Hard to say, its been just 2 waterings since i detected this issue. Damaged leaves haven't improved, but I believe they are not getting worse. And new leaves doesn't seem to be developing that white/yellow tip (for me, new leaves were developing that yellowing at the very beginning).
But I believe the yellowing, if it does progress, it does so very slowly. So it is hard for me to tell if it really improved.
Anyway, watering with corrected PH water causes no harm and it is just what i've should been done from the beginning. If that doesn't work, at least I removed one very important variable from the equation. I'd do the same if I were you.
Having said that, remember that another common cause for those burnt tips is overfeeding. So, if you can measure your PH and rule that out, then it is probably a nutrients issue.
