This is my second grow. The first time I made a lot of mistakes, but this time I want to do everything right.
I decided to try a new strain from Fast Buds; it has great reviews. I used the same soil as last time, but first, I prepared it by watering with nutrients and then planted the seed right away. After 2 days, the sprout appeared, and I helped it shed the helmet using a needle.
During the first week of veg, everything is going well. I'm watering with just plain water from a sprayer. The plant is stretching a lot upwards, so I increased the light intensity to 75%; it was previously set at 50%.
Day 9 - A cat managed to get into the grow box and damaged some leaves, but the plant seems to be doing fine overall.
The plant is growing very rapidly, and on the 14th day, I started doing some LST.
On the 16th day, I continued with the LST, but a few hours later, I noticed that the plant started stretching upwards and accidentally snapped off its top. I was a bit shocked, so I didn't take a photo. Well, let's consider it an unplanned topping. We'll see how the plant reacts to it.
Day 19 - The plant is feeling great. After the topping, it should distribute its energy among the six new shoots that have appeared. Next, I will continue to train them by bending them to the sides in order to maximise the use of space in the grow box and control the plant's height.
I continue with LST, and the plant is branching out nicely. I am training the branches to grow sideways, ensuring that all the tops are at an equal distance from the light.
From day 32, the plant started flowering. I continue to stretch the branches to promote more even growth. I removed the lower leaves that were not receiving sufficient light.
Day 36 - Some leaves have started to yellow and develop spots, while the colas and stems of the lower large leaves are turning purple, indicating a phosphorus deficiency. I flushed the plant with plain water until runoff and measured the PPM output, which registered at 400. This value is significantly low for this stage. I will increase the amount of base nutrients and continue to monitor the plant.
The plant is feeling better and flowering. The stems have stopped turning purple, and the leaves are no longer yellowing.
Day 40 - I cut bad leaves.
Day 42 - Trichomes have started to appear on the upper leaves.
The third week of flowering has begun, and I performed defoliation by removing all the lower and diseased leaves.
The buds are developing stigmas and starting to gain weight.
On the 56th day, there seems to be a phosphorus deficiency again, judging by the appearance of the leaves. I pruned the affected leaves and started adding Advanced Nutrients' Overdrive to the water. Before that, I flushed the plant with pH 6.7 water until runoff. Overall, the buds are still gaining weight, but the foliage's condition has worsened. I'm considering starting the flushing process in about 2 weeks, followed by harvesting.
At the beginning of the 5th week, the buds have already gained significant mass, covered in trichomes, and the trichomes on the top buds are starting to become cloudy. The buds in the center, right under the light, are developing a subtle purple hue, and the aroma is becoming very strong and noticeable.
The buds look almost ready, with a very strong aroma. The trichomes are cloudy, and there's a hint of amber. I'm considering ending the feeding regimen; I'll wait for the soil to dry out a bit and then start flushing with plain water this week.
Day 67 - Flushing with plain water. Most of the trichomes are cloudy, and there are already amber trichomes on almost all of the buds.
The entire cycle from seed to harvest took only 70 days. With the help of training techniques, I achieved very satisfying results even with just 150 watts of light. Overall, I am extremely pleased.
