Pretty excited for a strain I know I love (CC aka GMO Cookies) and for another strain that's growing so crazy well and showing signs of becoming a monster! Throwing a bunch of pics up today. After I transplant going into flower I don't feed for at least 10-12 days, usually closer to 20 days. Alternating Fish Shit and Recharge every water/feed. Thanks for visiting!

Super stretchy and stacking! LAC are some of the most vigorous, healthy strains I've grown. Didn't top/FIM as much as I did with the CC so it led to 6-10 big, hairy stalks that are stacking like crazy compared to about 18-20 smaller but frosty CC tops. Thanks for visiting and happy harvests!

Super stretchy and stacking! LAC are some of the most vigorous and active strains I've grown. Didn't top/FIM as much as the CC and it led to 6-10 big, hairy stalks that are stacking like crazy. I alternate FS and Recharge every watering. WWFWWF with 5 days in between W's from whenever I transplant into 3 gallon pots, up to Wk4 or 5 when I WWFWWF, still but every 4 days. The LAC stayed on a 5-day schedule for about 1 week longer than the CC. I pick them up the day before a scheduled W or F in case they've suddenly changed their minds (aka get big and thirsty enough) and need it sooner. I may have over-watered the CC in veg and/or man-handled them when putting up the trellis. My adhd go the better of me and I just... kept... messing with them. Not to the point of damage, but they were depressed after and just took a few days to spring back. They look 1/2 week or more behind the LAC - and they have more tops than the LAC but the LAC have much better inter-nodal stacking, fluffier cotton-ball growth and happier larger sun-worshiping leaves.

Thanks! My last 2 grows seem to dry too quickly. I dry in a shed but rh and temps are decent- 70-75F & 50-60rh. Even tried letting 1 plant go 6 days instead of 5 before trimming and the jar never climbed over 54% after. Is this normal- should I & how could I slow the dry down?

The ideal environment for drying is to try to maintain 60F and 60% humidity with a fan blowing air GENTLY around the buds, not directly at them. But that still is not going to guarantee a long drying period... airy buds, for example, will dry much faster than buds that are hard, dense rocks... When you jar them up, you can put in some Boveda 62 which will ensure the moisture content of the jar... you could try Grove Bags (they're great but too expensive for me)... I've never had a clue what humidity is inside my jars (although I DO use the Boveda when I can)... if my buds are too dry, I will put them in a ziplock bag with a slice of bread (like you would soften rock hard brown sugar)... some people use a leaf or two of lettuce... if they're too wet, I put them on a plate somewhere and let them dry out a bit more. You're worried about the length of your drying - there's no "magic" number of days, believe me! I judge when the buds are ready to be jarred by gently squeezing them - they should be slightly spongy but not overly so... in time, you'll get to know the right feel.... that might take 4 days, it might take 7, it might take 10.... The drying time for my first grow was only 3 days... but the product was stupendous.... my most recent harvest dried in 6 days... the drying time does not affect the taste, only the smokeability... dry buds will be harsher and used up more quickly, wetter buds won't light as well nor keep going without re-lighting... Good luck... I'd just suggest you not try to achieve absolute perfection - roll a joint and relax! :-D

LAC are growing huge. Temps have been nearly perfect but I'm in a shed so I'm always turning a fan on, opening a door, etc. I've used an a/c this and last week - I only need it when temps get into the mid-70's during the day (lights out) or 60+ at night. CC are looking good too but the inter-nodal spaces are a little far apart. She's got double the tops though and all 3 CC plants I've grown were super potent and dense. Thanks for visiting! I included my feed sched (really for my future self but if it can help anyone - have at it- heavily borrowed from Ezzjaybruh who has a ton of success growing with Coco Loco and just a fyi: my grow style is 100% built on the teachings of "Welcome to the Grow Tent" on youtube. If you're new to all this - check out GT!). Happy harvests folks! 😤👊

The CC wants water every 2 days now, the most I've ever watered a plant and she's going through a gallon at a time. I waited 3 days in Wk5 and she turned into a droopy drama queen so I'm checking her daily. She's also hungry as hell even after I went from FWWF to FWF last week as well. I'll stick to that and again- just keep checking daily because she's on her own W and F schedule. I usually try to keep the whole tent on the same sched but the CC wanted more water sooner, so I'm reading signs (leaves) a little better. The 2 LAC are plugging away, and chunking up much more than the CC, almost more than any other grow but the CC has been busy this week and caught up in cotton ball health. Tops have fluffed up bigly, so she may not turn into full blown donkey-dongs like the LAC probably will, but there's a lot of big fluffy growth down each (of about 20) branches, while each LAC has maybe 6-8. I'll be happy with the yield for both but I should get some insight into how topping, and maybe "over-topping" can affect yield (I topped the CC 2x more than the LAC). LAC #2 (back left lady) is showing a little orange in her buds already. A little shorter but just as inclined to donkey-dong as LAC #1. Thanks for visiting and good luck with your girls! 👊😤

The CC (1 on the right) is still going through a gallon of water every 2 days (so WxxW), she's also starting to fade pretty hard. The 2 LAC on the left are continuing the journey to donkey-dongs. I'll hit them with this light feed again in week 8 because they're all going to week 9-10. But I'll stop feeding after week 8 and just give them water for week 9-10. 2 weeks! (maybe 3) Some light defol'ing to just give the lower growth more light. No dying leaves yet, just yellowing and fading at (hopefully) the right time. Happy growing friends!

