Still in seedling stage. I planted 3 plants into the same bucket originally to remove the weakest plants and leave one. Now I want to LST them with the hope that they can share nutrients in the same bucket. 5 gal bucket, using 4 gal of solution. Vigorous bibles through the whole setup. Installed a small oscillating fan to maintain a gentle breeze. Will remove a drip setup later and fill in with more clay stones. My longest seedling got droopy overnight, I think because it was on a germination tray without enough light, it got super long and now it cannot support vegetation growth. 1. Will provide support 2. Will keep my seedlings in their germination tray under a light until they are ready for vegetative state 3. It seems solution aeration raises pH. Today it's 6.2, went up by 0.4 overnight. Will check tonight and correct if needed 4. Turned on the exhaust fan in the tent to bring overall temperature down 5. Supporting the falling down seedling worked, it's upright and more leaves. Other seedlings are dying off? I'm glad I saved them all in order to grow. Gentle breeze seems to working as well. I think by the end of this week, the roots will come out and the plant might start a true vegetative stage 6. Today I saw the first root coming out! Other two plants are most likely dead - who cares, the other one is thriving

My plant is still in seedling stage - just started to make 5 finger leaves - 18 days post germination. Should I dump my plant and start new seeds? Current seed was 1.5 year old

I think she’s looking fine at this stage. I wouldn’t dump her. Give her a couple more weeks. I expect you’ll see a nice growth spurt soon. Good luck 👍

Day 33. Got leaf burn. See attached close up photos. These are upper most leaves. Brown spots of thin, seemingly dead/dry tissue. What would cause it?

Hello ! Well it's looks like a phosphorous deficiency to me , the brown necrosis on the leaves are a sign of P def. But as your plant looks healthy and only one leaf is touch then I think you had some water on the leaf ( 2 or 3 drops ) which created a loup effect and burn the plants. I hope it's not a phosphorous def but it's too early to really say I'm 100% sure. Hope it will help you 😁🙌

Having persistent yellow/brown spots on my leaves. Took a close up picture to show them better. I adjusted my nutrient schedule to increase phosphorus content. pH is checked daily. What else can I do to eliminate the problem?

To me your just over feeding them abit . I would slow down on the amount of nutrients fed not the strength but the amount . Instead of watering them every time with nutrients try doing it 2-3 times . Your leaves look really dark which is a good sign of nitrogen toxicity like every is talking about but there are no signs of burns . I would also recommend only using Bloom solution this way you can be assured that its the same every time . Not that this will have a huge effect if your monitoring it but some nutrient systems don't mix well . I would also reduce the amount of CalMg being fed your aren't running into any deficiency of either . This will hopefully correct any lock outs you have . I hope you find this information useful . -Happy Growing!

I’m heading into flushing in a few days. Can I start defoliating my auto plant now to have less trimming work at harvest? Prior to this I only LST my plant

Hello ! Yes you can ! If you'r planing to flush soon then you can remove all the fan leaves without harming your plant or your yield. And if you want less work after the drying process then you can also wet trim your plant just before harvest , if you are lucky you will even get enough scissor hash to make a spliff. I hope it will help you 😁👍

@BeefWellingtons,thank you brother, I'm very happy with my growth. First one was in soil, then coco, now hydro, I love the simplicity of hydro - every day puts a smile on my face

You are going to love this strain! Well, I did, do. Enough to where I started another plant. She is very resilient!! You are doing a great job. If she starts to look weird, use your grow question or pm me. Mine took a lot longer that the average time as I was a newb and was doing defoliation like crazy (this prolongs the grow). I'm calling it now, you will have like 120g off this plant in 4-5 weeks. What is your basin temp water at? Good luck with your grow!!

@BeefWellingtons, going to read up about it. Adjusting my feeds a little to include more phosphorus. I calculate total NPK through all of my nutrients
BeefWellingtons
BeefWellingtonscommented6 years ago
@lezhonka, I would be doing you a disservice if I didn't suggest getting some hydroguard into your basin. Looking good!
lezhonka
lezhonkacommented6 years ago
@BeefWellingtons, the basin is at 69-70F. With the cool weather, and me programming lights off 2pm-6pm (warmest time), my temperature stays fairly constant. This is my third grow of this strain, first one was in soil, second in coco coir, and this one my first hydroponics experience. I like this one the best, better growth, most painless so far, and I was able to LST to keep the plant uniform to the lights

They sell battery operated pumps for like 20 bucks that you can use to empty your basin with.

