Day 64: unquestionably in flower. Added one gallon of pH 6.5 water with nutrients. Day 65: No picture. Day 66: yikes! Left her in the dark for 24 hours. Forgot to turn the light back on after day 64's Glamour shots. On the opposite side, the damaged branch is upright. Perhaps it won't be lost. Day 67: looking thirsty. Added one gallon of water with early flower nutrients. One leaf has holes in it (not pictured). Will have to watch for pests. Day 68: Man this plant is thirsty. I don't want root rot so I will wait one more day for watering. One leaf has odd holes in it. It is directly in the path of the fan so I wonder if it is related to that. Day 69: added one gallon of ph6.0 water no nutrients Day 70: Nothing remarkable to report

Since the AK-47 is autoflowering, do I just leave the lights on 24/7? 18/6 from the beginning? 12/12? Switch schedules between veg and flower? Thanks.

Hello @burnerac! I always use 4/20 light cycle for autos but thats depend on you . The more hours the lights are on the bigger the yield. Although i wouldn't recoment a 24/24 cycle. Every living creature needs to have some rest. Also i don't thinks its worth it to make anything less than 18/6! Happy growing !👊

Any thoughts on what is happening with the leaf on day 32? Any recommendations on trimming or training at this point?

Hello ! Well your plants can be bend with the LST technique but as she was slow during the first weeks you should not top or stress the plant too much (not recommended but you can , it's up to you) . By trimming I think you mean defoliation , so I'm not a defo pro , in your case it would be unuseful as your upper leaves does not block the light to your lower stems , even the effected leaf don't need to be cut before 50% is damaged ( I go to 70% as the plant still sucking the energy out from the old leaves). The only training I would do at that stage is to pinch the main stem just under the new nodes to encourage secondery stems growth. Concerning your damage leaf it can be heat like bulbi told you but the edges of the leaves would be burnt too ( not only the tips) , I would no bet on a deficiency as you'r using plenty of fertilizer ( do you check your ec/ppm level ? you should grab an ec/ppm pen to do so , it will help you to feed better) , but your plant looks pale like a Nitrogen deficiency , weird to me. I hope it will help you 😁👍

I've basically thrown all training out the window. I am not doing much more than just letting it grow. The tent really needs more lighting but that isn't going to happen this grow. I presume that flowering will begin within the week. What do I need to be doing right now?

That's some monster plant; I would suggest that you try to force flowering by setting the light schedule to 12/12 if it does not start soon, but before that, prepare the canopy with some training, consider supercroping the taller tops, it's easier to keep the plant height in check with it compared to LST.

Hey @Burnerac! There are numerous problems occurring here. I will give you the best course of action in this time period. First thing is to flush your plant with PURE water PHed properly for 4-7 days . This allows the plant to clear its system of all the nutrients that have been building up and allows the soil to drain the nutrients out without adding more. Again - Only water. You are overfeeding Herculean Harvest at 15.62ml/L which is double the max amount at this stage.(3-8ml/L). I have attached some Championship diaries below that utilize Herculean Harvest so you can compare the amounts used. I believe this is the source issue that needs solved! Hope I helped Burnerac, please feel free to ask any more questions 😎 ------------------------ growdiaries.com/diaries/6274-germ-039-s-six-shooter/week/34184 ------------------------ growdiaries.com/diaries/2375-mephisto-skywalker/week/13624 ------------------------ growdiaries.com/diaries/1329-first-time-space-bucket-grow/week/8481

Take a look at this day 126 picture. Is this foxtailing and is that bad? https://growdiaries.s3-accelerate.amazonaws.com/static/post/photo/4665/802772_second-cropilgmak-47-autoflower.jpg

Hey there so I'm not certain of the foxtailing from the photos, it does seem at the day 126 i see a big bud that has the fist shape to it and another couple with the tall point out the top which could hint at fox tails. however i know my summer grows pretty much all had some relative fox tailing happen deep into flowering and I had pretty low humidity to deal with consistently....7-35% and fairly high heat 90+. If you have both the 300 watt and 600 watt going during flowering its possible they're getting it at those top most buds from heat/light stress. This isn't exactly bad other than the fact of heat/light stress i believe can start lowering the thc or affecting terpenes etc. I think your main battle will just be having a couple oddly shapped buds. Hope that may help a little, happy harvesting. ✌️

Autoflowers are sensitive with their roots they like is loose and fluffy nothing that keeps them Back, Most times rockwool to germinate is to much for her, i would recommend to took on other growes who do dwc and how they solved it with their autos.

You might want to consider dialing back the watering a little. They need a little bit of a dry spell in between waterings. Also, test your runoff ph and tds and post that data also. It helps to identify issues. Good luck!