Lots of fading and yellowing but I still expect all three to go another 2 weeks- just too many wild hairs and not a lot of amber yet. LAC are dense and huge, CC is frosty and bright green and they look like the real deal but I'm honestly pretty frustrated, and feeling like I'm due for a win after being unimpressed with my last 2 runs (most recently 2 Ethos Planet of the Grapes in a 2x3). Concerned that seeds maybe can't compete unless you phenohunt. This will be my last run until July 1 because of travel so we'll see. I'd love to have a 2nd successful run but potency has been an issue even with good genetics. I'll know more in 2-3 weeks. Thanks for visiting!

Not much has changed this week but the colors. Leaves are getting drained of life in Wk9 but after 2 runs that were chopped too soon (amongst other things) I'm wondering if my lights are maybe 6in too high. My guru/mentor-without-knowing-it says "raise them up as high as you can and never move them, just dial it in" but I"m only working with 480w here and after removing my inline fan for space they're over 20" away, maybe 24. If you know, please just leave a comment. The plan is to lower them by 6" next run, and keep the same plan for turning them up. I'm unhappy with anything but cross-eyed couch-locked weed so that may be part of needing 9-10 weeks but next run, as dialed in as I am, should definitively nail down what's the best hanging distance. You know, you go into this thinking "soil, water, sunshine- how hard could it be?" and a year later, if you don't give up, you can't believe how much trial and error is involved in figuring out about 20 critical variables - from how much and how often to water, what medium, what temps, when to chop, light strength- holy hell what a long 2 years it's been. One more thing- Cali Connection has proven itself more than worthy with this grow. Yes, I'm a growing genius (no, I'm not) but these LAC have been as big and hairy (in a good way), fat and frosty (not the frostiest but frosty) as anything I've grown. Only topped 1-2 times for about 6-8 donkey dong colas, so I might try more topping to get more dongs next time. Stay tuned for the smoke report- Grow Diaries is FULL of descriptions about "floral" and "citrus" and "gas" and WAY TOO LITTLE about "it f'd me up in the head for 2 hours" or "similar to Blue Dream," etc. Thanks for visiting and good luck out there! Just Sweet this week, but with such extreme fading when I want to push them another 10 days, I wish I'd fed a little more in Week 8 (not sure I fed at all in fact). Should be fine. The tricky part is leaving for vacation in 10 days and wondering if I should chop and leave, or let them go (maybe turn the light off for a week, water them up to the rim, and come back ready to chop?). I'll ask in the "questions" if you have an opinion. 👊😤

a. Chop & hang the day I leave, ac dry in a tent for 7 days b. A friend can water mid-week once c. Water the day I leave but lights OFF for those 7 days I prefer "c." for $ + safety (np running an ac for a dry tent but I'd like to cut the lights) Any risks to this idea? THANKS!

A is the best decision. C is the worst. You will get total bud rot in this case. B is why not :)

If I wasn't leaving town on Friday I would probably chop tomorrow (today is day 65 of flower) because I should've fed more, longer. Lesson learned. The tricky part was deciding what to do when they lined up to finish just days before I'm heading out of town for 7 days. So I made the decision to push them 3-4 days longer, but since I want as much couch-lock as I can get, it shouldn't be a problem. Lots of dying leaves this week. Trimming should be a dream. Nothing but water for 2 weeks now but clearly I should've fed more for longer. I'll be going 65-70 with all my photos from now on but I'll also feed longer! Thanks for visiting! So damn excited for the harvest but I'll post numbers and a review when I get back! Thanks! Happy harvesting amigos!

I lost about 10g to bud rot days before harvest, but I was able to harvest on a Friday (and hung them whole), leave them and go on vacation for 7 days and they were ready to chop on day 8 (even though I couldn't get to them until day 9). Watering close to harvest day probably helped to not dry them out too soon, so they needed the whole 8 days, because it doesn't seem to matter when/how I dry in this climate, my buds are always ready for jars after 6-7 days (I'm in the SE but closer to Washington DC and that flavor of swampy weather). So many things went right- but what I learned: I need to let plants in veg recover fully from topping and some strains are happier with just a couple of toppings/fim'ings, I need to keep the light intensity up for the lower growth, and I need to keep humidity down in late flower. The girls need more food in transition, and in flower (throughout) but checking PPM with Coco Loco has been confusing so I probably won't start with my next run. Finally, with 2 good runs and a lot of confidence about getting "dialed in" I'm ready for the big beans: InHouse Jelly Breath, Exotic Genetix Gary Poppins and Robin Hood Apple Cups in Solos now. Thanks for visiting and good luck out there! Anything that keeps you from visiting the dispo is a victory! 10oz (total) should get me to the next harvest, or close enough. Happy Harvests homies!

LAC were topped less, and grew impressive dongs because of it. Quality genetics and a decent yields but I'm in it for the quality and as much as I like this strain, the Chem Cookies is very nearly the same strain (Chemdawg x GSC) with LAC (GSC x LA Affie) that I'd probably just grow CC again, and hope for more foxtailing, prob give her more light and food in flower, etc. The GMO pheno for CC is just too good and the regular pheno is still a little more potent than the LAC. Hung whole, dried for 9 days (shoulda been 8) and jarred after a 9 1/2 week run in flower.
