Midweek update. The leaf looks like it was damaged by my hot soil. No worries, she'll get used to it, and be happier as she ages a little. Very vigorous growth.
Sunday Update: She definitely was stunted, rebounding now. First Nutes next week, as shes already picky with my soil.
Shes starting to come around again. Responded well to initial nutes. Ill plan on re-pot and topping next week in preparation for the screen.
Friday update- she need a bigger pot, but I have run out of floor space in my veg cabinet. Going to have to sort something out over the weekend.
Sunday update- still working on repotting. It's a sore subject.
Finally got it transplanted after throwing a killer kush in budding early. We do what we have to. Very strong underbranching begging for light. So I cut some fans off to help. Not much longer and she'll be in flowering
Friday- no stunted growth from major fan removal. I'll have to get more aggressive
with defoliation as the next week or 2 go by.
Sunday- started training. I'll be looking at flipping, so maybe no screen but trussed up.
2F.. came home to damage. Not sure if it was me training it or growth upwards that broke it. Either way, waxed and sealed. Well see how she makes out. It's going to be a stretcher for sure.
6F-shes stretching. Trained down to try to even the canopy. Excited for the very terpy plant
Week 2 of flower came as i broke my phone. Killing any chance of photos being taken. This was snapped but i couldnt move it or post it til a new phone was purchased. These are now close to 30 days in flower now. A few weeks will be missing to the final update.
GC has responded very well to screening. Im regretting the metal screen, but you live and you learn. This diary is behind as i damaged my phone. More updates, and missing weeks to come.
GC has filled out nicely. Its tangy smelling with a dank undertone. I'm not 100% that the foxtails are genetic or a hear issue I had for a week. Either way, it seems very N hungry and pretty sensitive to salts.
E: 41F- A branch was broken when I went to do a final defoliation. Splint on, well see if if makes it. I saw another journal with foxtails so maybe there is a pheno?
She's going good. Calyxs are expanding. She's getting heavy and I'm concerned about it. I have to wrestle out some decorations from behind that small door in the pics. So she'll get moved, and braced in 2 days for the final 3-4 weeks. She's very hungry and will get flushed. But I will be continuing some nutes till the last week.
46F- I'm sticking to a light nutrient schedule at this point. Being an HSO I imagine she might show some color. But well see.
She's changing to her fall colors. It has a tangy citrus smell with a touch of skunk. Reminds me of dried Jack Herer. Calyxs are swelling g towards the tip and I imagine she'll be done in a week or 2. I have to go back and check dates to verify my journal is correct. I believe its further along than day 50.
E: days are right. She seems to closing in on finish. A true 60F strain? Well see
Green crack has had a presence in my room for months now. It seems that our time has come to a close. This was one of my first grow diaries. And for the most part I kept up with it. I had some phone trouble not allowing pics of early flowering but she has become a beast. Very terpy. Citrus, dank, and piney. It smells like ahat I remember from Jack Herer. Update to come through drying/curing.
Upon a short cure my thought was right. Either she was heat stressed or she reverted to veg after a single exposure to light during dark period. I would assume heat stress. Either way, she hermie'd and left me with some seeds. Some more formed than other. I will be running another diary with a GC hermie seed and another kush I've already run. Well see if I have feminized seeds of not. I kind of hope they are forced fems. The flavor is amazing with this bud. Top 3 smokes I've ever smoked in my 20 years of smoking. Pretty damned good Humboldt.
She decided to push more hairs and foxtails. But I couldn't give it another week as I cut nutrients 2+ weeks ago. She's got some weight, right where I would expect her to be. After 4 plants in my room I'll come out just above 1g/W. I'm happy with that. I can't wait till she's dried. It smells amazing.
@dahoola, thanks. This is my first seed order. 15 years of bag seeds, selecting, crossing. It will be nice to try feminized. This was a freebie. I'll be growing The Plug- Spamoni, and Barneys Farms- Gorilla Zkittlez.
@maplemeadtheforestnweed, the one in the back was a severe cal-mag issue. Plus it got moved a lot between LED and HPS. For future reference N abundance is dark green. My gorilla zkittlez has a N abundance ice you want a reference. Yellowing can be a lot of things. In this case its N deficiency and it's natural life cycle combined with poor air circulation.
