly, wetter buds won't light as well nor keep going without re-lighting... Good luck... I'd just suggest you not try to achieve absolute perfection - roll a joint and relax! :-D

a. Chop & hang the day I leave, ac dry in a tent for 7 days b. A friend can water mid-week once c. Water the day I leave but lights OFF for those 7 days I prefer "c." for $ + safety (np running an ac for a dry tent but I'd like to cut the lights) Any risks to this idea? THANKS!

A is the best decision. C is the worst. You will get total bud rot in this case. B is why not :)
