TickleToast This was an extra bean, popped as a just in case. Had a weak Critical seedling so I'm going with the stronger bet and giving this gal her own diary!

TickleToast Topped a day prior to this entry. LEDs bumped to 100%
She's looking very healthy and all set for mainline training!
Forgot to snap a picture before topping, my bad! (was ~9'' beforehand)
~~~~~~~~~~
First small bit of defoliation - this grow I topped at 4 nodes, and we just did away with the bottom larf leaving the middle two sets of nodes. Rather than a traditional mainline I'm going to stick with this (like with a few past grows) - its less time and stress with the same end result :) Tie downs are next!
~~~~~~~~~~
I notice that Its week three and I didn't up the PPM like I normally do. Thats my bad, I redid week 1 and 2! Not a problem whatsoever, just missing out on some growth and will have some lighter foliage until we get things bumped up!

TickleToast Thinking that this method of mainlining is the way to go for DWC. Keeping it all on the same nodes is just counterintuitive to everything, it just takes longer - this method provides the same 8 primaries, and it takes less time and is less stressful!
The RH has been getting a tad high at night ~70% - adjusting!
Gal has been dragging her feet a little bit so I held off on tie downs a little longer than usual.

TickleToast So far looking good!
One week and we have pistils, very good sign. Forgot to get the CO2 generator going but it made for a nice test for the strain, see how fast/slow of a starter she is.

TickleToast Roots are looking very good, decided to go ahead and cut floralicious plus from my mix. You just don't need the extra potash/phosphate/nitrogen when using koolbloom and Fish Sh!t. Also, my fear is that using too much organics will bite me in the ass late flower with these buckets & netcups, very airy / no pressure - and is just overkill in veg as it is.
Overall looking very well!

TickleToast Made it to a 2nd week of ripen - gal is super foggy and showing some bits of amber. Don't think she will see a full week so most likely she'll drain this bucket of its 3gals and then be ready for flush (3-4 days).
Actual PPM is more like 1000 right now due to this plants salt/nutrient retention.
I will be updating my profile page soon, with my day-to-day practices and explain that in more detail.
~~~~~~~~~~
Flush on day 61 of flower - should be passing 10-15% amber by the end (4 days).
All I used in flush is PH'd dechlorinated water / bennie / and a little humic acid. Seemed the better route than using something like foraclean.
I will have an updated nutrient spreadsheet on the first entry of the next diary, reflecting this change, as per usual.
48hrs darkness (last two days flush)
Overall, very satisfied with this harvest - minimal issues considering its a fresh start in a new location.
TOTAL LIGHT POWER USED is off - It was under one XS-2000/240watts. It just wouldn't let me fix the mistake after I noticed it.
Mid veg I ended up opening the tent for some additional RH control. Eventually I will do away with the tent altogether and put up some reflective mylar in the room - giving me some more space to work with. Plan was always to double up and have half DWC (potentially RDWC eventually) and the new 6x will be either CoCo or a drip/pot system of some kind. Not this next grow, but possibly the start of next year - and potentially sponsored, stay tuned!
About 6-7g Keif pulled from the trimbim.
Trim was added to what was collected from my 5x "Critical" plants. About a full gallon bag - threw into cold storage until I get a press sometime next year and turn it all into rosin, or maybe edibles.
Will have 2x more XS2000's by flower of next grow - Try and get some even bigger numbers out of 6 plants / less popcorn.
It's worth noting that with these large net pots the hydobucket lets in a solid chunk of airflow and lacks pressure like a 5gl bucket system. Use pot covers to put over your hydroton to mitigate that airflow and prevent mold in the top space of your root system. I saw a tiny bit in another grow and so I hit it with the hose during a nute swap - never saw it again.
Southern AG, so far, is working as expected - smaller doses than hydroguard and saving $$$
My apologies for the poor quality trichome photos. Better Microscope is in the mail!
@TickleToast, yeah, thank you for bringing female seeds in. they're Holland and it means something. I like to try new breeders. These are rare enough in my distant region. I would like to compare them to others I got.
Congrats, growmie! hush hush!)
Thanks for bringin them to the end! So, what I see is fat and bushy enough, maybe a bit too leafy and not so fat for hydroponics. Am I right?
Or even more bushy and leafy than fat?)
What about the smell? Is it fat, is it special?)
I believe you will enjoy it!
🤙🤙🤙🙏🙏🙏
Smells good / tastes good, like sweet berries - almost like candy.
I could have kept some smaller plants and smaller root systems sure (ref. Heath Robinson etc.), but I would then have to scale that to meet my needs and service way more plants. Since I'm a home-grower I'm working with a *plant limit rather than a square footage limit. So, I'm training these ladies out and doing my best to promote as little stem elongation as possible. Maximize my yield with less plants in a small space :)
In the future I will be fine-tuning my recipe / or even start using some other stuffs. GH 3-Part (now Terra TriPart) works incredibly well but is also kind of "crude", It does you no favors in flower.