So the tricomes look about 85% milky, 1% amber, and 14% clear approximately. I would give it at least 3 days of flush, and I would suggest you start that on Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest, and pull them by next weekend as you said. Just give them an extra day of flush, maybe 2. Great job for a plant you were thinking about tossing huh? Really great job!
lezhonka
lezhonkacommented6 years ago
@BeefWellingtons, thank you! I’ll start getting ready for the flush on Wednesday and harvest on a weekend. There are so many leaves, it’s hard to judge the size of colas, I’m very curious to see them. I can’t believe myself that I could dump this plant two months ago, what a change :)
Pot_Pharmer
Pot_Pharmercommentedweek 126 years ago
cant believe that is all the nutes you needed to flower her!! shocking as I have experienced deficiency after deficiency skimping on the nutes. now i don't play on this grow and hoping for the best. What was your average yield PER PLANT?
lezhonka
lezhonkacommented6 years ago
@@Pot_Pharmer, I didn't harvest yet, still ripening. Probably in another week, I'll flush and harvest
BeefWellingtons
BeefWellingtonscommentedweek 116 years ago
Also you should check the tricomes, she still looks like she is 2 weeks out, lots of white pistils, don't pull her too early.
lezhonka
lezhonkacommented6 years ago
@BeefWellingtons, you are right, another two weeks or so to harvest. Posted some trichome pictures at 100x magnification. Next time, I'll turn off the grow lights before snapping pics

I forgot to mention that your tds is really high imo. I would replace 1 gallon of that water with distilled, ph 5.8 water if I were in your shoes.

@BeefWellingtons, @@Athos, @mad_scientist, thank you guys. Checked my pH meter last night - it's calibrated on a spot, which is quite impressive, last time I calibrated it was a year ago. My note solution is certainly very strong. I followed GH feed chart. I'm diluting my solution, TDS currently in 1,200. I'll use FloraKleen for two hours before my next water change to remove lockout. Overall, I enjoy this science experiment 😀, my flowers look the best out of my previous grows
BeefWellingtons
BeefWellingtonscommentedweek 66 years ago
Don't give up! It does look like phosphorus deficiency to me as well, but that could be because of low water or some other issue. Keep an eye on your water levels with that leak and check her ph twice a day if you can. You got a bunch of bud sites there, you'll be in flower next week. Give her time to recover. One of my plants look way worse than yours, but she recovered like a champ! How are the roots looking? Is there any sign of pythium or slimy brown roots?
lezhonka
lezhonkacommented6 years ago
@BeefWellingtons, roots look very healthy, abundant. I'll be taking their picture soon. I'm calling this current week: "Transition Stage". With that come more phosphorus in my feed. I'll adjust slowly up if needed. Thanks a lot for your suggestion!

Looks like it snowed on your colas! Superfrost!! They certainly rebounded well with all the love and care you put it, it really shows. Discoloration of leaves is normal at this stage, don't fret over it. Great job!

I’m thinking of drying the whole plant in DWC bucket, just by dumping water out, vs cutting at the base and uprooting the whole plant. There’s a lot of trimming needed, I hope this way I can do it in stages while it’s drying. Thoughts?

@BeefWellingtons,thank you brother for all your advices through my grow. It's done now. I'm happy with the results. 5 oz of product is more than enough. I'll start growing something else in a week or two. This time I want to defoliate my plant to improve air circulation and decrease my trimming time at harvest

is your air pump loud? I've been debating on graduating from high powered aquarium pumps. any advice?
BeefWellingtons
BeefWellingtonscommented6 years ago
@lezhonka, next grow hang some dehumidifier bags if your humidity gets too high, and maybe another air circulation fan to combat moldy bud issues.
lezhonka
lezhonkacommented6 years ago
@@Pot_Pharmer, it's loud. I wouldn't use it close to a place where people hang out often. I am lucky to have a small lockable storage room in basement, away from foot traffic. But it's not a vented room... With oscillating fan, activated charcoal filter scrubber, portable heater, air pump, the room gets quite loud
