Thanks to RQS for providing the Titan F1 seeds for this new grow adventure 🙌 @james from RQS included an Easy Start germination kit which makes germinating the seeds a breeze. I soaked it with water, mixed with the Bacto-mix, put the seed in the plug and it germinated within 2 days. I hesitated to plant the seedplug in the final pot, which is larger then the pots I normally use. So I decided to add the seedplug to a paper cup to prevent over watering the little seedling in its early grow stage. I'm really exited about this strain and looking forward to see how it grows and also if all plants develop in a consistent way. To test it out I'm growing the second seed in my greenhouse. Checkout my other diary to see how the other Titan F1 develops. Now that the first fan leaves are showing I noticed that she has three leaves per node instead of two. I wonder if she will develop three branches per node as well. Which would be cool as there is more place for bud development. The more armpits the merrier, at least for Cannabis 😋 At the end of the first week/germination I can say I'm really impressed on how fast this strain germinates and grows. Two nodes already and a really strong stem to support them! The fact that this seed turns out to be a trifoliate is really exciting. I read about them before but this is my first encounter in the wild.

The seedling is growing in a nice and steady pace. I try to keep the humidity above 60% and the fan is on 50% of the time to help her grow a strong stem. She will probably stay in the small cup this week, and after that I will move her to the 15L Airpot. Today (Thursday) I decided to move the Titan F1 seedling to het final 15 Liter pot. To make the transition as smooth as possible I used an empty paper cup to make an imprint in the final pot, carefully cut away the paper cup that holds the seedling and slide her in the potting hole. No stress 😇. She already developed a nice root system in her first week after germination! The rest of the seedlings are now in the greenhouse, so she has the whole growbox to herself. The SanLight is now dimmed at 60% to give her a little boost. Compared to another strain I'm growing this baby is really developing into a rugged little plant. The stem is thick and strong with really short internodes. I added some Mycorrhiza and Bactrex to help her grow and develop healthy roots. Combined with the airpot this should provide her with everything she needs to develop her full potential 💪 Even though I used the RQS Booster tables in the soil, I did add another Bio Tab just in case she needs more nutrients. At the end of week 1 I see the plant stays very compact, which is good but think I will encourage her to stretch a bit more. I raised the SanLight to 50 CM and dimmed from 60% to 80% so she wil hopefully develop slightly bigger internodes.

The Titan F1 is growing well. She's more compact and with more leaves and side branches compared to her sister in the greenhouse. On the other hand, this trifoliate has 1/3 more leafs which means more photosynthesis. My guess is that this is the reason for the faster development. Nothing more to say at this point. I'm still thinking about training her or not. She has more branches so she will develop more buds no matter what. I just hope she will not grow too tall if I don't train. So any thoughts about this would be very welcome 🙏 The stem of the plant is already very strong for a 2 week old. I did some defoliation this week to give some space to the many side branches. In stead of cutting off many leaves at once, I'm choosing for removing only a few leaves per week. This way the plant doesn't loose too much of her photosynthesis capacity while keeping an optimal airflow between the leafs.

The Titan F1 is growing perfectly. It has short internodes and it grows many side branches that are almost horizontally. I don't even have to use wire to pull the side branches down, which is pretty convenient. I suspect that once the side branches on higher nodes start to grow larger they will need a bit of training. The vigorous grow is remarkable. To support her I added an RQS Easy grow booster tablet so she has all the nutrients she needs. The Sanlight is dimmed to 80% and I intend to keep it this way until she starts developing buds. Now in the middle of week 3 I applied some of the LST clips from the Royal Queen Seeds webshop. They work really well and are easy to snap on the branches without breaking them. Check them out here: https://www.royalqueenseeds.com/growing/533-bending-clips.html At the end of week 3 the Titan F1 I have to say this Titan is growing faster each day. I never seen a plant on soil that has this many branches and nodes in the third week. Early signs of bloom are showing since a day or two. I will try to leave as many branches in tact with LST without them interfering with each other.

Starting this week the Titan is working it's way up and slowing it's development on the side branches. The LST clips are working as expected. The largest side branches are growing sideways allowing the smaller and newer branches to have the space to grow taller. This week I will see of she needs more LST with clips or just some wire. It's wednesday as I write this update. Looks like the Titan is already blooming! I have set the SanLight to the full 135W without dimming so she has all the light she needs to produce those buds. In my latest grow I noticed how much better the trichromes have grown since the SanLight was upgraded from 120W to 135W. I'm aiming for some compact and frosty peaks here 😎

The Titan is growing as I had hoped. The many side branches are growing larger and in the center is a nice main cola. Beside the LST clips a few weeks ago, no more training is needed it seems. I did some defoilation to optimize the airflow and to give the developing buds in the side branches more light. More pics and updates coming later this week. The Titan is developing a really nice flowery/citrus like smell. I added some Bio Tabs Bio PK 5-8 to the mix to support the many buds she is forming.

The Titan is growing beautifully and the smell keeps getting better by the day. This is the first time using an Airpot to grow and I noticed the plant does need more water compared to a Geotextile pot. Luckily I can check up on her a few times a day and give water when needed. Not much to do in terms of training as this lady practically trained herself ¯_(ツ)_/¯ I add updated daily instead of at the end of the week, so more pics and video's coming up in the next few days.

As the Titan enters the third week of blooming there are already a lot of brown coloured hairs on the buds. This feels a bit early in this stage but perhaps this is due to her being an oddball in the first place. The smell is getting more intense by the day and the buds also develop in a nice and steady pace. As the blooming progresses I will need to do some more defoliation to prevent budrot. The buds are packed tightly as there are many side branches on this plant. So airflow is critical at this stage.

Really happy with how this lady is growing! If I didn't know any better I would say the Titan is almost ready for harvest. It started blooming on week 3, which is earlier than usual and the hairs ave turned brown for 90%. The main cola could be a bit bigger but since it's a weirdo who knows what she will become eventually :) Exciting times 😎 The buds are beautiful to look at with a lot of purple since last week and they smell amazing! For better airflow I moved the clipfan lower in the growbox. This will dry up the soil a bit more, but that's ok since I can water a few times a day if necessary.

First off, thanks to James from RQS for letting me test this first class strain. I really like sharing my growing experience on Grow diaries with like minded Cannabis lovers, thanks to my growmies for following and sharing your comments 🙌 This grow went very smooth all together. The Titan turned out to be a mutant, which made growing it even more interesting! As I had hoped she developed many side branches filled with juicy buds. She was ready a week before I expected which was surprising. Her sister in the greenhouse was also ready around the same time. So the Titan's lifecycle looks very consistent even in different grow conditions! The taste was unlike anything I have smoked before. And the high can best be described as an intense head high, almost trippy, followed by a relaxing body stone.
