First time grower. This is my setup:
HLG 260w Qb
Mars hydro 2x4x5.9 grow tent
Hyperfan Stealth 6 inch 315 cfm
Can lite carbon filter 6 inch 400 cfm
Dust Shroom 6 inch intake filter 0 cfm
2 Hurricane 6 inch clip fans
20L Smart Pot
BioBizz nutrients
Soil mix of 5% cow compost, 50% perlite/peat moss mix, 10% humus, 25% forest soil, 10% mulching (layer on the bottom of the pot and a small layer on the top)
Germinated Seeds in paper towel over 48 hours.
Day 1 placed it in its final home.
Day 3 misting every now and then with water.
Day 4 soil was getting too dry. Probably due to fan being directly on the pots so they've been pointed away for now. Gave it 0.5 L with 0.5ml root juice, acti-vera and alg-a-mic.
Day 5 soil was still a bit dry for my liking so I gave 1L of water in the morning and by afternoon it was still moist.
Day 7. Gave it 2 ml root juice, 2 ml activera, 1 ml algamic and 1 ml bioheaven.
- Day 8. Growing nicely.
- Day 9. Gave her another round of stims 1ml of root juice, acti-vera, algamic, bioheaven.
- Day 10. Still growing :)
- Day 11. Another round of stims 1ml of root juice, acti-vera, algamic, bioheaven. She's growing weird cuz of the cotelydons restricting the new leaves but I don't want to mess with her just yet.
- Day 12. Still going strong
- Day 13. Another round of stims 1ml of root juice, acti-vera, algamic, bioheaven.
- Day 14. Stem is thickening nicely
- Day 15 started with the veg nutes. 1 ml fish mix with 2 ml root juice, 1 ml acti-vera, 1 ml algamic, 1 ml bioheaven. She seems stunted and a bit droopy so started giving 2 L waterings and monitoring
- Day 16 she's got a bit of slight yellowing and brown spots on the lower leaves so gonna continue to monitor :(
- Day 17 some more brown spots. May be nute deficiency but we'll see
- Day 18 another feed today. Same as before in 2L. Could very well be nute deficiency but I have no clue. I'll still keep an eye on it obviously
- Day 19 power cut today for 8 hours :(
- Day 20 she recovered nicely
- Day 21 a little bit of Lst and another feed in the arvo. Another 2L of water with nutes and stims
- Day 22 a little more lst today. She recovered quite quickly from yesterday.
- Day 23 recovered nicely and is looking good as far as I can tell.
- Day 24 gave her another feed in 2L of water. Trying to keep the canopy level
- Day 25 bit of white tips so I'll cut back a bit on the fish mix next feed or give plain water
- Day 26 still going well. Next feed I'll give stims only before switching to grow and bloom next week
- Day 27 stims only this watering in 2L. Bit droopy but she'll pick up.
- Day 28 some light defoliation. Gonna be feeding every two days now to avoid drooping and see how she reacts.
- Day 29 another feed today in 2L of water in the morning. By the afternoon she was still droopy so I gave her another 1L of plain water and see how she is in the morning. :(
- Day 30 she's picked up again. Definitely underwatering so gonna water 3L tomorrow. Such a rollercoaster
- Day 31 feed day in 3L of water. Did it to anticipate drooping. We'll see how she reacts.
- Day 32 looking good. Slight nute burn so I'll give plain water next or cut down on grow
- Day 33 got some brown spots. PH is sitting at 7. Might need to flush with some EPSOM for the mag def
- Day 34 gave 3L of water with 3g of Epsom salts to fix the mag def
- Day 35 no idea if the Epsom has helped but fingers crossed it has
- Day 36 the stretch is on! She was looking a bit droopy so gave her another feed this time in 2L of water so as not to overwater and for me to correct any mistakes
- Day 37 still stretching!
- Day 38 another day another feed. Seems to be going okay tho
- Day 39 mag Def still there. Gonna start adding Epsom to each feed until I see a change. Noted for next grow to use egg shells in the soil and Epsom in watering
- Day 40 another 2L feed of nutes today with 1 tsp Epsom for mag. Hopefully she recovers
- Day 41 still hoping for some recovery.
