Got my free Slapz in the mail in exchange for this diary, so here we go! May 22 dropped one seed into a ramikin of water and put it up in a cabinet. May 24 she had a nice tail, so into the peat pellet she went. May 27 we have a little head poking up!
I had to assist her with removing her helmet and carefully help her cotyledon open up a bit, but by May 29 she was open for business! Unfortunately I appear not to have taken many photos this week - sorry!
Miss Jada is coming along quite nicely. I have been terrible about updating the diary, mostly because I have been terrible about taking pictures. Increasing nutrients, generally following the Fox Farms schedule.
Jada has had a growth spurt! She has also been topped and is recovering well, as you can see. She's had 4 full weeks of veg at this point, and I need to transplant her up, but have to wait for the flower tent to clear. This weekend I plan to chop my ILGM Fruity Pebbles OG (Miss Bam Bam), and then I can bump the ILGM Super Skunk (Madame Le Peu) into the flower tent and have room for Jada to be in a 5 gallon Air Pot. I prefer to let my girls have 8 weeks fo flower give or take before moving them to flower, so she still has a month-ish to go before I move her. She is getting pretty tall already, so I anticipate using plenty of LST with plant clips and tying down some branches.
I was finally able to transplant Jada into her final 5 gallon home. She is recovering well from that and last week's topping. She will have the veg tent to herself for awhile, so I expect solid growth.
