Week 2 for 5 of 6. Week 1 for 1. First time growing autoflowers so this will be interesting. The ladies will be going in and out of a 6x6 pop up greenhouse throughout the season, depending on climate conditions. I live in the Bay Area so the weather has been a little all over the place lately. I’d expect to have them outside, full time, by the end of May. Using 5 gallon cloth pots, filled with Fox Farm Ocean Forest and a solo cups worth of Happy Frog in the middle, where the seeds were sewn directly into soil. The ration of perlite to soil is about 1:4. Had to hit ‘em with a little bit of Captain Jack’s neem as one seedling got visited by what I think was a very small number of aphids. The 2 week olds are about 2.5 inches high and seem to be developing nicely. The one week old was germinated in a damp paper towel and then sewn into the soil. It’s coming along pretty good for its age. I have a small space heater I primarily use at night. Will use Fox Farm nutes in a couple more weeks or so. As there is still plenty of food in the soils. Just using quality filtered city punch for my water source and ph to 6.5. Pretty simple setup . I will add additional photos and updates as time permits.
@TangoNCash,
Thanks and hope your grow is going well. Not sure that I will do autos again next year. A lot will depend on the dry yield I get. If I average less than an ounce a plant, I will not consider them worth continuing as I can easily get a pound or more quality bud on a full photo. I like their compact size and the fact I will have a harvest by early July. That being said, they are much more finicky. Next year I can envision doing one early crop of 10 autos and starting 2 full photos at the same time. That might be a better mix as it will give me a nice, early harvest head stash during the summer and yield me plenty for the rest of the year with the full photos.