- Day 42 another 2L fees of nutes with 1/2 tsp of Epsom.
- Day 43 mag def still persists. Hoping she recovers.
- Day 44 another feed in 2L of water minus the root juice and Epsom. Gonna see how she does before giving more epsom
- Day 45 still suffering from mag def.
- Day 46 2L watering with 1/2 tsp Epsom. Also crushed up some dried egg shells and mixed it in the top layer of soil. Also did some defoliation.
- Day 47 juvenile buds are going crazy!
- Day 48 another 2L watering with 1/2 tsp Epsom and some more egg shell soil amendment in the top soil.
- Day 49 buds seem to be getting bigger.
- Day 50 gave her a 2L watering today but reduced the grow to 1ml as there was a slight nute burn
- Day 51 all seems well.
- Day 52 3L watering of water only. Gonna see how she copes.
- Day 53 she's reacted well to the 3L watering. Gonna cut down on biogrow next week.
- Day 54 3L watering today as she was already dry.
- Day 55 buds are slowly starting to swell
- Day 56 no watering today as the soil is still fairly moist. Slight nute burn but she seems to be going well
- Day 57 slight phosphorous def so I upped the bloom. Slight nute burn so I cut grow down to 0.25 ml. Upped top max to 4 ml and the rest I kept at 3 ml. Calyxes are growing nicely.
- Day 58 seems okay today.
- Day 59 3L plain watering today. She seems to be going okay.
- Day 60 calmag def and slight nute burn. Epsom feeding tomorrow. Live and learn. Note to self buy calmag
- Day 61 3L watering with 1+1/2 tsp of Epsom.
- Day 62 buds are fattening up nicely
- Day 63 3L watering with nutes today
- Day 64 seems she still has some calmag def due to yellowing leaves but I think I'll just let her do her thing.
- Day 65 3L of plain water today. Decided to start flushing her early and harvest by end of week 11 earliest
- Day 66 the swell is on!
- Day 67 no watering today as the soil is still moist. Started seeing some cloudy Trichomes.
- Day 68 3L plain watering. Tried to include a shot of the Trichomes.
- Day 69 buds are still swelling
- Day 70 3L plain watering today
- Day 71 soil still moist so no watering for her today.
- Day 72 3L plain watering today
- Day 73 all seems well
- Day 74 soil still moist. The tester I chopped since Sunday is ready and tastes quite nice.
- Day 75 2L plain watering. Getting ready to chop her soon
- Day 76 she's looking good. Near 100% cloudy so I'll be a little more patient
- Day 77 decided to flush her properly with run off today to get rid of any excess nutes.
- Day 78 all is well
- Day 79 no change. Hoping to harvest end of the week.
- Day 80 a little bit of amber trichs have started appearing. Not going to water her again until harvest.
- Day 81 all is well
- Day 82 all good. Harvesting tomorrow hopefully
Loved growing this one. She was easy to grow and didn't mind my first time mistakes. All in all I would recommend this one to anyone who wants to grow something really nice for their first time. As long as you know the basics you can't go wrong.
I highly recommend some calmag supplements to anyone who plans to grow with a Hlg Quantum board led light. The plant was really hungry for it.
It took nutes well even at a higher dose than normal during the first few weeks even tho I was giving it every watering. Stupid mistake on my part.
After I dialled the nutes down to once a week it's like she barely noticed.
She gave some nice big fat buds in the end.
Can't wait to grow this one again.
Seems it's gonna be a decent harvest. The testers I harvested early were really nice. Got a nice piney taste to it and a very woody aroma that fills your senses and leaves a nice lingering taste long after smoking. It can only get better with proper drying a curing. I'll. Update in 2 weeks.
Update: finally finished drying in the box after 7 days. She's still smelling lovely as soon as I was trimming the buds. Overall I got around 65g including the testers I took so not a bad harvest.
Hopefully it'll get better with curing.