Hi @burnerac, what happened is some over feeding probably due to some overwatering which caused too much available nutrients, and so your plant is "locking out" some nutrients for example magnesium and potassium. That's why you're getting these wierd deficiencies even though you give nutrients. So how to fix this is next watering only plain water until run off and follow a more strict wet / dry cycle. Hopefully the plant will recover, just keep an eye on it, and try not to stress it in the mean time. Hope this helps ! 🚀

@BeefWellingtons, 5 gallon smartpot. The smartpot is in a plastic pot with lots of space around it just for support. It has weep holes and breathability.

@burnerac, how big are your pots? Do you have something under them has raised edges, allowing for flow to come out, or is it just a flat surface?

Hey burnerac, that's classic light burn from the stress caused by the light. that fan leaf was probably jutting out so it got loads of photons shooting into it. Not to worry, you want to dial your lights around 15/16 inches away max so you"re in the good distance already. Keep doing what you're doing, just check your lights every so often because it's gonna blow up hopefully. hope this helps ! 🚀

I wont coverup the seedlingsstation. and i would try small Jiffys or small single pots. where you can transplant them easier after sprouting . Those tablets are not good to handle. lack of soil, danger of overwatering . The Best is a biiig pot after germination Autoflowers like it if you give them the final pot filled with prefertilised soil after germination... then they will be big and healthy
burnerac

@Mrs_Larimar, I think I'm going to go straight to 5gal smart pots. I like the idea of switching to jiffys.

To answer your question: Could be, it looks like it is, but I'm not really sure. Foxtailing is not bad per se, it is a symptom of a problem. It happens because of heat stress and that is the problem. Check the temperature at the top buds level, if it is too high, you need to lower it or increase the light distance.

There’s no perfect schedule to water a plant ... it depends on plants size and pots size ... The best thing to do , water your plants until you see the drain coming out of the bottom of your pots, then lift the pot you will see how heavy it is, keep the weight in mind and check the pots weight every other day until it gets light again.... it’s easy 😊

well well, in my next life iam cretaing my own" Nutrients Line" I dont want to talk of the 4 Products that containing N, wich are adding up.( Nitrogen excess) That maybe she bares. But you gave your plant a huge amount of P and K with Hercules Harvest. The P+k Elements are in the Plant, and the ones she needs now, cant be absorbed. Because the plant is" FULL" fed up. Solutions: Skip all Nutient Bottels with an N ( Nitrogen) for that grow. Give her a nice Flush, reduce hercules Harvest, because budbuilding depending in a lot of factors TIME; LIGHT; POTSIZE and in the end in Nutrients. You have to deal with a lockoutsympthom, some leaves will get brown, crusty , yellow etc. But in the end Hemp is very resiliant. Happy growing
Mrs_Larimar
Mrs_Larimarweek 13
My recommendation: sort your bottles .... there are a lot with N... and another few with P and K , choose one bottle with N-P-K for the first 4 weeks ( Low percent around 4-), then one with lower N and more p and k and maybe for the last weeks of flower the Hercules harvest greetings

hey there I started with 24/7 but switched down because i kinda over did it but i would still suggest 24/7 but maybe with veg lights, then switch on your bloom lights and throw a nice resting period in there. What's great about autos they dont really get light leakage stressed, but they're still seedlings in a way so too much light will stress them out too. Maybe vary the intensity, go lower to higher, same with the lamp to plant distance and enjoy the veg !

Personally I like growing my autos under a 20/4 light cycle. I keep them under that light cycle for the duration of the grow. Works great for me. Good luck 👍

In 12-12 autos are not good i had them from the beginning on 12-12 schedule they gave me 5 gramms each plant and some gave me seeds also though they were auto matic. So no 12-12 and no outdoors because my experince from autos is 18-6 light is the minimum and nature canot provide you 18 hours f light.

Hi @burnerac! You did fed an autoflowering strain with a crazy amount of nutrients, and as a result, your plant is now burnt, foliage is dark and curly, you also have brown spots, global yellowing and purple stems, so that's multiple issues at once. Proceed to flushing, for at least 5 days, and help the medium to dry with a tiny fan slightly blowing on your container. You must have some salt buildups in your soil and roots are flooded in nutrients they can't handle anymore. Take it easy with her next meals, you must decrease the EC. Do you measure the EC? Otherwise this could explain how you managed to get into this situation. Flush flush flush, only plain pH'd water, and see how it goes after a few days. Affected leaves won't recover but you should see buds fattening and in the best scenario the new sugar leaves should have a healthy green. Hope this will help, keep us up-to-date and happy growing 👊
