Day 77, 7/27/23
Today was res tank day... always a fun day. They all got fresh water and nutrients, and they got a little hair cut too. I've been neglecting my lollipopping and did that today after the change.
Temp - 73Β°
Water Temp - 70Β°
RH - 50%
PH - All reset to 5.8
Day 78, 7/28/23
Today I really didn't do much other than raise my lights and reset my PAR.
Temp - 73Β°
Water Temp - 72Β°
RH - 50%
PH - All 5.9
Day 79, 7/29/23
Today I did a lot of work on the cages I built. I built sides onto it half way up on the long pieces but neglected to make the short pieces. I worked on that for a few hours, then plucked several suckers off the lower branches. The ladies are growing strong. I did notice I had an issue with root rot forming in B's tank. I flushed it and put in just fresh water and poured in 32 Oz of HΒ²OΒ² (all $1.50 of it lol) and saw instant changes in it. I'm gonna let it sit over night.
Temp - 74Β°
Water Temp - 72Β°
RH - 50%
PH - 6.1, 6.2, 6.2, 6.1
Day 80, 7/30/23
Today I didn't do hardly anything in there today. I've been stressing them out by trimming them, they didn't drink hardly anything last night, so I left them alone. I refilled humidifier and that's about it.
Temp - 74Β°
Water Temp - 72Β°
RH - 45%
PH - 6.2, 6.4, 6.4, 6.3
Day 81, 7/31/23
You'll be disappointed today. I had a hard day at work, came home and got high and fell asleep and didn't wake up til my lights were out. I snuck in and filled my tanks up but I didn't get any pics or readings. I'm sorry!
Day 82, 8/1/23
Today I woke up to nutrient burn on plant C. I immediately emptied the res and redid the nutrients at half strength. Hopefully thats all of that. Today I also redid all the mylar wrapping and got it as smooth as I could get it.
Temp - 73Β°
Water Temp - 72Β°
RH - 45%
PH - 6.3, 6.2, 6.1, 6.2 (All had 1 1/2 mL of PH Down added to them)
Day 83, 8/2/23
Today I was super busy. I barely had time to get pics of my plants. I had to work late and instantly had company as soon as I got home. The burn looks to have cleared up.
Temp - 74Β°
Water Temp - 72Β°
Hey mate, I read your cornern about water temp. I know you won't read it anywhere but from my experience you can easily go on with 27Β°/28Β° celsius in DWC but make sure to have a big air pump. That allows roots to get enough oxygen. Moreover you're using Hydroguard that helps and I saw you're using h2o2 too (if don't, try with 1 ml/l). In my first crop I had 27Β°+ in Dwc but thanks the air pump and h2o2 everything was fine
@DeepWaterGrower, I forgot how much it aerates, but I remember when I got it thinking it was a good air pump. I had an extra one in each bucket but they were cheap and crapped out within the first 2 weeks. The stuff that was in the water looked really fuzzy and were a greenish brown. The HΒ²OΒ² seems to have cured it. The video I followed added 30 mL/gal lol. I halved it and all 4 plants have nice, white roots that feel firm instead of slimey. My family had fish years ago and I saw the same stuff in them long ago.
Hey, nice growroom you have, and it seems like your babies are happy in there! π
I noticed, you use H2O2. I've never seen people use it for growing.
Does it helps you to keep perfect PH or it's just a way to fight alga?
@Adam_Green, ok, thank you ;)
So in that case you still can use it, when you'll someone swimming in your solution, right? It should kill pests/what you want to prevent from, 12 hour should be enough. With a small quarantine effect π
@inversi0n, I read an article the other day on using HΒ²OΒ², especially using it with hydroguard, and I have stopped using it. Hydrogen peroxide has a half life of 11.5 hours, so after using it, h2o2 breaks down into h2o in 11 1/2 hours then there's no protection
@inversi0n, Thanks for checking out my diary! HΒ²OΒ² kills bacteria and if you have any sign of root rot, it can kill it and bring the plant back around. Then hydroguard for prevention. I wasn't using enough of it. The hΒ²oΒ² is still being used because I can't seem to completely wipe it out but it's way under control.
Nice progress buddy, try to stay around at least 60% humidity in this stage. An humidifier would be helpful and doesn't impact too much on your electric bill (on the contrary dehumidifier does it)
@DeepWaterGrower,Thanks man! That means a lot coming g from an experienced grower. I got a humidifier now and I've been able to keep it between 60% and 70% easily where I was having a hard time keeping it around 50%. The plants seem to enjoy it too. The last two days they've almost doubled in size
@Adam_Green, I have had incredible performance out of the entire TA/GHE line. When I combine it with the h202 3% from the drug store I find I need nothing else but time for the plant to grow! I stick with a 1-2ml/L or 4-8m//US gallon measurement for the entire grow. Sometimes my res temps would get high when I would drive my full throttle, and having the peroxide in there allowed for no sulphur or onion smells to form in the DWC. Your nose is your best judge of the state of the DWC. One tip: the hole in the top of your DWC for feeding, I would put a piece of duct tape over that asap. Also, fill up your net pots with lava rocks/hydroton, all the way to the top. Allowing the extra air into the DWC pool, through these openings, could introduce pathogens and cause weird things like white mold and root rot. Your plants are going to grow really well! These will be champions!!
