Well I had to move them into something and I didn't have solo cups, so I made my own. I am using Happy Frog potting soil for now. Added just a tiny bit of water once I put the cubes into the soil, so I guess we'll see how they react. I have 3 gallon grow bags coming and I'm going to try out some hot soil. Also, I have a new led light on it's way so if these babies don't die you'll see a bunch of changes in this diary in the next few weeks, probably the whole grow as I plan to get a tent and air handler at some point. They shouldn't really start to smell for at least 5 more weeks. Thanks for viewing my diary! ;)

Has anyone used Kindsoil, from kindsoil.com, and what were your results? I would love to see a grow that someone used it.

Hello @BeefWellingtons ! Kind soil is a kind of super soil. Its organic and it has a variety of organic amendments. After they mix all the amendments they let it "cook" (composting process) for 1-2 months. It makes growing very easy and gives very very taste buds!!! I have never tried kind soil because its not available to Europe but i have worked many times with super soils. Although be careful. These soils are very heavy for the first weeks of plants life and can burn the plant. Usually you have to fill the half bottom of your pot with this soil and the other half with a lighter one. Happy growing ! 👊

Well, this is the 2nd week. 1 girl is awesome, the other is kinda weird. 2nd water feeding today. Had to remove a bulb for the hydro grow. Only a few days more. UPDATE: transplanted girls into 3gal smart pots consisting of kindsoil and happy frog. Put them under 40% veg and 15% bloom til next week (manufacturer recommended), under new 400w (183w) led, on a 12/12 until they get used to the light.

This week was ok. I am not sure if I want to grow out the second girl as she's so deformed. I thought I would give her one more week to see what happens. Super easy grow so far with this kindsoil. I gave them water which was way too high in ph. Last time I tested it, it was in the good range but I made the mistake of giving them their feeding before testing it (oops). Nothing I can do but make sure it doesn't happen again. Anyhow I have slowly upped the power on the light to 100% veg and 60% bloom as manufacturers' directions. I am seeing a tiny bit of upward leaf curl and I will keep an eye on it. I also slowly upped the light hours from 12 to 15. I really like this blurpie light! Thanks for checkin out my diary.

Well the healthier of the two has really shot up. I can't really raise my light so I'll have to get creative and probably supercrop her or something at some point. The smell is pretty strong for being 'weak', they are going to be super stinky at some point soon. Kindsoil is working good. No problems so far. Both girls are super healthy. I'll water them later today probably. Soon they will have to share the light with one more plant so we'll see how that goes. Its gonna be crowded up in here in a few weeks! Thanks for checking out my diary!

Two questions really; 1. I caught a couple of small flys on a fly strip. One was tiny and white. How worried should I be? Should I try to treat her with something? 2. The taller plant is like 2 ft tall and I am worried she will outgrow the space, is supercrop the only solution???

Hi @BeefWellingtons! 1/ Yes you should treat as soon as possible, once you enter flowering you won't be able to spray anything onto your leaves, so act quickly. As you may already know, neem oil is one of the most efficient organic pesticide, in this situation I would use neem-oil as a foliar spray + a few drops into the feeding solution, just to make sure that no eggs are going to come out of your medium in the next weeks. For the foliar spray, use 12~15 drops of pure neem-oil mixed with water and a teaspoon of soap (for the oil to glue onto the leaves). 2/ Now about your height issue, supercropping is not the only solution, you could top/fim your plant now (before she starts to flower), multiplying the main stems will help to control the stretch. You can also try the "cold morning" method, by giving your plant a cold temperature for the 3 first hours of the day (colder than the night temp) you should be able to slow down the stretch and force the plant to produce short inter-nodes. I've been using this method recently with a pure sativa strain, I was impressed by the results (StrawberryAmnesia diary). Hope this will help, keep us up-to-date and happy growing 👊

Well we are now officially into flowering. I changed the light to 100% veg & 100% bloom. The taller plant has grown another 4 inches or so. I'm going to raise smaller plant so it gets more light. I sprayed down both plants a few days ago with neem oil, and soaked the top layer of soil with it. The girls did not like it, but seem to have recovered. I added some yellow sticky traps to top of soil. All Watering has been added in my diary notes below, but they are drinking about .6-.4 gallons every 4 days which I'm sure will increase to 3 days or so very soon. Both girls appear pretty healthy. Kindsoil doing great so far. The tips of the taller plant (on the tops) are curling downward and I'm wondering if she is just too close to the light/heat? Anyhow, thanks for checking out my diary!

