Strain
I had pretty high hopes for this strain. The parent strains were some really good ones that bring back memories.
Unfortunately, I didn't get what I had hoped from this plant:
- She grew very short. 24in at the chopping block.
- Because of her height, 50% of her, mostly the bottom, had botrytis and was discarded prior to hanging. Out of 5 outdoor harvests in the last two weeks, she was the second worst mold resistant.
- Out of 20 outdoor plants, she was the second worst when it comes to pest resistance. She just kept getting eaten, and by various bugs, despite my treatments. Some of her large top fan leaves were destroyed or even chewed right off, all throughout flowering when she needed to soak up the sun the most.
I can't blame RQS here at all. Every one of these problems is due to my tent failing when she was just a seedling, and having no other place to put her, she was transplanted outdoors. As such, her growth was stunted, she succumbed to transplant shock and started flowering quickly, and the mold and pests would not have been a thing should she still be in my tent.
I really do have high hopes for this strain, so I decided to grow it again. You can check out my "RQS2" diary for that plant. I'm not interested in it being a first-generation hybrid cultivar - I just like the parental genetics, and I will keep trying until I grow this one successfully.