@SwissKush, thanks for that info. I was looking at your grows and DeepWaterGrowers grows and I think I'm gonna follow your nutrient list. It seems to be spot on with ppm/ec meter after I checked my new batch of water I made. I am going to be putting 2 of the 4 in their tanks today and use the measurements you gave. It doesn't seem to have burned them using the back of the bottles guide, but I cut it back drastically. I may have stunted 2 of them with it
@Adam_Green, No, whatever you do never put 2 plants in the same DWC. It was the biggest mistake that I have ever made in my very first DWC. I will never do that again. 1 plant 1 DWC. You can look 9 more of my diaries and see there is just 1 plant per DWC. Dont make the same mistake I made. @DeepWaterGrower made the same mistake and had to cut the plant out. Take my advice, NEVER do two plants in 1 DWC res. Yes your nutrients are too high, way too high, you need to follow the directions on the GHE bottles. Koolbloom is not necessary until the Flowering phase. With Rockwool you will need to make sure PH is spot on with a chemical tester. GHE is the best if you follow the phases and directions. Good luck! Follow my Blue Dream, Big Bud or Gelato diaries, copy them, and you will have immense success. Good luck!
Bro my plants just give me 5oz and they was 1/3rd the size. I have one mango smile maybe half or 2/3rds the size of yours right now.. I'm hoping for 6-8oz from it.
Yo
This looks easily 3/4 of a pound maybe even a pound! She's one FAT girl! Congratulations great grow.
Dry right, don't over dry like me, im fighting low 50% rh in the jars, I'm scared I've ruined the whole grow... Hopefully you get to dry and cure correctly! She looks delicious! π
@Adam_Green, definitely looking into adding a sweetener as well. I don't think any of them smell like they should. I don't smoke it, these are reports from my spouse and friends but I think it should be 100x stronger lol.
If I ever become a breeder, and if I could make a strain that satisfied me. That's the strain that would take over the world like strawberry cough lol. I ain't ever satisfied when growing. Always something to improve no doubt. Yes alot of my Mango was very fluffy. Really really fluffy.
@DoughHead, Nice on the taste! My last one was kind of airy, but I've still got a few really good buds. The biggest from trimming yesterday was 6.9 grams, but several big, airy buds too. I've got almost 100 trimmed now, but soooo much more to do. That's awesome yours actually tastes like mangos. Mine didn't taste that great until it had cured a bit. I'm gonna look into adding a sweetener.
@Adam_Green, I can't wait to see boss. I tried adding my smoke report to my Mango smile it won't let me.
I got 199.25 grams or 7oz from my Mango smile. It is dry but not totally trimmed. It is fluffy so maybe 6oz after the trim and cure. Still my largest yield. Unfortunately fluffy.
She has the most smell and terps out of all mine.
I swear it smells like a Mango cookie dipped in propane diesel lol. It's wild.
Popped 4 more so hopefully next time I'll get more dense nugs!
@SlexiSmoker, Plant D is freaking amazing. I've smoked for 26 years, and I grew, on my first grow, the best weed I've ever smoked. It is so smooth I dont even cough when I face a blunt of it. And it's a very energetic high but the come down is light as a feather. You just start getting sleepy. Idk what I did, with what, that made it so yummy but damn... dm me in discord and I'll tell ya about the rest. I think I'm going to stop recording the details. It's getting old and I need the thermometers for the other 4 buckets. I'll still do the work, but not take up the headspace to remember them
@Salokin, I have a feeling it's gonna be a nightmare lol. I had to loosen the wire today because they are still getting larger lol. I can get my hand just about half way around the biggest one I see lol
@Adam_Green,like Dutch said the other day, wet trim the biggest leaves and sugar leaves away, I would cut her apart and then dry all separately. As cold and slow as possible.
@Salokin, thank you, brother! I am gonna a have to figure out how to dry these big bastards... I may have to open them up to get the humidity right. Any ideas?
@SlexiSmoker, I'm taking pics of them in the morning and night time now lol. That's how desperate I am for the space. I wanted to get all 8 going at the same time, then I lost one, and 3 are in soil now so I'll only get 11
@SlexiSmoker, I'm dying to cut it lol. They are almost all still clear... out of like 10 different pics each, I only saw.3 or.4 amber ones on each. So frustrating but they just get more icy so it's ok I guess
@Salokin, Haha I've been saying that for years, just in a negative way lol. She was the one I thought would die too. If you look back, she didn't get big for weeks and weeks compared to the others. The others were over the edge of their buckets, and it was just outside its root pot. I broke it, like Omg I'm gonna lose the branch!, at least 9 times. Several branches more than once. So she got HST on almost every branch. I had 3 branches bigger than the main stem too lol.