Well the taller one is producing fast, thick, healthy looking buds. If you compare her to last week, the bud sites have tripled in size. The smaller one us doing ok too for a grunt. I have just lowered ph down a bit from tap water using apple cider vinegar as per instructions. Feeds are usually about .6 gallons for big girl and .4 gallons for smaller one, all noted in this diary comments. Pulled off a couple of dying leaves off each plant on very bottom. Still getting the leaf tips turning downward??? Not much in the way of wind or heat, so possibly they are burning through the nutrients in the kindsoil. I am rotating plants about every other day and leaf tucking. Not a whole lot of leaves so I don't want to remove any. I would say it's been a great week! Thanks for checking out my grow

Well, as you can see still have decent cola formations but severe burn going on. I don't know what to do about it as this is in a hot soil, perhaps too hot. I gave the big one her first flush today, put a gallon of ph 6.6 into her. She's still hanging in there but I would guess about 1/2 gallon less of kindsoil would have been perfect. She was doing fantastic until this week. The smaller one is starting to decline as well so I will flush her next watering. Still have insane-o frost on these flowers. Thanks for checking out my grow.

Well this was a hard week. I'm going to get some recharge and see if I can't help them out. Thanks for all the suggestions. I reduced the lighting to 20/4 in case this is heat/light burn. Will have to get some citric acid crystals for ph down and try to recover a bit. Removed dead leaves. The small one doesn't seem as effected and is punching out frost. Thanks for tuning in.

This week will be last one for the big plant. She just isn't getting much bigger as most of the fan leaves are gone. I will keep checking tricomes but she is at the end. Her smaller side colas are still getting a little bigger but she's basically done. The smaller plant however is still growing strong so I will give her at least two more weeks before harvest. She still has a ton of white pistils popping out of her. Thanks for checking out my diary.

So I realize this week is posted 1 day early, but I chopped the big girl down and wanted to post while info was still fresh in my mind. She's going to weigh in nice, she's very dense and aromatic. I've got the big one hanging to dry and will update this next week when I pull her little sister. Overall I'm pretty happy with how this turned out considering how many mistakes I made during the grow. I just have to nail this dry/cure and and all will be good. Thanks for checking out my diary this week and tune in next week for the other plant harvest! Happy growing!

Well this grow was a treat! I grew both in kindsoil and if I hadn't messed up the ph so bad, well who knows? Anyhow both plants really came through for me. I was so happy to keep the genetic defect one, as she created some wonderful flowers. I will try kindsoil again, it was awesome for at least 6 weeks. These girls will be very tasty after the proper cure as they were all organic grow. I learned a lot as this was my first soil grow. I have to thank all of you growers with your suggestions and help with my grow, you saved my behind more than once. I want to thank Mephisto Genetics for the yummy Sour Stomper seeds. These girls really packed some tight colas up in here! As I have not smoked these yet, I will give a smoke report later (the one posted in here was same genetics hydro and I suspect this will taste better). The other plant in this grow is posted in last weeks update. They are both drying now and I will give an update when I weigh them and I to jars. Thanks again for checking out my grow diary!! Update: so I got just under an oz from each plant. Less than I was expecting but I'm not disappointed. She is very delicious and her aroma is very pleasant. I did note that same genetics grown via hydro was ready earlier and those buds came out a bit denser. I highly recommend this strain. Thanks again for visiting my diary!
